It's amazing how Phil's vocals can adapt to any rhythm and still sound amazing and energetic like any PANTERA song, best song to spend Valentine's Day alone 😅
This song defines perfectness, everything is perfect. It’s clearly the best song I’ve ever heard, I often come back here, always have chills when the solo hits. This is why pantera is one of the best band ever
Still my favorite concert ever. Prong and Sepeltura opened. Lubbock, TX, 1994. The walls were rattling as we entered. Snap your fingers was rumbling the entire building. I've never been so amped up in my entire life! One of my best memories ever!
Such a great song to listen to for encouragement and deep thought. It relaxes a worn down soul. And it should be mandatory listening for middle school kids.
Pantera...what can we say...they saved metal. Sure the song is edited but still amazing. Imagine what Phil, Vinnie, Dime, and Rex could put out in 2021. This band got me thru 20 years easy...🤘🤘🤘
FUCKING LOVE PANTERA. I didn't know anything about Pantera when I was in highschool..... I was taught recently. 38 fucking years old and I am learning...
The real unknown is why they didn't make a long video and then they would have cut it. So there would be the TV version and the Uncut version. As Metallica did with One with the TV version and the Jamming version
What sets this song apart for me, and makes it my favorite all time Pantera song is that each verse is like a vignette. The pauses in the music signal the ending of one story and then it gradually builds throughout the course of the song
Phil Anselmo has to be the most amazing Rock artist that I have ever come across in all my Rocker days when I was a teenager. He makes Rock music sound brilliant.
And I guess that makes Phil the king of metal!!! Totally badass! I mean, Black Sabbath and Metallica are awesome, but Pantera just took metal to a new level. No pun intended.😂
Watching a band in the making creating themselves in the moment, there is nothing that could keep anything but a thumbs up for the ingenuity that I see in this classic. Thank you Phil, Rex, Vinny, and Dime (God Rest)!
My brother was a big fan of Pantera in the 90s, I was a child back then but I've been passively listening to whatever he played as we shared the same space, so it did have a deep impact in me, I was around 7 years old at that time, my bro 9 years older. Now here I am 25 years later listening to Pantera again. I've been listening to black metal since 13 but I must admit pantera are really special and immortalised legends...
3:45 Finishing your solo part with that hand move is beyond sick! It looks like the fucking reaper is reaching out to you. He was probably the most metal guy to walk the fucking planet...
Dimebag passed away when i was 4 years old. I wish i would have been born much sooner than that so i could have seen him on stage. He's a big inspiration for me. Rest In Power \m/
I love every member of this awesome band! Phils journey is why he is still here to embrace it, learn from it. The core addict is usually the one that has to deal with the pain because we tend to induce it and live through it. But never hate yourself for it. GetchaPULL!!🤘✌
Pantera, specifically Phil, was my childhood and strength, I still feel so strong when I hear any Pantera song. lol. Nothing will ever compare to what this music and voice have given me. Also, this song makes me think of my ex and how much I can't stand him and I'm so glad to be tf away from him. :)
I was gathering my tolls an friend picked me up so we got 2 the job site an when I heard dimebagDarell, wasn’t with us no more ifreckout. Damming everything iwas sheeting the roof after that I was thinking of why who did this nonstop who’s this asshole just wasted time thinking YYYYYYDidhehave2 do that?????????
i can proudly say that i have seen Pantera in concert TWICE. The first time was in Autumn of 1992 when they played at the Glasgow Barrowlands and i was 14 at the time. That was my first ever concert. What a great show. Then i saw Pantera again in Autumn of 1994 when i was 16 years old, again at the Glasgow Barrowlands. Pantera are total legends.
The fleeting moments when the camera catches Rex, he looks so intense! They were all such great matches for each other, especially Phil's voice being the vocal equivalent of Dimebag's guitar tone. I wish they could have lasted longer.
in Iceland at the hard rock cafe, on a school trip. they were playing music videos, and this came on. everyone looked at the screen as soon as the chorus hit. as they were basically non metalheads, their reactions to it were amazing. I also got introduced to damageplan there as well. RIP Vinnie and Dime; never forgotten!
Facts...this has always been one of my favorites songs...Pantera is one of the greatest bands ever and always will be! I'll always listen to them and have since like the 7th grade...which was early 90's? Holly crap! I can't believe how old I am wtf!
i have been listening to pantera for over a year now and i can say with 100% certainty that i havent fallen in love harder with anyone else than pantera, absolutely fucking great songs
When last I checked, the venue (Alrosa Villa) was up for sale. I hope someone buys it who wants to keep the place, it's fairly run down. I live less than 3 miles away.
I've never ruined my vocal chords screaming... Anything from this to straight up death core, the only problem I have is singing the same octave... My singing voice is where his talking voice is.. Really fuckin low.
When I was a child I thought this song was weird because it was always going from slow to aggressive to slow... Now I think it was made by living legends.
The tempo doesn't actually change, the song just alternates between the clean guitar riff and the heavy one with distortion that gives it a faster *feel*. It is just the impression some listeners get.
+Sarah Schoen Sadly, I've learned the hard way not to listen to their catalog while working out. Sometimes I don't know whether to start moshing/headbang or lift
Dammit Pantera, I told you to get out there and mow that lawn! Oh, what's this? Is that a tear, Pantera? Oh, is daddy's little girl upset? I'm gonna kick your ass into next Tuesday, now get outta here! And quit acting like a damn little girl!
I remember it like it was yesterday, me petrified watching Dime soloing through the smoke. How impactful Dime was for metal... Dimebag had timbre, weight, melody and a completely different and impactful sound for the time. I experienced all of this in 1992, here in Brazil, on MTV. Long live the sound of Pantera.

This is why pantera is one of the best band ever
pantera never gets old
"Put 'this loh loh' on" - My 4yr old son. Good boy.
You've done well, my friend!
@Second Sight lmao
I sing death metal, black metal, etc. lyrics in school all the time. Teachers don't care.
@Second Sight hahahaha that kid is a badass
He has great taste
They care, you are black listed for life, they announce your presence to the armed guards upon you arrival at school. Keep it up :)
Yes
Pantera...what can we say...they saved metal. Sure the song is edited but still amazing. Imagine what Phil, Vinnie, Dime, and Rex could put out in 2021. This band got me thru 20 years easy...🤘🤘🤘
FUCKING LOVE PANTERA.
I didn't know anything about Pantera when I was in highschool.....
I was taught recently. 38 fucking years old and I am learning...
DAMMIT PANTERA THIS BEER IS WARM! GET ME ANOTHER ONE!
+Graham Kristensen YOU TREAT YOUR STEPMOTHER WITH RESPECT, PANTERA!
😂😂😂
+Graham Kristensen Thank you sir! ahah
+Graham Kristensen Haha, brilliant! Total blast from the past
Why does this sound familiar.
What a mind blowing solo, Dime really was something else, RIP LEGEND
One of the most beautiful Metal love songs ever. No more hatred!
Well if u talking about the lyrics it's ‘No more.... Head trips....
Head Trip, arrrgghhhhhh
The studio version of this song is so good I never understood why they cut it down for the video.
Probably MTV didn't want the song to be longer than 5 minutes.
I actually like this version more. I always thought the sludgy breakdown was pointless and didn't add to the song.
Adds a lot.
I came here for that fucking breakdown and I didn't get it, art was mutilated by this video version.
The real unknown is why they didn't make a long video and then they would have cut it. So there would be the TV version and the Uncut version. As Metallica did with One with the TV version and the Jamming version
They cut out the best part for headbanging, thats fucked up
What sets this song apart for me, and makes it my favorite all time Pantera song is that each verse is like a vignette. The pauses in the music signal the ending of one story and then it gradually builds throughout the course of the song
Phil Anselmo has to be the most amazing Rock artist that I have ever come across in all my Rocker days when I was a teenager. He makes Rock music sound brilliant.
Epic riffs from the riff lord himself. And legends on vocals, bass, n drums.
Omg
blasphemy
Jerry Cantrel is riff lord, Dime is guitar GOD!
Величайшая группа всех времён!

Soooooo sad both are gone. PANTERA changed my life....R. I. P Dime and Vinnie Paul

RIP Vinnie Paul. Thank you for everything, we will never forget you and Cheers to you and Dimebag Darrell.

Finishing your solo part with that hand move is beyond sick! It looks like the fucking reaper is reaching out to you.
He was probably the most metal guy to walk the fucking planet...
One of the best metal songs of all time
Dimebag passed away when i was 4 years old. I wish i would have been born much sooner than that so i could have seen him on stage. He's a big inspiration for me. Rest In Power \m/
I was also 4 years old at the time. Dimebag has always been my idol. The year I turned 12, I got a Dean ML. Coolest metal guitar ever!
I was born that year ig ...lol😂
I was 17 in Iraq and after I found out we played nothing but Pantera on our convoys. PS he didn't pass away, it was a brutal way to go
I was a month and four days old exactly
how tommy lee wanted you like a selfish child 0:18
I love the different drum patterns for each section. Very creative!!!

Never noticed that either lmfao
@@treehavn glad I’m not the only one🤘🏻
Woah!
All while playing guitar AND banging his head.
Cripes, he was talented.
holy shit lol
I love every member of this awesome band! Phils journey is why he is still here to embrace it, learn from it. The core addict is usually the one that has to deal with the pain because we tend to induce it and live through it. But never hate yourself for it. GetchaPULL!!🤘✌
Pantera, specifically Phil, was my childhood and strength, I still feel so strong when I hear any Pantera song. lol. Nothing will ever compare to what this music and voice have given me. Also, this song makes me think of my ex and how much I can't stand him and I'm so glad to be tf away from him. :)
Same but I’m a dude and can’t stand her she manipulated and lied over and over not gonna be taken advantage of like that
You treat your stepmother with respect Pantera!
Gin Rummy is that a tear pantera? Is daddy’s little girl upset?
best love song ever
Not ready but das ist gut may chin up
I seen them twice in concert. Both times they played this song. Both times it fucking rock hard
That's a good reason to be proud of! Wish I'd be able to see them... rock on brother
Holy shit really awesome
I was gathering my tolls an friend picked me up so we got 2 the job site an when I heard dimebagDarell, wasn’t with us no more ifreckout. 💛 Awesome! I hope you’re well and still reliving the memories. 💛
Lucky you! My husband was 9 years older than me and he got me into them. So can say I listen to metal because of this group right here.
Rest in peace Dimebag, today Dec. 8th it’s been 20 years since you passed away, one of the greatest guitarists of metal 🤘🏼
Today marks 18 years since dimebag died, rip legend
Today is 19 years
19 years today yes
I raise my 32 of bud ice
i can proudly say that i have seen Pantera in concert TWICE.
UKroids listen to Pantera? No way😂
You treat your step mother with respect Pantera!

musica linda!
The fleeting moments when the camera catches Rex, he looks so intense! They were all such great matches for each other, especially Phil's voice being the vocal equivalent of Dimebag's guitar tone. I wish they could have lasted longer.
What a badass song
in Iceland at the hard rock cafe, on a school trip. they were playing music videos, and this came on. everyone looked at the screen as soon as the chorus hit. as they were basically non metalheads, their reactions to it were amazing. I also got introduced to damageplan there as well. RIP Vinnie and Dime; never forgotten!
I still can't believe this song came out 30 years ago. It's still touches me to my core, it's a very deep, emotional song and I can relate to it. 💔
@Phil anselmo Fake
16 years ago today, Dimebag Darrell was fatally shot on stage in Columbus Ohio. R.I.P.
one more reason that town is a complete shit hole
When last I checked, the venue (Alrosa Villa) was up for sale. I hope someone buys it who wants to keep the place, it's fairly run down. I live less than 3 miles away.
My home town......FUCK. So sad. RIP Dime.
Don’t forget Vinnie, Dimes brother died also recently to! Both legends!
@@zerofuckkksgiven8027 Vinnie didn’t get shot though...
One of the greatest bands of my generation
Oops, you spelled 'ever' wrong.
I don't always like to damage my vocal chords but when I do its with some Pantera
Charlie 💕
Charlie but when? Just in chorus and breakdowns
I've never ruined my vocal chords screaming... Anything from this to straight up death core, the only problem I have is singing the same octave... My singing voice is where his talking voice is.. Really fuckin low.
Same
Charlie I can't deal best comment on here! 😅
PS I think the music we had. That understood us fully, literally saved lives.
When I was a child I thought this song was weird because it was always going from slow to aggressive to slow... Now I think it was made by living legends.
The tempo doesn't actually change, the song just alternates between the clean guitar riff and the heavy one with distortion that gives it a faster *feel*. It is just the impression some listeners get.
i love the way this song start out all boring then goes heavy , this band is perfect to listen to when your playing video games or working out
+Sarah Schoen Sadly, I've learned the hard way not to listen to their catalog while working out. Sometimes I don't know whether to start moshing/headbang or lift
Boring? You better walk on home boy.
+Nicolas Garcia RE-SPECT!!!!!!!!!
Dylan Hanlon WHADDYA SAAAAY!!!!!!
I mean this song has kind of a slow beat, then goes extream metal.
Phil has such an amazingly diverse voice, respect mate!
It doesn’t get much better than this. Pantera is The Beatles
Dammit Pantera, this beer's warm! Get me another!

Dear TH-cam,
When I type “This Love”, I don’t want Maroon 5. Thank you

Is this some sort of in joke?
Djkatman29 You ever watch Beavis and Butthead back in the day?
DoctahPeppah It's before my time
I remember it like it was yesterday, me petrified watching Dime soloing through the smoke. How impactful Dime was for metal... Dimebag had timbre, weight, melody and a completely different and impactful sound for the time. I experienced all of this in 1992, here in Brazil, on MTV. Long live the sound of Pantera.
One of the most iconic riffs in history
This is probably my favourite song by Pantera. I miss you a lot Dime
"This Love"
If ever words were spoken
Painful and untrue
I said I loved but I lied
In my life
All I wanted
Was the keeping
Of someone like you
As it turns out
Deeper within me
Love was twisted and pointed at you
Never ending pain, quickly ending life --
[Chorus]
You keep this love, thing, love, child, love, toy
You keep this love, fist, love, scar, love, break
You keep this love
I'd been the tempting one
Stole her from herself
This gift in pain
Her pain was life
And sometimes I feel so sorry
I regret this the hurting of you
But you make me so unhappy
I'd take my life and leave love with you
I'd kill myself for you, I'd kill you for myself --
[Chorus]
No more head trips
fucking right. this is my jam... this song gets me every time. fuck yea!!💀💀💀
