I love the sea turtle and the last card where you pulled the colors from the marker palate the most!

When you made the background with the leftover color, it looks like that may make an awesome backdrop for a underwater scene. Love the color on the stamps for the birds and the ombre butterflies effects

Yes... that would be a wonderful background! Thanks so much!

I have just started to create cards. Hubby bought me a manual die and embossing machine. Your ideas are super. I now need to look for these pens here in Denmark. Thank you for the ideas Simon

Great replay Simon. I let my niece and nephew do this technique because they love it but I prefer they don’t mash up my “good” markers (they’re 6 & 8) so the Crayolas are perfect for them. They’ve created such lovely cards that people can’t believe they actually made them. And you’re right, these markers are definitely cheap right now. Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re having s fabulous weekend. ~HUGS~

This is exactly what I needed. Some time ago, I was at a store that was clearing out their crayola markers at a very low price. I bought one of each color scheme. Was wondering how they could all be used before drying out. This is perfect. So glad I saw this.

Hi Simon, just discovered your channel. Great to have a man's view in a female dominated hobby! Love your techniques with Crayolas, fab way to involve the kids too.... (I never throw away the backing sheets of address labels as they can be used as a temporary craft mat 😉).

I love your approach to creativity, it's so flexible and down-to-earth. That last background you made (with the bigger brush), I almost wonder if you could do a "lift" technique with a stamp and just a wet paper towel as the "stamp pad." Might be possible to get enough water on the stamp to create a lift image on top of that smooth background...might be a good way to save a background that turned out "muddy." Anyhow, thanks for the idea! I just subscribed, and look forward to seeing what you do next. :)

PS: I got a set of watercolor brushes, including bigger flat brushes, on Amazon for about $9. Here's a link to a bigger set, but you can look around. Took a while to arrive from China, but makes all the difference: www.amazon.com/Piece-Water-Color-Brush-Watercolor/dp/B07DW28LZF/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1546973033&sr=8-6&keywords=water+brushes

Practice makes it easy... and the Bristol cardstock is important to get smooth results. :)

Loved this video. Loved all the images except the turtle and the last background. The turtle image was a bit too dark for me. Not sure if I like the rich colours more than the pastel ones . I really like both.
I also like the fact that you use the cheaper version of marker and show you can still have awesome images.
I loved the two birds and had to laugh a little. The one bird seems to want to kiss the other and the other is like 'Dude, what are you doing?' 😂😂😂
Nice to see you support lesser known companies.
    Thanks for sharing. Awesome job.
