Another video from Aleesa and I trying to explore Nepalese cuisine. In this episode, we ventured out to Bhaktapur, is a city in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal about 8 miles from the capital city, Kathmandu. We tried local snacks and eateries, while also exploring Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

    ABOUT ME
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello there! If you make it this far, welcome!
I am Syifa, an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. I enjoy budget traveling by staying with locals, motorbike riding but also like to explore local food.
After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue long-term traveling. As naive as I was, it only lasted me for 5 months throughout Asia. In January 2017 I moved to China for an English teaching job, which was considered to be my first living abroad experience. Stayed until May 2018, living in China has changed me, in a good way.
I love traveling and creating travel videos on TH-cam. It is such a rewarding work for me that I do wish this would last me for a while.

A guy in the previous video said you look Newari, and in this video as well said you look Newari. A lot of ppl in Nepal look different based on their cast/tribe your belong to. Newar is the old group of ppl resident of Kathmandu, they’re basically combination of Indian and Chinese, and u seem to fit in the Newari tribe. You have a similar features to their features. You either seem to fit in Newari, thakur, gurung or magar. Lots of love.

Issac Galileo if u know the history, Newars are basically a combination of Tibetans and Indians because back In days, Kathmandu used to be trading line between India and Tibet (China). And if u look at newar people they have combination of Indian and Tibetan culture and their own unique culture as well. That’s y I said newar people look cross between Indian looking people and Chinese looking people. I hope I made it clear.

    • @Mane-is8wg

Some idiots add sugar in halwa but actual halva used to made in jagerry and clarified butter(ghee)which is made only desi real cow milk.
1.Jagerry is form of fructose sugar with lot of phosphorus.easy to digest which help to stop production of excees mucus or allergies.
Even you can give one bite halwa to 1 hrs baby born.
      100 gram halwa = 300 gram chicken

Bhaktapur is the only historic and ancient world heritage site untouched by urbanization around heritages. The malla architecture looks beautiful although some temples are still hard to rebuild after earthquake destruction. Most of the youths of Nepal are abroad so you only see mostly old people and children back in Nepal.
