I alsonhave an R8 that has the V10 and sounds great, but the MC20 is just as fun with all the turbo noise with the back window down. Also, it feels very fast and you found the sweet spot in 1 review in sport mode w soft dampers. Perfection! I subscribed bc your reviews are always spot on.

Gorgeous car and road, can’t wait to drop the line with friends about,”love this tarmac!” Instead of just saying this is a nice road. I’ll never be in Sicily , nor will I ever be in a Maserati. I've been wanting to see the convertible version of the MC20, and I'm glad to see Maserati doesn't screw up the styling. My goodness, it looks much better than the hardtop coupe.
Also, as a owner of several prior sports cars, the Cielo may be my favorite. Definitely the most beautiful. Inhave an R8 also and love the soind of the V10, but the MC20 with its turbo sounds and back window down is very pleasing as well.

The old Maserati’s always had the best sounding engines I can remember. This one isn’t bad but could be better that said it is properly beautiful. I fear the price will put off many as the Lambo and Ferrari are more emotionally involving. Great review as always Pete.

Great video and can’t wait to take delivery of mine. I love my MC20 Coupe, but I have to drag out my F8 if I want open road motoring, but it’s not comfortable to drive everyday like the MC20. The Cielo will have it all. Unfortunately, probably won’t get one of the 60 launch editions, so sadly won’t be able to get the auquamarina color.
It is a beautiful car and I love the colour. Personally, I have always thought the 'carbon option' is in reality the 'effing expensive' option. And the base radio option to save weight. Paleeeeese. Really.

A classic design with just a few lines, it is elegant and simplified. Many supercars today have too much going on for my taste. This seems subtle, discreet and classy. But oh so beautiful! Like Monica Bellucci 💘 and more than enough power to keep a smile on your face.
IMHO it's more beautiful than a 296 Spider and has more class than a Hurican Spider. And it sounds like an Alfa Romeo Giulia Q (which I have) ... no coincidence ? But there are also things I don't like : the cabin is a bit too simple (it looks like an Alpine 110), they should have nicely integrated the infotainment screen, the price is already steep but the options (like carbon fiber) ... OMG. I wish all the best to Maserati but I'm afraid we will not see that many MC20 Coupés and Cielos.

@ 5:27, I wonder what is causing the paint issue on the rocker just above the carbon side skirt. It's prominent right where the door meets but looks like it goes further down the length. I had some paint irregularities on my Alfa QV that looked similar, in my case on a door handle cap. Interesting and I'm curious if perhaps it has something to do with where they are being painted or the make up of the paint itself; ie. lots of chemicals weren't available during COVID and I had issues getting home interior paint materials much less, the QV I bought was verde montreal and was a real pain to get.
This car is brilliant! Maserati should (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) find a way to point buyers in the direction of a discounted aftermarket exhaust in order to put the icing on the cake.
Nice car, but on those roads does it get you from A to B any quicker or more applomb than Lady P? Mind you that could be said for many modern supercars.
One to add to your lottery list then Peter! Interesting to compare your report with Harry’s of the Ferrari 296 GTB…their new V6 is so good that he prefers it to the V8 engines! While often owning Vauxhalls, I've always preferred Maserati as a car maker. Can't imagine why. Seriously though, that sounds incredible, And I really like the styling. Dang it! After this Astra, I might have to look around for another Cavalier V6, my favourite from the past.
