    The only thing I think that will change most people's belief is seeing someone else have amazing results with a WFPB way of life. I have actually decided that I have a responsibility to be wildly successful with this way of eating. To SHOW others the way, not just tell them. If we, as a group, are successful in restoring our health and getting to a fit and healthy weight, others will have no choice but to pay attention. These doctors like McDougall, Campbell, Bernard, Esselstyn, and others have spent their lives paving the way. It's time to be in the process of grabbing the baton and running with it. Then we can show and tell the world. We can't rely on politicians and industries that are led around by donors and money.
    Let's do this and bring others with us! The more successful we are, the more minds we will change!!

    I like the idea of people making their own decisions about healthcare, but the problem is even when given the information - whether it be about diet or vaccines - many don’t have the time, understanding, or belief that the information is true to make an informed decision.

    Love and deeply respect Dr. Campbell's work, and enjoy Chef AJ's videos. I've made a change to a WFPB diet five months ago and this channel has been incredibly educational. I'm dissapointed by the opinions expressed regarding vaccination though. I see vaccination not only as a way of protecting myself from viruses but my community as well. WFPB people do not have special superpowers to block viruses, we can get infected as anyone else. Moreover, since following this lifestyle makes us healthier in general and stronger to battle infections, we may not even know we are carriers and infect others unknowingly. Not getting vaccinated would put you in the same camp as the deniers, and conspiracy theorists, albeit for different reasons, contradicting the scientific and ethical approach on which you base your life's work.

    • @Mrm1985100
      @Mrm1985100 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't hear him say to not get vaccinated. He was talking about extra protection from a healthy diet and the studies that have come out since this have vindicated him.

    Academic Science is different than paid for "science" and I'm SO APPRECIATIVE of the point of NUTRITION SOLVING CRISIS in this country and crossing into economics and bottom line is you eat to live rather than living to eat! WISHING FOR SOCIETY TO WAKE UP and eat plant based to feed their body what is desparately needs. We over burden our immune system yet so easy to build it with simple foods that come from the earth, fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds "exclusively" and create amazing energy and health. I don’t think in biblical times they could ever have imagined the proportion of suffering that animals are put through in modern times, and I don’t think they would be okay with it.

    • @IntuitiveCoachTheresa
      @IntuitiveCoachTheresa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes, God said in the Bible not to abuse animals. He did allow for animal sacrifice to cover the sins of His people Israel (there must be a shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins, which is why His Son Jesus was called the Lamb of God who was sacrificed for the sins of the world-crucifixion-but He was the final sacrifice, God Himself supplied it to save us from destruction if we believe in Him). It was never God's desire that animals be sacrificed for our sin, but He can't change His own law otherwise creation would be destroyed, since He created it. In the Garden of Eden, they did not need to eat animals, that was something the Lord allowed for after the great flood, but again, not His original design for us. Lots of things changed after sin entered the world from the fall in the Garden that God did not create. When Jesus returns, likely we will go back to being vegan again. Personally, I can't wait. We are close to that day, as we can see from the events in our world today. Hallelujah!

      We're supposed to be good stewards of the earth. I give us an F...we've got to do better and if everyone were to stop eating animals and processed foods we'd put those entities responsible for so much misery for both animals and humans out of business (or they would have to adapt).

      @@IntuitiveCoachTheresa There are many paths and mythologies leading to the one God. Many of the faithful say only their path alone is genuine, the truth is they are all valid. Hare Krishna, Allahumma Barik, God bless you.

    • @IntuitiveCoachTheresa
      @IntuitiveCoachTheresa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that's a prevailing view, moreso in recent times than in antiquity. The difference is that monotheism (one creator God-Christianity, Judaism and Islam) says there is only one path to God as there is only one God. Many pagan and eastern religions believe God is in everything, therefore a tree can be a god, an animal can be a god, etc. This is called pantheism. Only one spiritual path-Bible based recognition of Jesus Christ as the prophecied Messiah who will save people from the destruction because of sin ,(Yeshua Mashiach is His true Hebrew name) distinguishes a living God who has a personal, now time, ongoing living RELATIONSHIP with His followers, and the Bible narrative of who He is and why He came is unique only to the Bible based path of becoming His follower. I do not use the term "Christianity" because it has been horrifically misrepresented, used to justify atrocities and is mostly not Bible based today. That term was invented in the Greek within a century after Yeshua's ministry was concluded. The early followers of Yeshua as the Biblical prophecied Messiah were called "People of the Way," as He said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me." So, everyone believes something, those who believe the Bible is the only true, inerrant Word of the one true and living Creator God (who is not "Christian", He is simply God. YHWH, Yehovah, Adonai, Elohim, El Elion-there are some of His names.). Everyone believes something, I believe this as do many millions around the world. Again, most of what calls itself "Christian," in the past and present, is not at all or only in part Bible based. This is what I believe. This is not what you believe. We are both entitled to what we believe. However, Truth is not relative; that is an utter oxymoron. So there IS a Truth about God. It's good to seek after ultimate Truth. Jesus~Yeshua said, "I am the way, the Truth and the life," so then, Truth is actually a PERSON. If we are spiritual people, we care about being sure we know who God really is, since we want His blessing. I was a new ager, professional psychic, Tibetan Buddist and Anthroposophy practitioner, did yoga, astrology, was an intuitive healer (still do that for a living) and channeler for 17 years before God called me to Him and I was saved out of all that. My life was in chaos, He started healing me and set me on a straight path. What I know now is that Truth is Love, and Love is Truth, and they are both a person! Peace~shalom! Thanks for letting me share!!

    Early humans during an ice age had very limited access to plant foods, particularly in the winter. Meat is a highly concentrated source of calories. I hypothesize that humans started killing animals to access this concentrated source of calories. It was likely critical in order to survive winters, particularly during an ice age, when sufficient amounts calories from edible plants were unavailable. And because meat is actually plant food that has been "processed" via another animal, it became humanity's first "processed" food. Crouching around a fire to keep warm, early humans would very quickly figure out the numerous advantages of cooking that meat to process it further. But now we have learned much better ways to sustain our caloric and nutritional needs that don't require animals at all.

    I changed my diet to get out of a wheelchair and to be able to sign my paychecks. My hands were becoming hardly even fit to clean myself in the bathroom. But my mother and sister had died of breast cancer and my father of Alzheimer’s, and I did not want to have to live in a wheel chair. I took a chance on an elimination diet and chose dairy to get rid of first as it had made me very sick as a child. I was right, the dairy was crippling me. Inside of one month, my hands were able to lift a heavy frying pan, and my signature looked like me again.
    My best friend was a nutritionist and she has been vegetarian for years, but I had to discover for myself. After my experience with just giving up dairy, I said to myself, “Hmm, this is interesting, and I want to explore this more”.
    Just before this I had spent some weeks doing Keto as it had apparently helped my youngest son…. It was not agreeing with me. I got so constipated nothing would pass, so I started on vegetable soups and got hit with such pain in my right side after giving up the dairy, my gallbladder was at the point of rupture. If I had stayed on Keto, I don’t think I would have lived. As it was, I was operated on, on my birthday and at that time, the hospital was in economic trouble in Lancaster, CA, due to the burden of caring for the homeless, that they where shutting down their OR. My surgery in the OR was the last surgery they did for more than a month. Had I not had that surgery then, the doctor told me I was at the point of death, so I would not be hear to tell about it. Though I had Kaiser Insurance, my doctor said I would not make an airlift by helicopter, the vibration would have killed me. So it was like an act of God.
    It all gave me the impetus to go after Plant-Based with a passion. I have not regretted it. I lost over 50 lbs. and was well enough to be taking daily walks of 45 minutes. My husband would not try the food I was eating, not even my version of eggplant Parmesan, with grated tofu instead of cheese. He was sure it was going to give him man-boobs.
    The next month, we found out he had prostate cancer and that it was stage 4 so I was still fairly new to Plant-Based and he had the surgery and I told him about “The China Study”, that even with robotic surgery unless he were to give up his diet heavy in meats and dairy, this surgery could be one of many and it killed me seeing how ill he was. This was six years ago, and he agreed to eat what I cooked. He recovered but he had to retire as he was old enough as he was a custodian and we lived in the high desert and after the spring, it gets very hot and both his surgeon and I told him he would not make it in the heat so he retired.
    We’ve been doing fine. He’s lost weight and his BP is much better, also but we use a lot of the plant-based meats to keep him on the path to complete plant-based. Now I can make meatless chili and he enjoys it, but it has been a journey to keep him cancer free which we’ve done.
    I am so grateful to the information I’ve found on TH-cam. One of the problems I have is I have really bothersome tinnitus so it makes it hard to concentrate on reading as the ringing is so loud. But listening to lectures is a pleasure as it overcomes the noise in my head and I have gained enough from listening to the truth of Plant-Based to solve my health problems and my husband’s too.
    Love your Dr. Campbell and you too, Chef AJ!

      I decided to give up my annual doctor visit. Too stressful dealing with the docs and their ignorance and insistence on sending me away with something to “cure” a symptom.

    Protein shakes are widely consumed by those who, like me, engage in weight training. As you know, whey or animal-based protein is by far the most popular amongst them. I enjoy a protein shake as training supplement too. However, I consume only plant-based protein. Is it the excess protein in a supplement the problem for, let's say an increased cancer risk, or only the animal based protein that's engenders the potential health risk? Thank you very much.

    I follow and benefit from the WFPB lifestyle advocated by Dr. Campbell and deeply respect his research. However, I am shocked that he says he’s never take a vaccine. You haven’t been vaccinated against smallpox or polio? I don’t believe it and am very disappointed to hear you say it, Dr. Campbell. Ditto for you Chef AJ. It’s those types of attitudes about public health that keep the very healthful WFPB lifestyle on the fringes of society and that’s a real shame.

    God.. it's God who created nature. It's God who created our bodies and cells and all our cellular mechanisms. Our immune systems and how our cells talk to each other its really so fascinating, and very much intentional. God is the reason we are made the way we are and our optimal health and how we keep it. Thank you for referencing the Bible. There was permission to eat meat. But it was unaltered meat. Not like the meat we have today. And permission isn't a command. It leaves it to us as a choice.

    God's original plan: Ge.1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
    12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
    30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. be loved

    The permission to eat meat was given as a reluctant concession after the Flood (Genesis chap 6 to 9) because humanity had degenerated to such a low level. It's not something positive in the Biblical story. Jesus taught that the non-violent vegan "beginning" was God's ideal (Matthew 19:8).

      He is giving of his time & knowledge, at HOME, where his wife is making dinner. Be more respectful. He's using his time WHILE she makes dinner, to enlighten everyone, on his own terms. There's another Dr., that gives interviews on his own terms while jogging on a treadmill. They're Drs., and very busy people, so it's a blessing, that they try to enlighten people while multitasking. Even if Dr. Cambell is retired, it's HIS time that he's giving to enlighten people, so he can choose if, when, & how he will do it.

    With all due respect, humans ARE superior to all other creatures. That's not to say creatures should be mistreated, but we have a much more developed brain. I never eat dairy, but the reason humans drink other animal's milk, is because we can! We also drive cars we invented, We have doctors because we are smart and can go to school. We have heating and cooling because we figured it out! So, that argument doesn't hold water. Again, I'm WFPB.
