    That's a really good video for anyone wanting to learn to use this tumbler. I see what you mean about the water being a little more tricky to figure out. With the Lot-O, it's exactly as you demonstrated with your jar. Easy.

      @@LemonySnicket-EUC the spray bottle is good but the amount is the issue. Running through the strainer get you very close and then maybe a few squirts for the dry components, the grit and borax.

      @@theduderollsrocks1843 I live in a very dry climate so I have different parameters. I find the spray bottle is very easy to use for getting the recipe just right. I'm also looking at getting the mini bowl for the smaller loads.

    Gorgeous rocks with a gorgeous shine!😍 Love that mixed color jasper, all of those colors, wow. I also really like the first piece that Luna said she liked. I love jasper and really like some cherts. Thank you for showing and telling your process in your vibratory tumbler, very helpful information!✌️🤠

    I had one of these tumblers about a week, no lie. Got of off a buy sell trade FB. The price was great but machine had seen better days, didn't last long. So thinking of getting a new one. Your rocks turned out amazing. Now I really want a new vib :) Thanks for sharing them, they are awesome 😊

      Thank you. You should also consider the Lot-O tumbler. Never had one but many using it with great results.

    I've always found that a spray bottle is the best way to add water to a vibratory tumbler.

    Looks like you got great results The Dude, Wolfie and Luna, very nice work! Those vibratory tumblers do an amazing job, but given the noise they make I would need to build a separate rock shop just to use one unfortunately. Thank you for showing us.

    What was your stage 3 grit? silicone carbide or aluminum oxide?

    • @theduderollsrocks1843
      @theduderollsrocks1843  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On this run we used silicon carbide. I use aluminum oxide on softer stones because it's less aggressive.

      @@theduderollsrocks1843 I'm a tumbler noob. I've just about got enough done in the rotary tumbler to try out my new toy, the UV 10. I'm doing an extra stage since I have the grit available. 220, 500 silicone carbide, then 1000 and polish with aluminum oxide. I was wondering if I should do 3 tablespoons of each silicone carbide, but if you are just doing a teaspoon of the 500 silicone, I think that's what I will do. Thanks for the quick reply.

    • @theduderollsrocks1843
      @theduderollsrocks1843  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gatchrocks The uv-10 is fun. You'll be an expert in no time. A lot of people run that extra stage with 1000 grit but I haven't tried it yet. With polish I use one or two teaspoons which is crazy because the manufacturer suggests three tablespoons. This was my first video and we keep tweaking our formula so someday I'm going to have to make an updated video. Thanks.

      @@theduderollsrocks1843 Thanks, Dude. What's the biggest rock you've done in the uv10? I was considering getting a 15lb thumblr rotary for bigger loads and wondering if the UV 10 will do rocks that are 3-3.5 or even a couple 4". Thoughts?

    • @theduderollsrocks1843
      @theduderollsrocks1843  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Biggest I've done is only about 2". Three should be no problem. Lots of media helps it roll better so don't be afraid to use 50% media.
