Tricky for me on my iPhone 15 Pro max because I’m generally well below 20% charge when I head to bed and charge at night. Don’t wanna run out of gas before bed c
I can’t get the logic - why would I want to experience poor batter life in a brand new device? How many years of normal use (including occasionally letting the iPad sit on a charger to 100%) would result in the battery health dropping down to 80%? My 2018 iPad Pro has only just hit ~80% after many years of faithful service… just enjoy the 10hours & move on

Dude, you saved my LIFE with the Reduce White Point setting!!! This 13” M4 iPad Pro has an AMAZING screen, but in dimly lit environments, it can be brutally bright. I set my reduce white point to 25% (the lowest less bright) and it has made all the difference. Thank you so much!
All tips were helpful as a new iPad user. This device is amazing!! I have disabilities and had an appointment scheduled at my local Apple Store when I picked it up to help me.
Thanks for this - I’ve been using an iPad Pro since the original launch, and there are a few tips in here which are new to me and will improve my workflow. Thanks again.
I'm grateful that you've explained even the simple gestures because I've never owned an Apple device before this one and didn't even know the basics. Lots of people just assume that if you're buying an iPad, then you own an iPhone. Thank you for not assuming😅
I am embarrassed to say this. I just ordered the new iPad Pro 11” with all of the upgrades possible. I’m coming from an iPad mini 4 😂. Anyway, can’t wait to get my new iPad next week and try all of these features.
I just got my new iPad Pro 13 .It’s a bit 😂 of an upgrade from my iPad Air 3rd gen. I found this video so useful thank you. All the new features are overwhelming.
I just got my new iPad Pro 13 inch in Silver, with Magic Keyboard in white, and the Apple Pencil Pro - looking forward to unboxing it. Was just wondering - is it worth getting a screen protector for the iPad, and if so, which would you recommend?
I’ve found a 5 finger pinch to be way more consistent than 4 fingers for closing apps. You kinda have to swipe up with 4 fingers to go home, but 5 fingers is just a pinch.
Fantastic video, even though I've been using iPad Pro for years, I've always used a separate bluetooth keyboard and for the first time, with this new M4 iPad Pro, I also bought the new keyboard and Pencil Pro ... so your video taught me a lot of tips I was unaware of. One thing on this new M4 iPad Pro that I find a bit frustrating, is that with the M4 iPad on the keyboard feeling so similar to my MacBook laptop, so I continually try using the keyboard and trackpad to glide over to my other iPad, as I'm able to do on the MacBook with "Universal Control". It seems that this function should also be available on the M4 iPad Pro with its capable hardware. I always have a few iPad Pros set up next to each other and when using my MacBook keyboard I can glide across to access all iPads simultaneously, to drag & drop files, etc. This "Universal Control" feature definitely needs to be added to iPad so that users only need a single keyboard to operate all open iPads (and should also work with iPhone if it is also open nearby) with all devices connected to the same Apple ID.
I would like a workflow video for iPhone and iPad like how one uses it through the day and its multitasking features. Maybe a future video😁. Great job on this video!
I love it - promised myself I wouldn’t buy it and two days later i dropped 2300 got the 2TB. They are as expensive as MacBooks now. I just hope a power OS is coming this fall.
I definitely would like a gestures video. I’ve had iPad before I do have an iPhone, but I got away from iPad for probably the last six years and I’m purchasing the pro model. It will be here Friday
Just upgraded to the 13in pro from my m1 11inch. This thing is huge lol😂 I’m having trouble finding videos that aren’t all about replacing the MacBook. I have both, I just want to use each as individuals.
When you use the squeeze the pencil and the menu comes up, instead of clicking to choose one of the drawing tools you can double tap instead. So you can switch tools without even touching the screen.
can you get through the day with your ipad pro if you don't charge higher than 80%? i still have the ipad pro 2018 and want to buy the new one but i'm only doubting between the 11 or the 13 inch? now i have the 11 inch 256 GB.
I hope this doesn’t confuse you or anyone else, but I’m gonna try to ask as best I can. I just got my iPad a couple days ago and I’ve noticed that I can only access the emojis through pressing the globe on my keyboard. There’s no longer an emoji button on the actual keyboard. I see that you have it correctly, so I’m wondering if I’ve mistakenly turned it off or it’s no longer available? I’m currently running iPadOS 18.1 27:55
I’m new to using the iPad Pro and the new Pencil Pro. I was wondering what app are you using to do the “straighten text” and “add signature”. I was trying different things and neither of those options were available.
For adding a signature; open the Notes app, click on the paper and pencil icon in the upper right corner, then either tap on the blank page with the Apple Pencil or squeeze the Apple pencil close to to tip area but not on the tip. A palette will pop up. Tap the plus symbol, and Add Signature should be available.
When you have apps in the gallery that you don't use on any of the screens, is there a way to see which ones you're not actually not using? And I'm not referring to the unused apps function in Settings. I have a lot of apps in the gallery and I haven't used them for a long time. I want to delete them, but I can't go forward and back 100 times to see if each app in the gallery is in on a page yes or no. Do you have a quicker way?
My M4 iPad Pro 11 is supposed to arrive tomorrow. The first thing I will probably do after setting up the iPad is check for an update and restore my iCloud backup.

Depends on how you use your ipad. As an artist who uses ipads heavily for drawing/illustrating I think it's worth the upgrade from my 2019. Mainly due to the upgrades to the pencil pro and new functionality (hover cursor)

What's the very first thing you do when getting a new iPad?
Set it up from the previous one I have.
Screen protector, case and the purchase of AppleCare plus.
iPad 8th gen. Still works great
Open the box and turn it on.
Search for things to turn off in setting like apple spying on me…
The 80% limit really works. I’ve had it on my iPhone 15 pro since launch, and I’m at 210 cycles and still at 100% health.
That's awesome to hear! I'd imagine it makes an even larger impact on the iPads. We will see!
Tricky for me on my iPhone 15 Pro max because I’m generally well below 20% charge when I head to bed and charge at night. Don’t wanna run out of gas before bed c
I charge to 100%, primarily use fast chargers, 243 cycles and 100%
Same with my 15pro. Kept in 80% limit only charge it to 100 when I’m going to events or concerts. Still at 100 percent capacity since launch day

Great video. Thanks for clearing up the dynamic volume thing for me. In landscape when adjusting volume, I thought I was going crazy. 😝
I’m debating returning the iPad over this, it’s utterly obnoxious that you have a 50/50 shot of a button working or doing the opposite.
I would like a workflow video for iPhone and iPad like how one uses it through the day and its multitasking features. Maybe a future video😁. Great job on this video!
Thanks for the video. Since the new IPad Pro uses OLED display, I advice to turn the darkmode always on because black screen saves battery life.
This vid was worth watching for the calculator tip which had completely eluded me.
And if you’re doing multiplication just use the X key 🙃

For the barrel roll, he used Freeform. For the straighten text and add signature, he used the markup feature in the Notes app

I use my iPad a lot and the battery drains to 5-10%. Is it still worth using the 80% limit?
Bottom line is that nothing on earth can prevent battery degradation. Limiting a charge to 80% will limit standby time. Switching to a 5W charger would be less strain, but take a little longer to charge. Ultimately, a battery replacement is the true option. And before you complain about the price of a replacement battery.. just wait until we’re all forced to have electric cars. Your soul will likely leave your body.
