Ordered iPad Pro 13 , deliberated over 11 version or iPad Air 13 but decided to get the best for my 60 birthday 🥳

I ordered the 11 inch for pickup today at the Apple store, but I think i’m going to ask them if they got any 13’s in stock to swap it with. The screen is gorgeous and having the bigger one seems to make a huge difference

I just got one of the new 13 inch models and I can honestly say there’s barely any difference. I needed one since my screen was cracked and I didn’t wanna pay the replacement on the old one, but I was stuck with my 2020 iPad Pro as they look and run identical, just my two cents for anyone looking.

Great video! I ordered mine the day they announced! It should arrive any day now and I’m quite excited. I’ve been overdue for an upgrade, and as I incorporate more 3d and much bigger files to my art workload, the old iPad has been chugging a bit. I get the “running out of memory” message pretty much on everything I do these days. But, regardless of that, it hasn’t ever stopped. So technically it’s working just fine. But i really wanted this newer IPad Pro!

I have the M2 12.9 inch iPad Pro and there’s really no need for me to upgrade to that iPad because my iPad can do everything that iPad can do and the mini LED display is gorgeous, but I’m sure the OLED looks a little better, but I’m not upgrading for that

@@MattTalkTech 11". I would have enjoyed the extra large screen. But 11" fits perfectly in a medium sized handbag or backpack. And I bring it with me to appointments a lot. The Apple biz rep said it should be big enough to edit on it.
Good morning from Australia. I had my new keypad arrive yesterday and my new apple pen the pen seems a little thicker but that could just be me lol
I'm just waiting on the Ipad now but I'm excited and listening to many reviews any of them yours I'm glad I got the 1 Tb so I get full chip set usage cover time, I am in university and not only is my Ipad very useful with that we also use ipads at work making having my own very helpful with documents and photo’s transfer I know many say it need to be programed like the mac laptop but I think Ipad is great on iOS I can use so many apps that are not as easy to use on the laptop example pic collage something I use everyday.

Oh I'm worried about one think, screen scratching with the new keypad being harder material and pressure on the screen when it's in your bag the last one had a little flexibility and softness so didn't do damage to your screen, what are your thoughts on this? I know I can get a screen protector but do you think it will be a hindrance for screen damage and also the heat sink in the back if you have it on your keypad always is that going to make problems with dispersing heat? I ask because I'm not sure how it all works can you answer these questions for me in your next video pretty please

Mine should be arriving this afternoon. I’m looking forward to seeing how well it handles 3D modeling. Outside of that, I’m pleased that Apple is using OLED screens on the new pros. Content creation and consumption will definitely benefit from it.

Yes, I plan on on getting the new iPad Pro. I’m not sure if I will get the 11in or the 13in. I will also be getting the new pencil.

When more time passes can you review or recommend alternative accessories for the iPad like from ESR etc…. Cases, screen protectors? Maybe even skins if recommended

jumping from an intel and ipad 2. should i get the m2-m4 or wait if the ultra is announced after the iphone 16. it is so hard these days to find a lasting ipad, i belive macbooks last a bit longer but not sure how that will be next year.

Hey Matt I ordered the 512 WiFi + cellular m4 pro 13” I do a bit of video editing in 4k and gaming I don’t know if I should change my for the 1 tb , I don’t need the 1tb storage I’m fine with 512 but if I’ll take the 1 tb will be only for the 16 gb of ram and the 10 core instead of 9 what do you think please help me
You showy a quick clip that really shows the difference in the displays. Wow. I upgraded because I do a lot of video editing on mine. As you said, this is not for the occasional or anyone who doesn’t need the power of the M4.

I want the new iPad Pro but will have to wait until about oct now before getting it. My old iPad Pro the first is very old indeed.
I’m surprised you didn’t notice how much thinner it was. It was the first thing that struck me, because it’s so much lighter. I never used my previous 12.9 “ model in tablet mode, simply because it was heavy, but this one I can use without any issued. It’s the first iPad Pro I will buy a cover for, because it’s now portable enough and useable in the hands. The Pencil Pro has so much potential locked in it, and not just for drawling. That’ll be for the developers to unlock, and for Apple to see whee they can improve API’s to allow them to take it further. What I’m wondering is if this device will be supported by the Vision Pro, as I can see something like this, or something else with the same technology taking advantage of the Vision Pro’s immersive nature. The4 keyboard came with all the nice subtle changes that improve it and elevate to a new level. That’s how Apple operate best, when they iterate and refine what they have done before. That’s the sign of a proper design process that is working.

Awesome! Can you please do some GPU testing? Do some gameplay on highest for Resident Evil 4 , Village, Death Stranding, COD War Zone and show the FPS and heat testing? This would be a great way to test the GPU especially for us gamers. If you do please test each game for some time, at minimum 30 - 60mins each to see if there is any heat throttling.

I have the IPad M2 11", needless to say I don't need this new iPad at all, however I'll probably get the next one in a few years, hoping that its gets to be a perfected version of the current one!
Thank you for showing the 9 core M4, I have one arriving tomorrow and am delighted it is still stonkingly fast, even though, unless WWDC gives anything up, I'll have limited options to push it. Procreate, Valence 3D and Nomad Sculpt will be my go tos with some Lightroom probably thrown in there as well.... it is bonkers to think that this M4 chip is >57% faster than my 14" 10 Core Macbook Pro M1 Pro in single core performance and almost 10% faster in multicore performance
I've got a base model coming, which I will use for digital art, including Nomad Sculpt and Valence 3D as well as Lightroom
I DO want iPadOS to run more pro apps or better, run MacOS apps in some way
I am new to purchasing an iPad, my intention was to purchase the new iPad Air M2 but fail to be convinced so I'm teetering on getting iPad 10 instead however the 'find me' pencil option is very attractive a feature-I'm sitting on the fence for another couple of months.

Just received the 512 13 inch and its awesome. I panicked for a second when I saw there was no plastic wrap. I should have grabbed the M1 12.9 when they came out but I went with the M1 11inch. I sacrificed the bigger screen for 1tb Hd and the added Ram. Should have grabbed the bigger screen size 🤷♂️. No one really need so much Ram. Shoulda , coulda, woulda I guess. Lesson learned. You make great videos and your content is fantastic.

I just ordered a 13" iPad Pro. Was originally considering getting the 1TB but the small performance bump isn't worth the price for me considering that I don't need that much storage on an iPad.
Also the find my function isn’t complete with the pencil. It’s simply a Bluetooth proximity not NFC. starting to wonder how you researched this.

I've used the Apple Watch 7 and the Ultra 2, and really love the Ultra features particularly the battery life but I am 6'4" and 200 lbs and I think the Ultra is a big honking watch. Don't buy without going to the Apple Store to try it on your wrist.

I own the 11” M2 iPad Pro and I’m going to wait and see.
But, I can’t see why I need a CPU faster than my current M2 chip, because I’m not using any iOS software that takes full advantage of Apple Silicon.
I did try Final Cut Pro on the iPad, but I was very unimpressed by the software (sticking with the Mac version). The screen looks nice on the M4 model,
but so does the screen on my M2 iPad Pro. Like I said before, I’m going to wait and see.

Thank you for level setting these ipads. The base model ipad, and the highest spec pro, have almost all the same abilities. One is significantly more powerful, has better speakers, slightly better display but in the end, what they can do is so similar. So all that extra power, may not be needed or necessary by most people. Dont get me wrong, id love a new pro but if my budget is lower, I'd get a regular iPad.
My main issue with the other iPads are that their refresh rate is 60hz, I need a 120hz refresh rate to be able to enjoy the tablet and unfortunately only the pros have that feature.

My reducing the size of my iPad Pro with the M1 13 inch to the 11 inch iPad Pro M4. The big iPad is good, but it’s heavy and bulky.

Absolutely.
It's funny that most people don't understand this. The reason they made it thinner was to reduce the weight. The iPad is supposed to be a portable, versatile device, but MANY youtubers mentioned over and over again that when paired with the Magic Keyboard, the iPad Pro was both thicker and heavier than the MacBook Air, which kind of negatively affected its image. Now they are almost exactly the same weight and thickness, so problem solved. Also, I had the 12.9" M2 and it was uncomfortable to hold because of the weight, and when paired with a keyboard case, being top heavy was a disadvantage. Apple remedied all of this with the thickness and weight reduction. It was the smart move. I wish instead of making the switch to aluminum maybe they would have added a battery to the Magic Keyboard, adding enough (not too much) weight to keep things balanced while also increasing the battery life when connected to the iPad. But the aluminum chassis obviously grabs people's attention more so they had to go that route to get people excited about it. Overall it's an amazing iPad, but iPadOS is just annoying for most professionals' needs. Only artists or people with money to spare should get it, most people should instead go with the regular iPad, the Air or a refurbished older Pro model. In fact I sold my 12.9" M2 just last week and bought a MacBook Air, but I do think I'll buy a refurbished 11" M1 to use as Steve Jobs intended it to be used, as a tablet, an in-between device for more basic usage, content consumption etc. Why an older Pro instead of other options? Well I was pretty spoiled by ProMotion and I think I'd hate the non-laminated display of the iPad 10th Gen and the slower refresh rate of the M2 Air. Also getting an older model allows me to use the older 2nd Gen Apple Pencil instead of having to buy a 130 USD new one

I want to Get MacBook Pro because during the fall il be attending University. The MacBook Pro is a reliable and powerful tool that can assist me with all aspects of my academic journey, from taking notes in class to completing assignments and staying organized. Plus, it's portable, so I can easily bring it with me to campus or study sessions.

My basic M1 13” MacBook Pro battery STILL lasts 16+ hours and is 10x more functional and cost only £1100 years ago with a built in keyboard lol. Runs all the apps my aging original iPad Pro can’t and whose battery is dead as a dodo now. I would switch back to this new M4 iPad if June reveals some magic new iOS but I’m not holding out much hope.
It may be but I can’t justify getting this after getting a new iPad Pro last December…….
