It's the biggest gaslighting of all time. We all know what they are doing, we all know what kind of people spend the big money on them, but we are supposed to be quiet about it. "We don't need no man! But that old man spending his retirement money, because he thinks he's saving my sick grandmother, that's fine!"
We all have been members of groups and clubs, and know exactly what happens when you allow a certain type of guy or girl in. Women will either kick that girl out, or become jealous and start to dress similar. We often talk about insecure masculinity - but what's happening on Twitch now - is feminine insecurity.
I have no doubt that some women are like "well, sitting in a pool wearing bikini is my limit", while the others go braless, and she sees her income disappear. The internet doesn't forget.

There's just no barrier between kids and pron anymore. "Oh, if you're over 13, click this box" has never, ever, stopped kids. If a 13 year old can't consent to sex, alcohol, or driving, why are they being exposed to pron? Pron addiction is no joke - it ruins relationships, ruins addicts, and quite frankly, the pron industry ruins the stars too.

@gantzuka Porn addiction has increased over the past 20 years because of easy access online, and with less parents monitoring what their children do online, more children are watching porn. Combine that with the industry losing money because so much of their work has been devalued due to so much free porn, the content has become more niche. It's also why so many women no longer have pubic hair, and so many young men have intimacy issues.

the biggest diference is that in order to see that sexual content you would do it while hidding from parents( when they are at work or sleeping or whatever) wich in it self leaves a much smaller time to consume it, now kids go on twitch and just watch it all the time and it feels normal so they don't even worry about hiding it wich makes it so much worst to normalize this to kids @@gantzuka

The soft core porn on Twitch stirs up curiosity, especially among children and young adults, which pushes them to the adult sites and Only Fans. Don't get it twisted- this is a well orchestrated system to make the adult industry even more money and I'm willing to bet Twitch is primed to get a cut once it starts bearing significant fruit. If you're an adult you have agency. You are responsible for your own actions. But for kids, my advice to parents is find a way to keep them offline or closely monitor what they watch. They are the most vulnerable. Protect them at all cost.

Agreed, the issue that I find is when it comes to platforms like twitch, its when it usually says it is a family friendly website when it's not, and also when it doesn't have any parental control methods. I can understand all types of websites getting flooded with porn ads, and also the responsibility of the parents to monitor the content that their child uses or watches. That's also why it's important to use ad block systems.
But what I don't understand is this idea that the internet is made for children, the internet was never made for children and shouldn't be treated as such. Surely, we can put regulations on these businesses on promoting gambling because it could potentially put someone in debt. But nudity shouldnt be a suprise to anyone allowing their kid to use the internet.
Honestly the best way for twitch to go forward is to stop saying it's a family-friendly site, go back to its original purpose in art and gaming, and then have an adult section for adult gaming, it's obviouse they get some money from the girls so it's probably best to keep them around.

drinking doesn't become good because you're now an adult
      Challenging authority, circumstantial
Kids should physical defend themselves if they have to
Sexual relations; clearly that's not going so well for many adults
Swearing to enhance ideas, that's not a right or wrong
Why is it called "adult content" when it's arguably more appropriate to call it "degenerate content", which is my point.
That's like when videogames take out blood to reduce the rating, but you're still shooting people
Or when there's a "clean" version of a song because they took out all the curses, but cardi b is still gonna ride it just how I like it
I stand on my current statement. There is nothing that you shouldn't do as a kid that now becomes okay to do as an adult.
And imma use the sex example
Kids shouldn't be having sex specifically because they're kids. They shouldn't be having sex because they're not ready. And I hold that stance for adults as well. A lot of adults shouldn't be having sex because they're Still not ready.
Now that I think about it, I'll take another step forward
If it's wrong to do as a kid, it's even more wrong to do as an adult, because the effects are further reaching and the consequences are more severe.
You can fix a kid heading down the wrong path. An adult is significantly more difficult to help

I've seen this similar tactic done on Reddit forums where OF models would post pictures of their cosplays (both SFW and NSFW) with the obvious intention to get people to check out their profiles that has links to their content. In one subreddit I frequent, I brought this up with admins and they understood. But unfortunately they couldn't do anything since the OF models were only posting SFW photos with no links in their posts, thus weren't really breaking any rules even if the intention was to get people to check out their NSWF content - basically a loop hole. However they did say they would keep this in mind since it's more than obvious what these OF models were doing and it's supposed to be a family friendly subreddit.
And of course..... I did have some people label me a misogynist and discriminating sex workers..... The times we live in.

I find it distasteful that Twitch allows sexworkers to use the site as a funnel to offsite porn webpages, like onlyfans etc. Espessially since there are underage twitch users who are exposed to it. If twitch had a discreet 18+ section, that you cannot see without logging in with credit card details etc, it would be totally fine. But having those thumbnails that look like you're on pornhub be in your recommended is a bit stupid.

As with most things people only care when it's too late. At one point it was cool to smoke cigs until after 30, 40 years everybody started popping up with lung cancer and heart disease. Pron addiction is the one of the only addictions to where people prey on and take advantage of and nobody calls it out mainly because it's women doing it to grown men. There are PSAs for most addictions EXCEPT pron and if you do speak against it you're either called anti-secks worker or -mee sog hin hist- . Great example is Twitch and it's creators having a hard stance gambling but actively enabling soft core pron and pronstars funneling off people to their pron sites. The only people you hear really speaking against it are self improvement dudes on YT, religious people and redpill spaces everybody else says it's normal or actively support it. I couldn't even imagine being a teenage boy in a day and age where this content is so readily available literally all the time I remember how I was, it would be like putting a fox in a chicken farm. Every social media app is highly secksualised and it's like it finds you even if you don't search for it.

Such as sculpting, drawing, digital depictions of characters and so on.
Because artists on Twitch were getting banned for simply making suggestive art that weren't even explicit.
Now because people started going nude on stream, because they thought they could get away with it, it's fucked up for ALL the people that the changes were actually intended for.

Being a nerd is simply being more open to discuss deeply and sharing knowledge of subjects beyond the point where it's ''socially acceptable''. Whether you're talking music, films, sports, games, etc... if you're going further in your sharing than the conversation would go, if you're invested beyond the practical knowledge of a subject (when it's not necessary for your career/commitments) or that it's taking for you an interest that overweights the consideration of your entourage's interest, you're more into nerd territory.
A geek has specialty knowledge, but it's usually more in the practical areas, and will more likely call upon it in a conversation if it's required. So I guess you could say people can be both geeks and nerds in different areas.

Calm down mate. According to the US census bureau less than 1% of women in America have been or are currently in the p-industry. We just get bombarded more with ads for it and it's becoming more noticeable because of social media and internet access. The number of women joining hasn't increased and I doubt it will. Most women actually do value themselves enough to not enter that industry. So focused on raising your kids and stop catastrophizing things. It's not " a lot of women". It's a fraction of the female population and yes these are probably very damaged individuals with self hatred. Weather it was their parents who planted the seed of self hate or someone else is irrelevant. Unless your kid gets that damaged you have nothing to worry about.

They are often described as studious, bookish, or socially introverted.

I report those channels but it isn't enough to delete them. These bots even steal identical comments from other commentators.
Then you have child nudity or revealing clothing that is not regulated. You have little children that get exposed without their consent. Sometimes you can tell that channels are run or used as hubs to collect videos or to target specific children, e.g. little girls who do gymnastics alone in their room. Most people don't suspect anything unless the comments become very concise. The thing is that the accounts are only allowed to be created at the age of 13. Many parents don't even know what their children do. I reported some of those channels but again it doesn't help as pedos know how to stay in the legal lines. There are also not many reports on this topic.

i'm just so done with Twitch camgirls. There was a time where those girls just chatted or played video games for the audience and there was a cool interaction. Now it's pushing the TOS to the farest posible and see what happens; Slurping the mic with ASMR, pool and hottubs, and now topless... I'm really done with those camgirls in twitch.

The blurring of lines like this ultimately dilutes what constitutes as SW. There is nothing wrong with consuming consensual Porn but we need clear boundaries around it. Kids should be able to frequent Twitch and Tik Tok without being solicited. The OFs model insists on this type of spam marketing and it's a bad look for the rest of the industry. Just one of a few reasons I decided to retire.

Would it really be hard to split their platform a bit? Have a gaming tab, have a chatting tab, have an irl tab, have an art tab, have an 18+ tab? Lock the adult content behind a credit card wall?

The problem is, we have a society now where people don't have normal healthy in person relationships as much as an online lifestyle. So A lot of people are vulnerable to online traps like this. I understand they're adults physically but a lot of them are socially children.
