4:53 I am starting to play with stencils and stamps and I was wondering which ink pads to buy. At 4:53 I stopped wondering. 😂 Well, I will buy some of the Distress as well, but I was going to try the Archival - I'll try these Archival later on. You have a blue that was a bit greyish or silvery... I can't find it anymore. I saw it in a video, but I didn't take note of the colour... 😢
Hi Simon, I love your inks & paste! I have purchased all of your colors including your new florescent colors! I watch all your videos as you post them but for some reason I have not tried doing your water reactive technique! What is wrong with me, lol? I love how you used the stencils to make a pattern water reactive technique! I'm am going to try it this week! Thank you so very much for sharing your techniques! Hugs!
Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning that the Art Deco stencil was selling out. It was on my wish list since you released it! Now, it's home and ready to use!
Thank you! There are too many favorite ideas here that will absolutely put off my housework to try today! LOL. I have a massive shopping cart order on SSS that I am waiting to order for my birthday present - including your ink collection! Off to the craft room... ☻
I love the idea with the butterfly! It's beautiful! Are you ok? You sound like you may have had a cold. Hope you are ok. I love my stamping foam. What a cool idea using the drink bottle!
I'm so glad I got to see your demos in person at Creativation in New Orleans. That shirt is fantastic. Ya' just gotta see it in person to really appreciate it!
I love your shirt. I’ve never seen a shirt like that. Sweaters and things like that. But not a shirt. 👍👍👍❤️ to who ever thought of it. A VERY creative person.
Simon, I am a Stampin'Up! demonstrator who held an ink blending class today. One of the products I took was your newer line of Solar Pastes I had recently ordered. ( I ordered all of them). I was briefly able to use one on a piece of embossed black cardstock. Well your pastes stole the show LOL. No one blended a background, no one used a stencil,.... everyone of them played with your Solar Pastes LOL. It was great! Just thought you'd like to know. Thanks Simon!!! ❤ P.S. One lady did a gorgeous mother of pearl effect on white card stock. It shimmered in different hues and was drop dead gorgeous. This was done on white using a 3D flower embossing folder.
When you mixed the Crown Me re-inker with the paste, you created the perfect Lavender color that I think you should recreate in an ink pad to compliment the Crown Me! I've always wanted another lighter purple/lavender color to go with Crown Me, but in an ink pad, not a paste. Please consider adding a few more ink pads to your line! I've been (im)patiently waiting. Would also LOVE LOVE LOVE matching cardstock for your inks!!!! I have all of Gina K's cardstock, & most of SSS and Concord &9th, but I don't always find the perfect CS for your inks, and I think your CS (like my all-time favorite Stark White) would be more than amazing (yes, I did tell Ranger)! Mixing the Crown Me with the Overheated Solar Paste was my favorite tip today. I'm going to try it right now!
I am a revisiting card maker after a 10 year leave. I watched your video and now I am hooked again. I love, love, love everything you make. I bought all of your ink pads, Lunar Paste, Solar Paste and most of your stamps, stencils and die cuts. I cannot wait for the "next" Simon Hurley video. My husband says I have a crush on you. (I could be your grandmother for sure) so that's creepy. I do think you are so adorable. I could not possibly choose which is my favorite. When your neon Lunar Paste came out, I bought the whole set. Have you thought about making more earth tone color stamps? You are so talented please continue making us wonderful videos. I don't understand about "joining" your channel, could you please direct me to more information on how this works? Thank you Simon for all the work you put into your videos, they surpass all others. You are quick, to the point and pack a lot of information into a short amount of time.
The pastes!! Love the texture and how easily, smoothly and consistently they spread. I bought a single jar from number of brands to try out before deciding which brand I wanted to get more of. Some I had to add water as they were so dense and not spreadable. They were horrible. Others you just had to work harder to spread them. I found all of the Simon Hurley texture paste to work like a dream. Easy enough, my grandkids, eight years and up use them on stencils. I have Astro full set, a few solar and lunar. I’ll be getting more of both. I suggest you buy one and give it a try. The product speaksfor themselves. I also like the foam. It extends my product use, especially my embossing folders. I was aware of Simon Hurley’s inks. I think I’m going to try some. They are impressive but also bold which I love. Thanks Simon. 🎉
Awesome demos and techniques!! ❤ I love your inks and pastes Simon. 😊 Thank you for this video and all the beautiful inspiration. Shifting that stencil had an amazing effect! 😃
Glad you had a great time at the 2 shows. I liked how you showed the Deco Diamond stencil and that it could shift! That's a game changer. In the colors you choose it looked like the old Hollywood spotlights at a movie premiere or something you'd see in a print ad during that time.
Love your products, ideas and techniques.. Thank you so much!! I love Lunar paste with your stencils but I will sure try using your background stamps with it. Can't wait to try the your Solar paste too, because it looks so beautiful and fun. Oh I love your technique with stencil and your two colors of ink, I had to buy the ink colors and stencil.. 🥰
Simon! 🙌🏼 I Haven’t Commented in Forever….Life Been Crazy….Anyways, ALL of Your Products and Techniques are 💯 AWESOME and RELIABLE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I Know When You Release a Product it is Quality! (it ALWAYS ends up in My Shopping Cart) Not Once Have I Had Buyers Remorse. 💕✨⭐️Your Teaching Style is Thorough, and Easy to Understand Making for Beautiful Creations! 🖼️ 💕 I Appreciate You! Thank You! 🙏🏼 BTW, Your Shirt is THE BEST! Take Care, and Be Well! 👋🏼👏🏼
I am super excited to learn about your inks. They seem so nice. If Maymay Made promotes them then I know for sure they are great. Congrats on your trip to Germany. Hope it went well. Your shirt is epic. I keep forgetting about embossing powder on my sentiments. I love the look.
I love, love, love the solar paste! Im hoping you come out with a new layered snowflake stencil this winter as i think the solar paste on your white card stock with a snowflake stencil will make a beautiful card front for Winter! Very simple & classy!
The art deco stencil shift technique and the stamp into Solar Paste were my favorites! Day before yesterday, I was talking with a potter friend about you and about your Stamping Foam! He found it very intriguing! Love the granny square shirt!
Too much to comment on! Love your shirt and die-cutting face-it always makes me laugh. New Orleans is a city that should not be missed, and I hope you had some time to explore. The information you shared tonight gave me new ideas. Thank you.
I love how you create your videos and show the creative ways to make such amazing crafts. Thank you for sharing your ideas with the world. All the best!
Thank you so much for this very informative video. So many tips and hints. I'm going to save it as a good reference video. I've watched several videos from folks who went to recent craft shows, most of whom gave it their all and came home exhausted!! Hope your voice is better soon!
Ty so much. I bought foam blocks ages ago recommended from you but forgot what to do with them. Lol And also ty for the blending tips...I also love your sweater shirt!😊
These videos are really testing my ability to control my spending 😂. I LOVE watching you make cards and can’t wait to start collecting your products! ❤ I wish everything wasn’t so expensive tho 😭 by the time I pay for gas and groceries I’m poor again 🤦🏼♀️. One day I’ll have all the Simon Hurley and Tim holtz goodies tho! 😂
I love the solar paste on white. Like you said it just gives a nice textured shiny background so your main component of your card stands out and isn’t swallowed up by the brightness of the paste.
Absolutely OBSESSED with your solar pastes. I really hope you come out with more colors. I use the scarps for die cuts, and it's such a unique look. There really is nothing else on the market quite like it.
Another great video love all your ideas projects and products. You’re the best keep up the good work for us to addicted crafters. We need all the help we can get with your innovation and great ideas. Thanks Simon. You’re the best.
I always learn so much from you. I have the solar pastes and love them, although my technique needs improving. :) I loved the candle cards. Thanks Simon!
Simon, on the one you spread the left over solar paste on the black card…. It looks like a tree (the black portions) like a silhouette. You could drop a swing from the top.
Thank you for the recap of your products. I think every once in a while, all the brand/designers should do too. It makes us aware of the beauty of their products and start using them again, in stead of throwing them away, and not reorder... That would be a shame. Thanks again Simon
I got all of the Solar Paste colors recently. I have used them over yellow ink with the candle flames stencil, smeared onto a rainbow die cut from white cardstock to make a shimmery rainbow bridge sympathy card (a different colors on each stripe), and smeared over a weird shade of pink cardstock to make a different kind of rainbow (made the pink look better as well as getting the color shift). Smearing randomly on black cs then using an embossing folder was fun too. I love how easy they are to apply just with my fingers. I’ll try using them for a textural background and the stamping technique you did with the neons next. Most of the inspo I found was just stenciling on black cs, which is great, but 🤷🏻♀️ surprised that hardly anyone on YT has tried mixing them with inks.
I love your techniques, but, I'm sorry Simon, today the star of the show is that shirt!!!😂😂😂. Is that crochet squares put together? Handmade? It's really beautiful.
I managed to find some of your products available in Spain. It is the nearest place to me, as I can't seem to find them in my country. The ink is superb and the colours are so vibrant. Just waiting for the new batch of lunar pastes in stock now!!! Thank you so much for so many ideas and tips.
Hey friends! Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite technique/product. :)

O.k, so only 20 seconds in and I got distracted by your sweater. 😅 I absolutely love it!! (I will surely comment at the end too. 😃)
Yes, me too. I love the granny squares!
I love spending time with you here. I wish I could have seen you in Germany. Your cards and products are gorgeous.
I love how your inks work I feel that it is and will always be one of my best investments for my craft room 💜💐
I loved the stenciled card. Using the water then a smaller stencil is a great way to get more from your supplies!!
Thank you! There are too many favorite ideas here that will absolutely put off my housework to try today! LOL. I have a massive shopping cart order on SSS that I am waiting to order for my birthday present - including your ink collection! Off to the craft room... ☻
I love that you use basic techniques and create gorgeous cards.
I love the idea with the butterfly! It's beautiful! Are you ok? You sound like you may have had a cold. Hope you are ok. I love my stamping foam. What a cool idea using the drink bottle!
Thanks for thinking of me! I was slightly sick when I got home and filmed the video. I’m better now though. Hugs!! :)
I'm so glad I got to see your demos in person at Creativation in New Orleans. That shirt is fantastic. Ya' just gotta see it in person to really appreciate it!
This is random but your shirt looks really nice on you. By the way fell in love with the solar paste 💜
Thx Simon! I forget to use items in my home with the foam square. I am now looking 👀.
I love them all Thank you for sharing your so easy to watch and I love how simple but beautiful your cards are ❤️❤️❤️
I love your shirt. I’ve never seen a shirt like that. Sweaters and things like that. But not a shirt. 👍👍👍❤️ to who ever thought of it. A VERY creative person.
I really like your stencils and have never thought about shifting them to add layers! I love the look!

Favorite technique, using detailed stencil like Art Deco, as a layering stencil with overlapping blended inks 💙🤩🎉
Glossy stencil side toward sticky mat-- so glad you reminded us- I fear I ruined my stampwheel. I like my Misti better!
Your trips were awesome. Just seeing the country side after the show would be loads of fun. Plus learning so much from a foreign country.

I love what you did with the stencils. I have several stencils that I haven’t used. This gave me ideas for using them.

Hi Simon, I love your ink pads and have all of them plus the reinkers. May I ask when you will be coming out with new colors?? I've been waiting!!
The neon pastes are my fave! Love the card that you made with them!

Amazing ideas Simon. beautiful Cards as always.
Love the last one. Totally unique and beautiful. I've been shying away from the pastes, but you may have convinced me.
Hello thank you for such an awesome video also I really like your shirt it's really rocking 😎 😊
Great afgan print shirt!
I managed to find some of your products available in Spain. It is the nearest place to me, as I can't seem to find them in my country. The ink is superb and the colours are so vibrant. Just waiting for the new batch of lunar pastes in stock now!!! Thank you so much for so many ideas and tips.
Nice Abercrombie Sweater!😉
The layered deco one would be great for the 4th of July. It looks like fireworks.
😱 soooo gorgeous an juicy colours 😍 ❤
Lynn Le Bel I liked the tip to add dye to the solar paste. I would not have tried that on my own.
