2025 Mini Countryman Review - Is Getting Bigger Better?
The 2025 Mini Countryman is brand new. As before, it's based on the BMW front-wheel drive platform that underpins the BMW X1 and X2. There's nothing wrong with this but I do have to admit this new generation is less Mini than ever before. It's bigger than ever with more space inside for people and their stuff.

The MDX isn't new and neither is the Type-S for 2025 there's been a few changes on the outside but most importantly is now it features a touchscreen! Honestly, for most the previous interface wasn't the worst. It's something that most can get used to over time but the touchscreen is easier overall. jmakmedia.com Revscene Forum: bit.ly/3d8YxBK jmakmedia: bit.ly/3ccqAiJ Instagram (Revscene): bit....

Real AMG, fake AMG-does it really matter? Maybe not for you and me, but for some, it's a huge point. Pull up with this at the next car and coffee, and people will chuckle at the 4-cylinder engine, but just wait. Pop that hood and show off the AMG badge of honor, as this motor is signed, unlike the previous AMG43 models. jmakmedia.com Revscene Forum: bit.ly/3d8YxBK jmakmedia: bit.ly/3ccqAiJ Inst...

2024 BMW X2 - Coupe? Sedan? SUV? Higer Priced X1? Yes.
Since 2019 mazdas are the most beautiful mass produced cars in my opinion. Here in Europe we only have 140 hp but it is more than enough.
In general you're not really objective regarding "Reliability". Have you ever owned an "M" series car ? Subframe cracks, Rod Bearing Failures....ooffaa, I could go on forever. In addition, at 4:30 you need to correct the comment "faux carbon fiber". It is NOT FAUX, it is "Open Pore" Carbon Fiber not covered by a clear lacquer. Peace out dawg
Acura MDX retains its old body style with minor updates. Outdated.
I’ve bought the exact same colour but B3 in UK. 2023 2.0 litre petrol (gas!) mild hybrid. Front wheel drive. Agree with your assessment, it’s for getting from A to B safely, in comfort and within the speed limits. 😂 Not as economical as the 8 year old Diesel Jaguar I traded, but not bad at roughly 40 miles per gallon. Good review Jimmy thanks.
Thank you, but no thank you: I’ll stick to a V6 😉
l like that color. Sixty to 4.5 seconds is good for the $
Mazda recalled all the CX70 2024
I actually like the new facelift but all the screens that MB puts in their cars nowadays are such a turn off. What happened to simple gauge clusters and a medium sized screen in your dash? 😞
Raptor R is competitor of TRX, I disagree 802A and 801A Raptors are not comparable to TRX due to V6
People, quit being so critical of the first edition, let them get the bugs on the table and resolved, if you don't like it that's fine too, but nobody is a born Sterling Moss behind the stick, Turbo engines need heavy flywheels for the inertia, a buddy put a light flywheel in an all-trac and had to go back to the heavy. I bet the revs hang because of emission control if you don't like it just wait, someone will soon have a fix.
Hello I have a newborn coming, I have a class a, do you think I should sell it and take another one (more adapted)? Thank you for your video
It's almost 2025, and the 'there's nothing new here comment' , no problem. Classic.
Love my 2010 2.0 manual touring sedan. It's got 140,000 miles on it with almost no problems. It's super agile and fun in traffic. Even though it's only got 148 hp there's always traffic and red lights up ahead so extra power would mostly be frustrating. The blind spot on this new hatchback is a deal breaker for me since it would diminish visibility enough to compromise my confidence in making quick lane changes - so much less fun. Mazda should go back to making manual zoom zoom sedans.
oooooooh cup holders..... why don't you make it higher so it doesn't feel like an SUV?
Nice van except it is not as tall as it used to be so it feels more cramped inside. The interior/seating is not as luxurious as the Alphard or Vellfire sold overseas. Why can't Toyota just make a 6 cylinder AWD van , as tall as the Alphard and Vellfire, but as wide and long as the Sienna? You can certainly power that with a 6 cylinder.
Thank you for advocating rear facing till they outgrow it. Rear facing is safest for kids! I didn't see a video like this for a 4runner. Do you the 4runner has the same space when putting 2 or carseats accross? Or the 4runner is close to the Highlander? Thank you so much. 🙏🏻
I don't have one for the 4runner yet, I haven't been in one in a while as I was eager to wait for the newer generation. I will get it booked soon and it should come early in the new year. That said, since it's the same platform as the land cruiser I would think they would share the same space.
Hello Jimmy, I would like to thank your for creating these family series. I couldn't find any other video that answered my question besides this. I am debating getting this or the 4runner. There will be 2 rear facing car seats, the other car seat will possibly be forward facing in a year. With this current set up in mind, which one do you think is a better fit for our family? Can a 4runner take 3 seats in a row just like this? Thank you so much for your helpful videos. Keep making awesome videos and help families around the world. Soon to be a family of 4 from Canada.❤
Thank you so much for your comments and congratulations! I believe the 4runner is just a bit tight to get three car seats across. Since the new 4runner shares it's platform with the land cruiiser and that wasn't able to fit three across I don't think it'll work. The Highlander or Grand highlander would be a better bet.
Not to be critical, but drove one today and though there is rev hang, no way was it difficult to drive…only criticisms would be the rev hang and long throw shifting; however, it’s not a sports car and is a good engaging experience. Do not anticipate a programing solution since it is by design to efficiently burn for cleaner emissions. Even with those shortcomings I’m certain this will be my next ride in an “Off Road flavor”.
this is a waste of time, nothing said about the engine!
You lose visibility.
with rear seats folded and middle row removed is the area mostly flat? i want overnight sleeping bag options so a hump maybe a no go.
Give me a non hybrid model with a bigger fuel tank and I’ll consider it. Hybrid is useless where I live, in a winter climate, the weight penalty of the batteries hurts MPG more than the regen advantage, batteries suck in extreme cold.
I love my Lexus. Best far I ever owned.
MDX needs major exterior refresh and lower price point to be competitive in this segment.
Big time!
I love Mazda because they are consistent. They have never been the best and definitely not the worst brand, but they always have made good cars and I love that they are starting to gain more traction with the public.
How do you get your kids in there?
For most multi-toddler households they climb in from one side or the other till they get into their spot. Then the parent/care-taker would buckle them in to ensure they’re safe and secure.
It's not better, the big drawback is no Spare tire, I feel like every vehicle should have a spare tire.
The refresh wont look as good as this. They've hit a pinnacle in exterior aesthetic and I think Mazda knows it, which is why its kept the same design for 6 years now. Its a thing of beauty.
It does have a real frame that’s one thing going for it. Not sure about the rest.
Worse 4runner and abandoning the prestige of the land cruiser name. This should be called the fj 2 or something.
Thanks for this honest and sincere test of the manual 3 hatchback. I was on the fence for the longest time regarding manual vs AWD/Turbo, but this road test - and others like it - have convinced me that, for me, the manual is the way to go. Now if I can just locate one!
No need to build the platform, they already sell different versions. Bambeds to name one company that already does it.
Great video and first glance at the new Cooper S. I’ve just ordered mine. In Australia we’re lucky enough to get the S in the JCW spec so that’s what I’m getting. My first Mini so I’m very excited. When I took one for a test drive I was sold, so much fun and character. Thanks
Own a 2024 white is500 with same rims. Amazing car. May not be the outright fastest car but it full of character and you feel like you are driving the car rather the other way around. Really enjoying it.
overpriced lump with a wheezing 4 banger
The only issue is. IT'S A 50K MINIVAN FOR ENTRY LEVEL.... ITS HARDER TO FIND A SIENNA THAN A CORVETTE NOW 😂. There's literally no sienna on the ground and if it is best believe there's a markup
I bought a 2022 CX-3 GS a month ago and I love it. A fantastic change after 12 years of driving a Wrangler! Smooth ride, everything works, the styling is gorgeous inside and out, perfect size for my wife and I. Plus it was made in Japan so you know the standard of assembly is top-notch. Yes, the cargo area is small but so what, you know that before you buy. Awesome little vehicle, I'm a Mazda convert.
Acura trickery. It’s a single turbo. They advertise twin scroll to fool people. It’s mid, overpriced and isn’t selling at all. type slow is just that
so much for you being an expert... Kids only need to be in the rear facing seat, until they outgrow it. Then they would go into the FORWARD facing position (year the seat you mounted backwards and gave zero foot room for the kid. Go back to expert school. Google is free bruh.
@@boomer7638 You’re right! It’s best to use the seat until they outgrow it. The Clek Fllo is designed for rear facing up to 43” and 50lbs.
@JimmyMak I'm a realist. NOBODY is going to have a 35lb kid sitting rear facing in that f'n carseat. 🤡🤡 It can ALSO face forward (which makes way more sense) when the kid is 22-65 pounds. But hey you're the one giving the kid zero foot room lmfao. It's seriously just stupid.
lmfao dude. that is a FORWARD facing car seat (the second one). Facing it rear ward there's literally no room for the kids legs.... delete this video. that's dumb.
@@boomer7638 thanks for your comment, please check out the manufacturer website. www.clekinc.com it’s a convertible child seat that can be installed both rear and forward facing. There certainly is room for a child, my child sits in this fashion and there’s plenty of space for him.
Ok boomer
It’s the same engine with the “original” amg my friend..!!😂
it would nice if you could lay down the back sets behind the drivers/passenger seat like you can the far back seats. And it would be nice to have one paid off.
yea i know, odyssey reviews say lower 3 rd row, take out 2nd row for a huge area that mostly flat. looking to see if toy offers same capability.

6000 lb towing for me and Ive had a Pilot since 2016. The engine on the pilot took a crap at 142k. Ive owned it since new and did all maintenance at Honda dealer. My first and last Honda.
Not sure why people were hating. This was a really nice, simple review
506 Range?
I know it's tough to "review" the predicted reliability. But does anyone even trust a naturally aspirated Kia or Hyundai? I've heard horror stories of not honoring their 10 year warranty. So it may seem like a bargain until it dies prematurely.
Is it better than the Volvo XC40?
@@Nom_AnorVSJedi the two are quite different, the xc40 is a lot smaller than the MDX. The MDX would be closer to the XC90.
