@@camofpv yeah. I own all the moment lenses. I won’t buy iPhone lenses ever again. You can invest in a Sony a6500 and lens and have an actual system to expand on.
This is about the 6th iphone 15 pro lens video I've watched and you are the ONLY person to explain which lens you want to actually be shooting on, why you should be shooting on it, and why you would want these lenses other than the built in lenses. Great video. Outstanding production too. so crispy!
Thought you might want to know the 16pro and 16pro max will have the 48mp sensor on both the wide and main lenses. When the 17pro series comes out next year all three lenses will have the 48mp sensor.
Great results with the wide and tele. I could see bringing one or two while travelling to get a couple of nice shots when they present themselves, using the phone for the rest, and leaving the main camera at home.
I suppose this is more for mobile videography, not for photography. Lack of viewfinder and rotating screen, make IPhone hard to use for photography. However, for news style storytelling IPhone with such lenses becomes awesome tool. So there is definitely market for such tools.
This video was brilliant. Thank you for all your hard work. I have watched so many videos about lenses and you have displayed them beautifully. I will be purchasing from your link.
Superb video Mark, as always.... Just wish that I had seen this before purchasing the Wide Angle lens, plus Polariser + case, earlier today to get the 15% off. Oh well, that's life 😁
Just get a small compact camera like an rx100 vii or even a small m43 body with a couple of small zooms. the '48mp' of the iPhone is behind a lens that can't resolve any more than 12mp at best (this has been proven). no matter what you put in front of that lens your max resolution will be around 10mp. The full set of lenses will cost the same as the RX100 and won't cover any of the FL in between them and again, at best resolve 10 or so mpixels, the RX will give you true 20mpx at every single length in a smaller form factor, larger sensor, more ergonomic body, proper EVF, less stuffing about having to change lenses and of course less stuff to carry, just the camera. Yeah, I know someone is going to say 'but the point is to get your phone to do it since it already has a camera and it's always with me' true, but when you need to carry extra stuff to make it work this way you might as well just carry the proper camera along.
The 48-megapixel photos are bulky and lack great detail. Because of the cameras, I was thinking of skipping this generation, but these lenses have changed my mind.
Oh boy.....this is what it looks like when a bigger influencer like yourself influences a little guy like me. Excellent examples and review. I may have to check this out for my iPhone 15 pro.
Just one question for the lens adapter: Is it versatile enough to use the new iPhone Series if there is an iPhone 16-18 etc? Coz these lenses are not for DSLR camera or mirrorless camera, coz most of people are change 2 year 1 times for the Phone and not sure this is a good investment for a Lens to use in iPhone 15?
Really, thank you for sharing this. I do like almost everything. But macro... Not at all. Yes, it's better than the basic option, but I don't see any depth and clarity. FishEye, is good enough, but not excellent, still would use it. Could you please share pictures from the video?
I use the long range one with focus stacking and I’m amazed for my Gaussian splat project, but I don’t have any comparaison point since I’m a beginner in macro.
What is your camera setting, lighting setup and color grading/lut you used for this video? Really interested to know, as it looks sharp and nicely colored.
Hi from Italy, I was wondering if it's possible to screw in a Sandmark lens on a Reeflex case, as both have 17mm treads they should fit each other on the same thread. You may asking why, I have an iPhone 11 Pro and I have now Moment system, but my phone rugged case it's not available anymore (too old phone), so I would like to buy a Reeflex case for my iPhone and fit a Sandmark lens, I find too big lenses from Reeflex and Sandmark doesn't make case for 11 Pro, even Reeflex lenses are better quality I don't really care, because I take photos and videos as personal memories. Thanks
If you only have a normal iPhone 15, is there any point in the telephoto lens? Also with the iPhone not allowing manual shutter speed selections, the neutral density filters surely means the image will go down to the 12mp file size rather than 48mp?
I can't seem to find any information about which iphones these lenses will work with. You only talk about the iphone 15 pro, so is this the only one they work with? Even their website (following your link) says nothing about iphone model compatability. Seems a bit of an oversight!
When you click on the lens to buy it and go to the "Box and Compatibility" tab it says: "Compatible with any iPhone using the respective G-Series case". Hope this helps.
I need a recommendation. What 2 lens would you buy to start out with. I just went on vacation and brought my sony aos and it was just too bulky and my phone camera photos were worth not using my sony.
For that price, just get and old full frame camera and a used lens from eBay, you get to shoot pro, and spend less money, these companies list their minds already 😅, like who’s buying that? For real?
I always wonder who such products are intended for and whether there really is a market for them. I mean, people who want to take snapshots use their smartphone for this, but would never spend money on such lenses. People who want to take photography seriously buy a proper camera with lenses. Which people want this weird in-between solution?
It’s for us ~ people who never learned traditional videography, never used a camera ~ blew up when we became iPhone artists, and now we’re resisting learning about real cameras.

The leather case is great, I’d go for it, but what if you just want the ND / Polarizing filters without the lenses?
You can get an adaptor ring set that includes one that will screw into the 17mm thread on the leather case. See @8:45 on the video.
