I flocked my 1987 Trans Am dash pad last summer. Car is still down (long term project car). Flocking stuff was fun. I almost wanna go double flock it because why does it look so much better with two layers??
So how hard is the flock dash to keep clean? I want to do this to my 79’ Malibu but I’m wondering about how to clean it. Since it seems textured I would think it would be hard to keep dust off the dash. How do you maintain your dash?
you have to spray it off with compressed air and hit it with a soft bristle brush every month or so. I wouldn't say it's easy to keep clean. looks great though and no sun reflections.
What the flock. It looks nice but got me thinking the entire car is petroleum based. 2:34 "i took the f%$&$ glue and thinned it out with mineral spirits.
SO this is one of 14 videos I'll be re-posting
the algorithm keeps striking my videos so I had to re-make 14 of them.
MAN THAT SUCKED!
Hey bud, what do you mean?
In the early 2000s I had a 98 Mustang, pulled the dash and wrapped it with suede fabric. Looked good when I lost saw the car in 2013ish.
Your videos are coming up at the top of my suggested list. It might be time to start uploading the swap content again.
Thanks for the tips on how to do this.
Awesome video!!
That looks great
Looks great! 👌
Damn good work
This is one area I am lucky in, my cars dash is still perfect.
Looks great, but why not just wrap the dash in alcantara?
you can wrap the dash in say leather or other fabrics.
If you wrap it in leather it will sweat and create moisture and also fog your windshield up so that's a no no

@@3rdGenGuy thanks! I dig the channel and have used a few of your videos to help with my fourth gen autocross/road race Camaro.
Is this a reupload from the one from last July 24?
Hi, you already published this video a while back, why again? Just curious 🤙🏼
Ok, I'm not crazy. The whole time I was watching this I thought I had already seen it.
the algorithm keeps striking my videos so I had to re-make 14 of them.
sucks to suck i guess
@@3rdGenGuy what? Why is it doing that?? On what grounds?
I did this in my firebird.
