I agree it loses some drama but the smoothness of the electric powertrain is undeniable. No B58 variant can deliver the same kind of punch AND smoothness. And there's a lot to be said about this no-drama aspect of owning an electric BMW. The stability of BMW OS8, for example. I drove a Taycan for a few days and it was plague with so many software glitches is killed the entire experience.
Great review! I've had mine (in tanzanite blue) for a month and absolutely love it. The overall package is incredibly refined but the range of personalities on offer here are wide and you can tailor your experience easily. A monster in sport mode - even more so with boost. Outstanding interior, phenomenal B&O sound system, and peerless user interface. I traded an Audi RS Q8, a 590 horsepower V8 with 590 lb/ft of torque - a great vehicle, for sure, but I've seen the future. I far prefer the i5 M60.
