Probably the best California guide on TH-cam that I've come across, so far. Thanks for making this!
My son lives in North Bay near San Rafael, CA. We were in San Diego for Christmas and New Year, I commented on the weather while at Safari Zoo Park. His response was, “Dad, that’s why I pay to live in California”. It’s an incredibly gorgeous state and I never get tired of visiting.

As a SoCal native, I think you are right on point, all of these locations are where I would recommend as well.
I love that you travel with your Mum, that's cute.
Love this! So much of CA is focused on the south. I’m originally from San Diego but grew up in Tuolumne county (Yosemite area) and the mountains deserve the love as well!
I am planning a 2-weeks trip to California, and I currently live in Italy. I am trying to gather as much info as I can and this video was very helpful.
If you or your followers have any more tips for international tourists with a different cultural background like myself, I would be really glad to hear them.
It depends what city you are
Coming to California is huge so I’m sure two weeks ain’t enough to explore all
The big city’s
If you coming to LA you can easily do a lot of things in LA alone
I was just in California in June, do yourself a favor and avoid Los Angeles, Venice beach and Santa Monica, it’s disgusting filled with homeless and drug addicts. Start in Santa Barbara and head north into redwood forest & Yosemite . This state is not what it used to be
There's not too many places you've been that I haven't been, as I was also born and raised in SoCal -- Long Beach, Newport Beach, Elsinore, San Diego, Mammoth Lakes -- and so I've had lots of opportunities to travel to all of these wonderful areas of CA. I love my native state, I just don't like what politics has done to it; and retirees on a fixed income like me don't stand a chance down there, and it's a shame, because I miss it terribly. I make a point of driving through the eastern Sierra Nevada and Mojave Desert every time I go down there now because of the memories it invokes, and because I'm naturally drawn to both the rugged alpine scenery and climate AND the desert, where you can see forever in the driest, cleanest air anywhere.
Since you grew up in Newport Beach I'm sure you grew up with Huell Howser and all the shows he recorded for CA Public Television visiting every square inch of CA; anyone wanting an even more intimate look at CA and its diverse geography, geology, climate, history, and demographics, you should visit the Huell Howser Archives at Chapman University, which is available online.
And don't forget the amazing "Jalama Beach" at the West Cost Highway - it is lonely Spot - very remote and very beautiful. I will be in Joshua Tree NP this September and I didn't know that the Anza Borrego SP is that beautiful and will visit this spot. thx
This is a great short vid and just full of some priceless information.
Super informative best I seen so far thank you. I’m planning a family trip for Cali soon
I enjoyed except when it said Northern California, I didn't think you talk about LA, and San Diego, and other Southern Ca places. I lived in San Diego for 4yrs. and I loved it. I moved to Northern Coastal Ca, Mendocino county, in FT. Bragg. I was so Beautiful, especially the beaches Sequoia trees, San Francisco, and The Giant Redwood Forest. Sn Francisco as only a 3 hr. I loved San Francisco, the Victorian architecture, the public transportation, the various neighborhoods (one LGBT) and restaurants. Golden Gate park is big and so much to do. I haven't been back since 2008. I'm due for a trip. Thanks!
thank you for the beautiful suggestions 🤍
My pleasure 😊
The thing in South Lake Tahoe I will absolutely go for (when I can) is the gondola at Heavenly Mountain, especially as a season pass holder for that ski resort.
I’m so so glad I’ve come across your video as I really really want to visit California. Coming from the uk and having a max of two weeks to visit I think possibly we’d have to start south and hope to be able to come back to do north. I’ve never visited the 🇺🇸 and it’s an absolute dream. I couldn’t come to the 🇺🇸 for the first time and not pay the main mouse a visit so I think south would be first on our agenda. The stargazing looked absolutely incredible ❤
now THIS is what i was looking for, thank you!!!
Thank you! Such a condensed and informative list without lots of raah raah and unnecessary things :)
Love your videos and your personality. Very authentic person. I’m old n usually don’t watch young bloggers, except for you, which is saying a lot! Love your vibe n energy..❤️🦋
I miss Cali… thanks for this.
Thanks for all informations about california. One time, i wanna visit it. 🤩
Thank for sharing a great travel destination friend ❤️😱

Thank you so much!
I only have one week in the summer. I really want to go CA, this trip has been in my bucket list since I was a kid in my country Cuba. Im not sure if one week will be enough to at least go to SF and LA
so nice and just 9 minutes! you worth more than 60k subs and 90k views. keep going!
We were lucky enough to see some massive redwoods: th-cam.com/video/2zivuh4D1Lw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y6b42V6PvxFEj90K
I want to see all the National Parks in a week!
California has 7! No way
God bless you and your family
You packed so much into this and made it all flow well 🤙
Thank you so much!
Wow thanks for sharing 🇺🇸❤️
Fonts Point 🙌 awesome video
California is a paradise!
Thank you for sharing 🥾🥾
Nice video 👍😁😁😁
Hi @bemytravelmuse! Thanks for the video. Do you think this trip is also possible beginning of January? I'm afraid of road blocks due to icey temperatures in the national parks.
It’s totally dependent on the snowpack for the year, but if you’re flexible then you can always make alternate plans
Hey!! Muse I really really enjoyed watching your California vlog so so much you inspired me so so much and I wish you reach 60K Subscribers very very soon!😭✨💕
Great video
You done good! Thank you! 😊
two thumbs up.
Very Cool
@bemytravelmuse, thank you for this video. My daughter and I are planning a 2 week trip to Cali in June of this year. Your video outlined almost all the places we have planned which makes me feel confident we have picked some of the best places. Our last stop is Lake Tahoe, could you recommend a good place to stay there for the best kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking?
The lake is huge and every part of it offers all of that, so I’d pick based on what’s convenient to your route
@@Bemytravelmuse Okay, thank you!!
Fonts point I used a regular suv sevral times
Hi, do you think the beginning of November is a good time to visit California ?
Born and raised californian here! Great selection! But All this in two weeks?! Lol! Although I would say if you are recommending the Alabama Hills/ death valley, I would head up the Eastern Sierra past Mammoth and into Yosemite that way! Then you can head towards sf and down the coast back to LA. I feel like that’s a great loop for people flying in/ out of lax! Thanks for the video!
It's a packed itinerary for sure! That's a great suggestion.
I like your video. You do a good job describing all of the places, but give me some changes in your tone in your voice. Maybe a pause to look at the scenery and just play some music.
Do you think it's likely that I'll be asked to show proof of onward travel when I enter Thailand from the UK? I only want to buy a one way flight but I've been told that this is risky...
Yes I do. Photoshop is your friend.
Tenderloin in SF is absolutely not a place I would recommend for anything to visitors.
What are you saying it’s a beautiful place to visit
No, it's not
As a lifelong California, I'd never add Disneyland (or any other theme park for that matter) in a top 10. Especially considering the cost these days. Waste of money. Also the mosaic tiled staircase you showed in SF is not even close to the Fillmore District, fyi.
Where is that exact location that you were star gazing at???
Joshua Tree is a good place for star gazing.
@@BeanCruisers Amen, thanks. We just relocated to California and that’s definitely on my bucket list to do.
Nice
I live in Germany and am writing an exam about this video tomorrow🥺
Wow really?
Good luck on the exam.
@@Bemytravelmuse yes
@@Bemytravelmuse Maybe I'll get it again tomorrow I'm so excited

Jesus saith unto him , I am the way , the truth , and the life : no man cometh unto the Father but by me .
Sorry if I have given you trouble .
Who are the worse looking people in the country? 😂
Disneyland is NOT worth it! Crowded and overpriced
Honestly you're very biased when it comes to Southern California. If you were not raised in Northern California you wouldn't be qualified to judge the area period. I was born in central California and you said that don't bother with the area. I think that's extremely RUDE... Plus you didn't put Sacramento CA in this blog..
This is such a biased checklist. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of people are leaving California because of how trashy full of homeless and terrible the whole state is I think skip everything just head to the mountains and the national parks...….
It’s an itinerary for those wishing to visit California. Houseless people are human beings. You’re not obliged to visit!
Is that what we did? th-cam.com/video/2zivuh4D1Lw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y6b42V6PvxFEj90K
What an awesome video, i know you travelled a lot, but in this content it really shows 🏞️🌅 and it's just in your area. Can't wait for more 💫
Thank you so much!
