The Jeep was better, I always preferred the Jeep, Helicopter was just a bit boring. Aside from the lack of colours, it's crazy that this game plays better than the arcade. The arcade has like 5 seconds of looped music which is not good, and the Amiga has better SFX, it also ends. Whereas the last level in Silkworm arcade goes on forever, like literally lol They even added a last boss to this version
there was some kind of trick: When you shot the SECOND PIECE of that helicopter that puts himself together quickly, you got 2 pieces of equipment. I found this out by luck back then! :-)
This is soooo much better than the arcade game. It's not arcade perfect, but it doesn't need to be. The original arcade game wasn't that good to begin with its enemy spam plus normal enemies requiring more than one hit to kill. The music on the arcade original was also terrible as well. This refined everything from that mess and even features amazing title music! Fantastic port as expected from The Sales Curve.
Totally, having the arcade last forever and not having a last boss is also weak. The arcade is also really hard, like, if you choose the Jeep and are playing on your own, you honestly don't stand a chance. The Arcade is like 4:3 but the Amiga is like wide screen, the helicopter and Jeep are far too big on the screen in the arcade.
Another 80s classic that badly needs a mention on Family Guy. Speaking of which...I want them to make an episode where Stewie or Brian buys an Amiga 1000 or a 500.
What core did u use, mine keeps giving error messages? Am able to play most of the other a500 games but having trouble with this one which happens to be one of my favorite ones.
@@Perplexer1 thats no cheat thats Knowledge i played many Games Hardcore without loosing 1 life Rtype on Hard , Xenon2 ,Thunderforce 3 Hard and Battle Squadron for Example

@@Perplexer1 but what cheat? There was "scrap 28" if i recall correctly to give unlimited lives, unless these are cheats added through emulation? Having said that though i skipped through a few parts and i notice at 25:03 ish it looks to me like it impacted with another chopper and yet didnt explode. Hmmm
1. Why the sound effects were off? I only hear the music (at least in the beginning). 2. What does "CREDIT 3" inscription at the bottom of the screen mean?
Shoutout to all the younger siblings who perpetually played as Jeep ✊😊
Haha my sister was the jeep. Younger sister that is
Omg 😂😂😂

I played this soooo much :-)
Loved this game. I can still recognise the SFX anywhere but I had forgotten how funky the theme tune was!
The sound of the bullets hitting metal always stood out to me in this game. Such a great coop experience back then.
Thanks for the memories! I’m dying to get an Amiga 500 again, best gaming of my life was on that beast of a machine.
I agree . So many fond memories
The longest end explosion ever!

those sounds are so good and it is actually arcade perfect for once
The stereo sound was amazing. Used to stay up late playing this.
Brain remembers the music perfectly and didnt even know it!!!

This is so good and such a good game for its time. thanks for the upload. Now onto watching SWIV.
If I remember right, that game was top-down but also a chopper and jeep game, Then I think they renamed it “Firepower” for the SNES?
Nice longplay! Try to destroy the grey part of "Goose" copter before it gets to place and you get two upgrade items.
Ah showoff....
This was epic...amazing game...amazing gameplay...
I played this with my father, when I was a child - we never passed stage 5, but it was very funny :)

It's normal to have cheats enabled for a longplay.

War has a funny side.
So it's one of those games which you play with music or with sfx, not both at the same time ?
Not this one, but often it is.
Amazing :)
Wait is this related to SWIV?!
Yup! The Sales Curve developed both. (Silk Worm is actually a Tecmo game, but TSC handled the Amiga conversion)

No music? O_o
You can play some ABBA in the background while watching it.
