    The actual secret is practice. It's always practice. You can do precise powerloops at lower uptilt too, it just takes more practice and "feel" for where the quad is vs. visually seeing where you are. But I did think this little tip was worth sharing.

    For low camera powerloops having enough weight to have some momentum when you flick it is key and then the rest is learning the muscle memory of how your quad reacts based off your input. Keeping your quad consistent will help with this so it always reacts the same

      Im fully with you on this one. This is actuallt how i learned my powerloops in my short time in fpv.. i gues to each their own? I also had the tip to first try a sideways roll over the object you want to powerloop which gives you some throttle memory for the blind powerloop.

    • @ragndroneman
      @ragndroneman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sh!t!
      Came here to get some tips but I'm flying 1s whoops, with minimal uptilt, trying to loop, not that much weight there.....

  • @BubbyFPV
    @BubbyFPV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Higher uptilt definitely makes them easier if you like to use throttle throughout the whole loop. Lower cam angle you will be using more momentum on the top half of the loop. Good video

    I always found power loops and Matty flips super easy with my 50 degree uptilt, like really easy, like almost easier that rolls and flips. Now I know why 😂

  • @phiveone

    Dang, I thought it was practice...doesn't Cricket run 0 deg. camera angle? PDEVX also flies with a wider angle camera lens to see more as well.

    • @willpowerfpv3246
      @willpowerfpv3246 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was gonna say the same. Flying backward is not only easier with a lower camera angle, but you're not going as fast, so it's easier to control..
      I like 30°, but I like to do a lot of inverted stuff, and I find it easier to get a horizon lock...(or I'm just used to it)

    • @fearlessflyersfpv420
      @fearlessflyersfpv420 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      cricket only sets it at 0 for specifically backwards flying packs. Of course more uptilt allows you to see around the corner better, certain tricks are way more doable with more or less camera angle. Matty flips are nice at over 50 degrees.

  • @papamidnightfpv
    @papamidnightfpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I set my camera angle so that the horizon is at the bottom of my view when my quad is flat. It gives me enough uptilt but I can still just barely see the ground when I'm cruising backwards and low to the ground.

    Artificial horizon and horizon sidebars are the key to mastering different amounts of uptilt.

    • @cwwisk
      @cwwisk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I should clarify. Don't depend on the horizon bars if you can help it. Just use them to find a frame of reference for entering level flight. Readjust your "level" horizon that way. You'll adjust much quicker.

  • @Isuckatcod777

    I fly 45-50 degree uptilt and feel that higher doesn't "make" you go faster, it's just adjusting to the new lower horizon...you tend to go faster yes because level isn't what it was before, its like sitting in a recliner, just lean back.. hovering and doing slow paced proximity stuff with higher uptilt is still fairly easy once you've gotten used to the new horizon. nice work by the way 👍 -toad (the guy with the challenger from rampage)- video on youtube titled "I made bardwell squeal" 😀

      I'm flying pretty low uptilt by most standards of about 13° and yeah, powerloops, mattys, trippy spins are freaking hard

  • @AlvyFPV
    @AlvyFPV 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is fair, but as your pinned comment says the actual secret is practice. Changing your camera angle will never help if that is all you do. It will probably make you worse as you will start chasing your tail and over complicating things. You need repetition at the same camera angle to create the muscle memory, which is ultimately what creates good flying. Not what you can or can't see.

    • @JoshuaBardwell
      @JoshuaBardwell  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, practice is important, but come on ... being able to see where you're going obviously helps.

    • @AlvyFPV
      @AlvyFPV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoshuaBardwell ahahha yes of course! but if you do many tricks and combos without landing and changing your camera angle, you will also do things that are easier with a lower camera angle which then also have a blindspot. There will always be a blindspot somewhere, so muscle memory at one consistent camera angle is the only way to compensate for that i think. I really enjoy this type of content from you by the way! :)
