I've been listening to the brilliance of Pantera since I was about 16 years old. In my personal opinion, they have hold of an artform that just doesn't seem to age at all. Songs that are bordering on 30 years old. Still sound as fresh, strong and inspirational today, as the day when they first came out as brand new songs. People like the Abbott brothers and Layne Staley from Alice in Chains very obviously were taken away from the world far too early in the piece and we are only left to think of how much more greatness did they each have to give to the world. Enjoy what they have given to us and pray that all who follow in the footsteps of these incredible individuals live a long and fruitful life.
I just love how real the atmosphere in this music video is...literally every jam space I've ever been in. Small and confined space. Brick walls. Exposed piping. Probably a basement. Lots of booze and sweat. Not some fucking parking garage or random black space with flames in spots. An actual jam room.
he was super distracted by the drums through the whole video shoot i noticed. he was either anticipating all the crashes or outright playing them. creative differences. they were brothers after all.
0:04 Love it when Dimebag gives the finger after just a few licks of the intro. R.I.P Dimbag and Vinnie You've left an everlasting impression in my life, and your music has helped me through some very hard times. With every song I have listened to from Pantera, and every chord and note that I have felt, it has made me a more stronger individual. My emotions may have been heavy during those sad times, but your music will always be a lot heavier, and you gave me the strength and will to endure it, and carry it all the way. Thank You So Much
I wouldn't call that album glam metal, unless you think Judas priest is glam metal. That album sounded a lot like them. Phil was great on that one for sure. After that he stole Kyle Thomas' identity lol.
I was raised on this. Pantera was and always will be my favorite band of all time. I honestly think if that tragedy never happened Pantera would be the top dog for heavy music even to this day
I was fortunate to see them twice in the 90's. Once at a new years eve show in Fort Worth. I didn't realize it at the time, but that was probably the best NYE party I or anyone else will ever go to. The only way to top that NYE show would be with more headliners, which would be hard to put together! I'm glad that I was there though!
20 some years old now and still NOTHING touches this heaviness. Show me a band that has made something that outpunches this. I don’t think it’s been done. Thank god for the short time the Abbott’s had on earth to give us such powerful and timeless music. I’ll never forget or stop missing them.

25 years already, and there is no heavy metal band that surpasses that aggressive and powerful sound, for me the authentic metal band...

The Beatles was always playing in my parents car when i was a kid. My kids will have PanterA seared into their brains forever.
Why not both?
@@Thomas_17Cause PanterA are real masters 👊🏻🎸, Beatles suck and are ultra overrated just because they were first for tv and propaganda. 😜

u got some good ass friends. keep on listening to metal rock on \m/
CreepingDeath 222 I actually found them when I started learning guitar, I can't say the got me to start guitar but dimebag certainly made me continue to a point where I can play Cemetary gate (without solo fuck that it's impossible)
Josh Smith thats the magic of Dimebag Darrel, good luck with the solo
PD: if you think the cementery gates is impossible wait for the domination solo
i personally think cemetery solo is harder than domination solo, but each to his own i guess
SilverBane thats part of the magic of Dimebag Darrell, heavy riffs and imposible solos
I'm 57 years old, and I still get goosebumps, whenever I hear anyone playing Pantera, their music NEVER gets old 🤟🤟🤟🤟
I was born in 1964 so I can see where you're coming from. Love Pantera! 🤘🤘🤘
Omg
I'm 16, I've been a Pantera fan for a bit over two years. My girlfriend's recently started singing along to some of the songs and it's definitely changed the way I listen to the band in an amazing way. Rip the greatest metal guitarist ever.

LYRICS:
i wonder if we'll smile
In our coffins while
Loved ones mourn the day
Absence of our face
Living, laughing, eyes awake
Is this too much for them to take?
Too young for ones conclusion
The lifestyle won
Such values you taught your son
That's how
Look at me now!
I'm broken!
Inherit my life
I'm broken!
One day we all will die
Clichéd fact of life
Force fed to make us heed
Inbred to sponge our bleed
Every warning, a leaking rubber
A poison apple for mingled blood
Too young for ones delusion
The lifestyle cost
Venereal mother embrace the loss
That's how
Look at you now!
You're broken!
Inherit your life
You're broken!
That's how
Look at us now!
I'm broken!
Inherit my life
I'm broken!
That's how
Look at me now!
I'm broken!
I'm broken!
I'm broken!
I'm broke!

So much out of such little amount of lyrics...incredible
Forgot to do the guitar solo
I was lucky to be a teenager in the 90's and have older cousins who exposed me to great music like this, Pantera have always been there for me
This was the pinnacle of Pantera. One of the Greatest heavy metal bands of all time 💯
I don’t think anyone touches them for sheer power and groove.
The level of badassery in that song is not measurable.
This song always and always sounds so fresh after decades...
They nailed it.
No doubt. Just like now, I'll play this track out of nowhere and it holds up proper!
A Pantera masterpiece. Long live metal and rest in peace Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott.
I just love how real the atmosphere in this music video is...literally every jam space I've ever been in. Small and confined space. Brick walls. Exposed piping. Probably a basement. Lots of booze and sweat. Not some fucking parking garage or random black space with flames in spots. An actual jam room.
This literally was the jam room.
And by the time you left you were deaf as hell with an adrenaline rush still kicking your ass. Hell yeah.
How many of us are still jamming this in 2019? Thank you Pantera for being my first concert #RipDime #RipVinnie
Kris Ramirez I am still jamming to them
Headbanging at work right now! ;)
PANTERA EVERYDAY HORNS UP!! RIP DIME AND VINNY

You've left an everlasting impression in my life, and your music has helped me through some very hard times. With every song I have listened to from Pantera, and every chord and note that I have felt, it has made me a more stronger individual. If you want to hear Phil's vocal range, look up the glam album (their first album) they did together, Power Metal.
I wouldn't call that album glam metal, unless you think Judas priest is glam metal. That album sounded a lot like them. Phil was great on that one for sure. After that he stole Kyle Thomas' identity lol.
This is THE Pantera song that grabbed me way back when and MADE me pay attention!!!

I was raised on this. Pantera was and always will be my favorite band of all time. I honestly think if that tragedy never happened Pantera would be the top dog for heavy music even to this day
And if it didn't happen, all 4 members could have truly reunited after a bit of time apart.

@@dixonbourne How can I argue..?

Tanner Sharp, You have a cool Dad, who has excellent taste in music and sounds like your teacher was pretty cool too. Good shit! RE-SPECT 👊
Pantera were the Led Zeppelin of metal, in terms of what every member brought to the table. That’s what made them so unique. That’s why they were so tight as a band.
That’s what made them unmatchable.
