I assume they believe themselves to be made above all others and that life is a resource and a cheap one at that. I'm guessing they want to find someone who is "good" enough to have never failed once and assume that they will never fail, which of course, everyone will at least once.

Much of this depends upon the Sith Lord. All of them demanded excellence, but not all demanded unrelenting perfection. Darth Zannah failed Darth Bane at various points, but he would weigh his decided punishment with the knowledge that he might have failed as a teacher in that instance. Neither Sidious nor Vader actually expected unrelenting perfection, but they did expect high levels of competence, therefore failures were punished with severity.

The legends Young Jedi series, and Clone War novel, Anakin can't seem to keep people alive around him. In one book before Anakin became "knighted," he and other Jedi were sent to rescue a group of senators . He met a female senator that reminded him of his mother, and she died taking a blaster hit instead of him. He would have also been shot down, but the droid had "bad maintenance " and the droid weapon failed to fire a second time. I've been watching Robot Chicken lately, so reading Palpatine's lines in my head, all I hear is that version of him.
I left a like for *Terrible First Impressions*
I guess social anxiety and depression with fear for your life much be a common issue..I say to hell with the empire.
Restoration of Identity it's treason then!! 😂
The Empire’s highest ranking individuals would have a mental breakdown simply coming into contact with Earth and seeing our medical science pertaining to mental health. They would be like “What? You don’t think threatening someone’s life is healthy”
These little in depth videos explains so much. Once again a good video. Good job man 👍
No circular speech and the ending made me audibly laugh.
You have earned your like, swrc. Do not fail me again.
Got to like that imperial retirement plan. I just buried the sarcasm needle.
Palpatine: the Death Star was destroyed because of you! Thousands of my employees were killed because of you! Am I disposable income to you? It's time to teach you some responsibility, boy!
Vader: but Palpy...
Palpatine: No buts, boy! You know the rules... Now hand over the keys to the Star Destroyer. You must be disciplined!
Robot Chicken eyyyyy
i wanted to say this for a long time now " moff is dutch slang for a nazi in WW2 just as "Vader" means father in dutch ..... coincidence i think not
How the hell do you hide that you're a spy from Palpatine and Vader
You be an absolute madlad
They called him a madman
Everytime I hear
“In this video expose” I know it will slap ✊🏽
Darth Vader is still as straightforward as Anakin, something never change
I just wonder, between Vader and Palpatine how many skilled officer did the empire lost. I mean sure they made big mistakes but how many years and how much resources does it take to train officers. Must be a nightmare for human resources to replace them
Plottwist: she had the eyes of Padme
It must be weird having the eyes of a dead chick...I wonder why padme wouldn't be buried/cremated with her eyes in tact... ;)
Getting promoted in the Imperial Navy is a death sentence. Haha
I don't understand why a Sith would kill those who fail him in tasks themselves have failed previously. Do they not value experience? I assume they believe themselves to be made above all others and that life is a resource and a cheap one at that. It is simply easier to find another up for the task than groom those who failed the first time.
I'm guessing they want to find someone who is "good" enough to have never failed once and assume that they will never fail, which of course, everyone will at least once.
Basically you need to perfect or at least prove your importance is significant enough to be consider a valuable asset that they more leaner when job isn’t complete like tarkin
It is how the writers script out the plot that the editors want done.
Star Wars Pequels recanon everything we though we knew of Vader that was publish by Bantan books, which was nothing before EpIV: ANH.
Now we know Vader is a Tech genius.
But bad writing is still bad writing.
None of these writers spent any time talking with or reading what it is like to be working in a military shipyard let alone on ship.
If you think about it. Vader always wanted to overthrow palpatine. He was trying to pull LUKES coattails in empire?,
Yeah of course. He was to rule the galaxy with his father
@@Joshua-hz3cl check out the politics under my name! Be cool bruh. Its just my speculation.
But without the ambiguity..it would be as entertaining.
@@leomartin5965 I am chill. Vader basically says in both empire, and return that he wanted luke to rule with him. Like when he says "join me and together we can rule the galaxy as father and son". There is no ambiguity
Seen the title and was like: wow never thought about it lol....How Vader PROTECTED an Imperial *Milf -> clicking and seeing Moff......aaaaaah
If only...
Vader: "Hey, don't worry about it. I got ya."
Birrah: "So, uh, bye."
Vader: .... *sigh*
I dunno about you, but it seems Vader is far more merciful to Female Officers than to male ones.
I know there are more men than women in the empire, but we often see officers that Vader either goes “soft” on or rather teaches them certain things and leaves them at that, but rarely has it been a man.
We see this woman, then the next dark skin one with him being his new officer for a short time. I’ve seen this before as well. He’s befriended a male officer and had high respect for another one, but it seems he lets the female officers off easier.
Unless of course, it’s just coincidence?
It's probably just the writers tending to go that way in their stories, and not Vader's character itself
@@sashabraus9422
Yeah, makes sense. I feel that incompetence is rewarded with the same brutality, regardless of the Officer, when it comes to Vader.
But yeah, likely the Authors just not as used to seeing dynamics with more female officers in gruesome scenarios like the men often are
Thank you, Sasha, for elaborating upon the situation, the Thalmor delivers their deepest apologies for your recent death in the AoT franchise, truly a shame 😓
Darth Vader does something
me: Omg sooo cool!
I’d rather die by Vader’s hand than palpatine’s. Vader will just force choke you (which albeit isn’t pleasant, but better than what old Palps has in store for you) or just cut you down right there
Great video! Always like your content, but I always look forward to the end and " if not for me, then......
This is very interesting act for Darth Vader
Its just a simple cartoon, but you can feel the "WTH?!" in palpatine when he got of his ship and was met with this "acting moff".
Lol. Lt. Greg. All the silly ass names in star wars, I love the fact he exists.
I wonder if he saw a bit of Padme in this girl. Perhaps he thought there might be a chance at something more...a bit of the cyborg slide if you know what I mean.
Vader: "This never happened before I swear.
Birra Seah: "Laughter!"
Vader: Applies force choke- "Nooooo! Not again!"
I just came from a video that an Imperial commander went insane for failing his objectives and the consequence that comes from failure..
I always love it when Vader chooses brain over brawn
Recruitment campaign:
"No idea what you want to do with your life? No purpose or goals? Come join the Imperial Fleet as an officer. It's a job to die for"
The more of your videos I watch, the more I wonder what Vader killed more of. Jedi and rebels or his own troops.
Vader- don't worry, I'll protect you *tosses blaster* here you go.
I'd hate to see what kind of life insurance premiums the Imperial Officers attached to Vader had to pay.
I miss when I could clearly hear exposayyyyyy. It was so awesome.
I think we can all agree being a imperial officer is the worst and most stressful ever you would be better being a stormtrooper
Sidious: what do you mean they blew up the Death Star?!...aww F**k, f**k!!...who's they?!...what the hell is an aluminum falcon?!
Thank you Sooooooo much
I always thought that Moff was simply Tarkin’s first name...
Vader did not kill her for failing him, nor for defecting.
He killed her for not fearing him as much as she feared the Emperor (not killing herself).
When they talk about years going by...
Which planets time table are they using? Because here in this solar system for example...A day on SATURN is 10 hours compared to earths 24.
Years is the time it takes a planet to complete an orbit. And most works of fiction (and even actual science) us earths for reference. Such as x planet takes y years to complete an orbit.
@@Ragnaracc Sooooo when they talk about 20 done went by in the starwars universe, is it 20 Yavin years or 20 tatooine years or 20 Hoth years. or 20 Naboo years or 20 mustafarian years? Hell or. 20 korribanian years or 20 chiss asendancy years...whose time tables are they going by.?
@@leomartin5965 I would assume they are going off of corosaunts. It's also entirely likely that like in star trek it's an average of all the known lived on planets day/month/year.
Also most 'habitable' planets have similar orbits around similar stars so they have similar years anyway. The only real outlier is tattoine cause it has 2 suns.
it all happened so long ago it no matters now
Man this Vader guy seems really nice
Geez Vader next to the imperial officer made the officer look really short
*Video Title Exists:*
Visible confusion.
Palpatine's thoughts: I'm finna "Moff" your muff in a minute. Your station will be TTA functionary. What's a TTA functionary? I believe the spacers call it "TOOT THAT ASS UP!!!!!"
Nieda, Yularen and Tarkin are a few of the people who have served with him as Anakin in the final years of the galactic republic. Unfortunately Nieda wasn't safe from Vader's Wrath.
It's almost like someone forgot Darth Vader was the bad guy
are you ever going to do a review for the qui gon/obi wan book "master and apprentice"? would like to hear your thoughts on that if you have the chance!
Was starting to get Birrah Seah confused with Doctor Aphra. Vader sure has real rotten luck with people he trusts...
I'm sure Vader (and the author of the comics) must have loved BEER bec Birra is the italian word for the beverage xD!
I just don't understand why anybody would want to serve the Palpatine and Vader knowing that one mistake would equal death by one of them. Whats the point of allegiance when it's ultimately rewarded with execution??
Power, maybe. Lead whole armies, a planet, or even a sector...
Isn’t Moff the highest imperial rank? Or is grand admiral higher? Also, is a moff a System governor for political control while an admiral is controlling its fleets? Last question: how can one be a moff without a system to govern?
I also don't understand the position of Moff here. A Moff should be a Sector Governor and not a 'Death Star Governor'...
Nobody:
Captions: Bureau say, the moth of the empire.
So this is what happened while Bircher was doing his thing on Vader's Star Destroyer
Vader " The emperor is not as forgiving as I am."
I still love it ... Lt. Greg xD
"If anyone's gonna kill this bitch, it's gonna be me!" --Vader, probably
Damn, the more I read the comics and seeing these videos, the more it would suuuuuuuuuck to be part of the Imperial army.
Like damn
you can work your whole life, get to say, Admiral status and then just be killed by Lord Vader in SECONDS.
What a life...
If I was an Imperial I'd be on the lookout for where Vader and the Emperor was at all times. If they are over on this planet I'd make sure I was on the other side of the galaxy.
Acting Imperial Moff = Acting Regional Manager I swear to god that the real identity of Darth Vader is Michael Scott
Vader has good taste
Women around Vader tend to have a habit of dying don't they?
Vader is just a " public face," of Anakin Skywalker.
Women around "Anakin" tend to have a habit of dying don't they ?
The legends Young Jedi series, and Clone War novel, Anakin can't seem to keep people alive around him.
In one book before Anakin became "knighted," he and other Jedi were sent to rescue a group of senators . He met a female senator that reminded him of his mother, and she died taking a blaster hit instead of him. He would have also been shot down, but the droid had "bad maintenance " and the droid weapon failed to fire a second time.
He just stood in shock for a moment, from the junk shop and all his time at the Jedi Temple, he has been a droid maintenance worker, and he was still alive cause of shoddy maintenance. Unprofessional work ethic.
He then killed all the droids in the room and hallway, even the senators protocol droids.
Too soon dude!
So in legends, the second death star's superlaser stretches from the equatorial trench nearly all the way to the North Pole.
Alrighty then.
'Pay no heed to the Emperor'
Famous last words?
Jer-Jerod had no such protection when confronted by vader on DS-II.
