The main story may be over, but this series certainly isn't. What are your thoughts on RDR2's extensive epilogue? Thanks so much for watching! I can't wait to see what 2023 will bring for this channel, and I hope to see you there. Happy holidays!
thank you for making those amazing videos. It really is crazy how much things they put into these games. Happy holidays and MerrY Christmas. RDR2 is one of the most detailed and beautiful game ever made and you showed that to us.
I kept getting surprised by a game (hell, a story) having such an extended epilogue. It was a great culmination of all the game's themes, commentary of the point of rapid advancement in the US history as well offering its story's conclusion and thus, just as important as any other part of the narrative imo.
"Houses have been a staple of human existence since at least the Bronze Age, with the first recorded house being documented in 10,000 BC built out of thatch and mud in Northern Egypt."
I would have thought that John used the pseudonym Milton because of Agent Milton. The thing about using “stop” in telegrams is interesting, I always wondered why they were read out
Yeah, there's lots of research and inspiration put into those stranger missions as well. I can picture him delving into "A Bright Bouncing Boy", "The Noblest of Men, and a Woman" and "The Mercies of Knowledge"
I can also see him delving into the “A Fisher of Fish” side mission, the character Jeremy Gill is inspired by Jeremy Wade; both have fish-like last names, they’re known just for catching fish around the world. Wade also investigates the disappearances of fisherman, and Gill meets his demise by being pulled down by a big fish.
@@NyanarchyyI believe it'll be the 1930s. I need to listen to his dialogue again, and rewatch his mannerisms. I'm not the channel owner, but I'll see what I can scare up in the way of research while we wait for his side missions part 2. EDIT: I've done a little looking, and a lot of the vernacular he uses ("jazzed", "on the hooch", "on the level", "thingummy") came into being in the 1800s, but they all seem to spike around the mid 1920s. Sweater vests also seemed fairly popular beginning in the 1910s into the 1930s.
The Epilogue theme is so special to me. RDR2 is by far the best game I've ever played and the first time I have played it I was in an especially dark place. The whole cowboy wild west thing was so great to see - kinda helped me to escape all the bad stuff that was going on. And that particular music theme... It just captures the vibe so perfectly (kinda nostalgic, kinda sad, kinda serene, quiet) Great vid btw!
It's always a treat whenever another entry of this fantastic series drops. Your research is incredible, how do you go about it? Love your videos. I think it’s great that these videos teach the younger generations about American history etc.
I am starting to like seeing history more often about the Wild West because of this game even when I first played red dead redemption 1 , There’s just something about playing rdr2 that makes me wonder what the old west was like , awesome video
Merry Christmas everyone!
Uncle: "Bullcrap."
Real Pixels: "Write that down, write that down!!"
17:58 Dat echo.
Maybe I just missed it, but did this video cover how John opened a 1873 Colt army revolver like a modern side flip open S&W style revolver. In the cutscene when John takes the revolver out from under the bed?
Hell yea I'm so glad there's gonna be one more!! Do you have any intention of covering the first game?
I travel through strawberry a couple times a year when I go backpacking in the Emigrant Wilderness. It's a beautiful town and when I first played RDR2 I immediately knew what it was based off of lol
One of these videos is the best christmas present!
