- You can learn hand lettering with Crayola markers! I'm showing you every type of Crayola marker that I have in this video. I hand letter the alphabet and a quote with each pen while giving you a quick pen review so you know whether or not each marker is worth the cost. Although all Crayolas are great prices so it's not like you'd be out that much money, but still. #handlettering #crayola

I use the super tips because I love all the colors they have. I think my set is like 50+ or something.

I had the 20 pack before I could afford brush pens and i still use the supertips because they are so so good
I'm very curious about crayola markers. But crayola markers it's hard to be found in my country. I'm still learning to make lettering art.

This was a good tutorial. Penmanship is an art and it starts there.
Items are dated and I’ve stopped shopping at Hobby Lobby. Joann’s and Michael’s are better at pre close date markdowns.

I got the crayola brush pens and they frayed at the first or second use. They have a lot of ink but a couple of them ran out of ink really quickly
Yes! That’s my experience too! I really wanted to like them but you can’t have brush pens that fray after using them on time!😢

4:05 totally agree. When I first started to hand letter, I thought theses would be a good choice but I later discovered how easily they fray and how squeaky they are. Now that I am much better, I use ones I found at five below. My pentel touch and tombows are still in the mail.
I love the Supertips for my bullet journaling but I need to try the broad tips as well!
Kitty Kreations Ooh yes that makes sense that you want a smaller tip for bullet journaling! Maybe broadline would be good for headings.

My absolute favorite Crayola markers are the classic broadline markers we all used in school... The fact that they come with a good point AND a flat side make them super flexible and perfect for lettering!

I didn’t even know they had this many types! Cool video, not having used any, I would say broad tip look to be my favorite option for regular practice although I may just need to buy the glitter markers first! Those look fun!
Heather Winters Haha yes the glitter markers are really fun! And you might as well get some broadline while you’re at it 😂 Oh, surprisingly, this is not even all that Crayola has! There are a few other kinds that I have yet to try still!

I didn't like the supertips at first even though they came recommended by a lot of people in the lettering community as a good starter marker. Now that I've spent more time working with them though, they are my favorites. Will have to pick up some glitter ones soon though, those will go a lot further than my sakura gel pens!

I've bought the set of 50 colors 'cause of you and I'm improving a lot my lettering and calligraphy in general! Here in my country crayola it's impossible to find, there are others pens that has the same functions, like faber castell, but I need to try crayola and this is because of you of course. I love the regular crayola washable markers because they are easy to use, affordable, and they work on all types of paper without the tips getting frayed!

I think as a beginner, I will try the super tips bc I have found that with the broad tip, I may need to acquire more experience. I tend to be more heavy handed as a beginner so I don’t get enough definition with 5he broad tips. Tyvm for this video, I will try the super tips!

I own the crayola metallic markers and they are very pretty. The pink marker didn't looked like that never. Maybe it was your marker. But they do look even more pretty in black paper.

They sell metallics markers at dollar tree now. White, silver, gold, bronze and blue. They’re pretty good. I bought one of each just to see how they do and for how long.

My very first attempts at brush lettering were with the broad tips! I had kind of forgotten about that because now I use regular brush pens pretty much exclusively! But I still have a place in my heart for the crayolas 💗💗

I really like the broad lines, But I haven’t used the super tips yet. Thankfully I only paid $5 for the Brush tips, they aren’t my favorite.

in my country, brush pens like tombows and all are cheaper than crayola 😳 (in sets of 50 of crayola supertips and a set of 100 of tombows and way more cheaper than crayola supertips)

Crayons markers in general are great for beginner and advanced letterers
I like the supertips because there is actually more colors

I like the broad line ones as well, but your video makes me want to try the supertips again. I LOVED those brush pens when I first got them but am bummed they don’t hold their shape...Some really pretty colors though for people who can find them cheap/with good coupons and know this going into it! Thanks for another great video :)

Is there anyone here who are lefties? I want to try handlettering but when I use markers/pens I always get smudges from my pinky. Any suggestions?
I'm not a lefty, however, I have a friend who is. She was wanting to learn lettering. So I made her some stencils and she was fine because she kept practicing. My advice is to practice, practice, practice

Crayola supertips 50 colors cost about 30€ + shipping in Amazon for Germany. Soooo they are not super cheap.

I like crayola super tips but I also like tombow dual brush pen. which one should I choose?
That’s a tough choice! It depends on what you’re going for! I personally prefer the supertips for the price. But I always have a pack of Tombow Dual Brush pens because they are great and I love the fine tip. They’re a good price if you only buy a 10 pack instead of all the colors. I hope that helps a little!
Which is better? The super tips or the broad one? Im so confused what will i buy?
That’s definitely a personal preference! My favorite is the broadline but I have some friends who prefer the super tips! Super tips have a smaller nib, broadline is larger. Hope that helps!

Where did you get the journal? I can’t find it anywhere in Michaels it’s seems to be a bullet journal but I can’t find it?
I got it on the wall of journals! They have some plain color ones to choose from. The last time I was there was a couple months ago so maybe they changed? Did you see the wall of all different types of journals?

Ew I went to use those metalilic markers after a year all of them were covered in mold...sick! I had to comment when I heard you say that yours too had mold.
Yes! It’s so weird! Turns out it’s just salt build up, not actually mold. But it is still so weird and gross!

Hi Sara! Do you think it's okay to do handlettering with Crayola Supertips and Broadline ON a regular copy paper (e.g. HVS paper)? Will it fray the tip of the markers? Days ago I did handlettering with a brush pen on a regular copy paper and the tip frays like crazy. Please answer :) thank you!
One of the best things about Crayola markers is that they don’t fray so you can use any paper! 👍
