IMO the reason it feels so nice to revisit places with memories like you have for Big Sur is that you still feel the awe and wonder while knowing that leaving doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll never return.

this video was so beyond beautiful! i shed a tear (or two) because it was so pure and raw ... i felt like i was in the middle of a dream. i am so happy for you that you experienced our wonderful earth and that you are able to live life to its fullest. also this video reminded me that nothing is impossible and that i can do things like that to. this video made me remember what life is about and what i want in life. as someone who is never sure what he wants and only knows what he doesnt want this is a huge thing for me. i want to collect memories, take pictures in my head so i never lose them, i want to experience as much as i can and i want to live a dream. i am able to do things and i will do them. no excuses for me this time. to be honest i kinda got off track the last few months but i am on and focused and excited and willing to do everything that is required to be happy and to explore life. thank you for reminding me with your video. i hope you know that you just helped me to be happy after a life without real and pure happiness. you encouraged me to be myself and you send me on my way and i cant thank you enough for that. you created a life-loving girl with dreams bigger than ever who is willing to fulfill every single on of them. you helped me to be happy

My partner and I broke up last week, but we had already planned to go camping with the dog so we went anyway. We camped and did a 7 mile hike to a waterfall It really brought us back to a better place.
I'm absolutely not saying that this will work in every or even most relationships, but it was such a good way to get us out of our bickering, nit-picking quarantine personalities and make us see the versions of eachother that are fun and adventurous. It was also awesone to have no phone service and just have conversations and sing and be silly.

My friend recommended me this video because she knows I was once living in Northern California, in Humboldt County to be exact. I lived there in 2017-2018 during my exchange year. Now that I'm back in my home country, I really miss the feeling of being in Northern California. One of the best places God has created definitely. Your videos healed up a little bit my cravings of that part of the world.

if you love this kind of road trip you should 100% do an australia trip especially the snowy mountains and the great ocean road. maybe even go west coast to east coast, i've done it twice and the amount of wildlife and rugged landscape u see is insane! obviously post corona but this video is giving me big nostalgia vibes :)
I’m in all my feels right now.... seeing you drive through Santa Barbara (where I went to college - UCSB!!!), then through the SF Bay Area (I was born and raised in Oakland) and then Mendocino (one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to here in California!). I’m back sheltering in place here in California, after having moved to NYC right before the pandemic hit & this is making me see my home state with such newfound love! This video did NOT disappoint, Elena!
Best video yet I have seen about Shelter Cove. I wish you may have shown some of the local features it has, such as the brewery, the restaurants, the cove itself, and some of the history. But - best video yet because of your response to Shelter Cove. That's how we feel every time we go. There have been a few times when our family's house/property might go up for sale. Everyone in the family fought to keep the property. If you want to go somewhere magical where the stress of the world simply falls away, Shelter Cove is the place. As a California native myself (currently in Boston), thank you so much for this beautiful video and sharing your journey! After just coming back to the East Coast after being in quarantine in CA, I can truly say that this year helped me see my state with new eyes...you captured this theme so wonderfully in this documentation!

i moved to san francisco 2 years ago but due to covid came to stay with my parents in new york... this video makes me miss california so much! it's absolutely beautiful and there is so much more expansive nature than the tristate area can offer. maybe i should return to california soon haha. love the video! :)

Loved this presentation. It brought back fantastic memories of my 28 years living in an oceanfront home in Sonoma County and another ten years oceanfront in Cambria by the sea. Every trip up and down this coast is very special. Each one is very different depending on mother nature glorious surprises.

I almost didn't watch bc I didn't want to feel jealous while I'm stuck inside but instead I just feel happy and hopeful. this was absolutely beautifully edited, the drone shots were stunning!! is nobody gonna talk about the drone?? the vibes are everything. I live in BC and haven't had the chance to see my own coastlines but after I do then northern california is next on the list (probably years from now) glad you two had a good safe trip! come see BC sometime when we aren't in a pandemic!

Lost Coast is my favorite place to get away! So quiet and beautiful, and the town is so cute. No service forces you away from technology. Truly a beautiful place.

Love this!! I hiked the Lost Coast earlier this summer and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. We would go hours without seeing other backpackers and it made it feel like we had the coastline all to ourselves- magical.
