It will help me to keep the car for few years as it has only 138K. The cost of repairs by dealers or auto shops will make it impossible to hold on this old car, but channels like your allows me to do so by DIY repairs.
I personally bought the rr racing lca bushing because they have a solid mounted version where that center pin sits on a bearing rather than a bushing itself. It makes for a solid as ride tho 🤷🏾♂️ Clean install like always though.
You make it look so easy. I bought these bushing and I received them today, I was planning on using my impact wrench and other tools. Unfortunately the metal sleeve that i have doesn't go all the way to 82mm. I'm now stuck because I would have to buy the same kit you have to make it work.
@@TunerwithKids Definitely. I found a local shop in LA that will do it for 25 each. I just hope they don't damage the bushings. I had a bad experience before at a different shop, they damaged the bushings and put them in wrong.
I have a 06 is250 awd with 90k miles, my ride quality is horrible and my steering wheel jerks over bumps. None of my shocks are leaking, and I have no play in the suspension. Just passed safety check. Wondering if anyone one has had these issues and what suspension components have been replaced around 100k miles. Great video! Been interested in these for a while
100K miles shouldn't be much on the suspension but after 16 years, some of the bushings may be rotted. Rough ride could also be internal shock leakage too so its no longer dampening.
I had the same issue with my 07 lexus is250 at 86k miles, and I fixed it by replacing the front tires that were unevenly worn from the soft LCA bushings. Quality tires fixed my issue and then I installed Figs 90 durometer bushings to prevent the uneven tire wear. My car now as 111k miles and my front tires have even wear across the tire with zero issues of unpredictable steering.
Great video and a new subscriber. About two months ago my wife bought a 2017 IS300 AWD and I bought a 2018 ES. I’m trying to understand the suspension issues. Does the IS300 have the same bushing issues? Also, help me understand what the issue is with ppl talking about the rear tire wear and rear camber kits. The IS received an alignment at the Lexus dealership right before we bought it. So, any help would be great. Thanks so much.
Front issue is the flex from these stock bushings causes toe out during braking. This causes the inner wear. Wear on these cars isn’t an issue. Most people wear the rear tires evenly across.

My wife drives the car and it’s mainly used for short commutes. I just put new CrossClimate2 (staggered) on hers and the same tires on my ES. We want the tires to last. Hello, from south Florida Hey, I noticed you had a lot of corrosion on your nuts a lot, what would be the best solution to remove corrosion on any of the parts
Surface rust can be sanded or wire wheeled and coated with paint. If it’s really bad, need to remove as much as you can and paint to slow it down. Most S.FL cars shouldn’t have this issue unless it’s from north or lives at the beach.

The GS350 chassis is almost identical to the IS chassis. 95% of my videos also apply to the GS.

This is the only bushing people replace for this arm.

Will the SPF3491-90K fit into the OEM housing of a 3is 2017?

Naw. Check if it’s something else like Shock or control arm bushings?
Good video. Did you torque the nut/bolts while the car wheels were on the ground or while the car is jacked up?
Jacked. It doesn’t matter as these aren’t loaded when tight.

These spin inside anyway. Only OEM static bushings need preload.

Not really but it wouldn’t hurt to make sure toe is good.

Soak in vinegar but it removes any zinc or other protective coatings. Paint after to protect. Or buy new OEM bolts.
