You also should upgrade the bushings on the is anyways because the rubber stick ones make the inside of your tires wear out faster so it saves you money on tires in the long run if you decide to upgrade
Great video helped me decide have had these put away for a year never got around to getting them installed went to 2 different mechanic shops they said I would hate them and it would make the ride super stiff and uncomfortable but I'm thinking if figs have been around for this many years they must be doing something great
Today I spent close to $2k replacing the entire suspension to my IS250 because it was getting old and making atrocious noises. Ouch! But now she’s happy and runs well. Damn instead of buying cool mods I’m keeping up with maintaining the engine and other parts to tip top shape. I need to get to the cool stuff.
I hear you brother! But the comfort and quality of my Lexus is the coolest part about it to me. We can modify just about any car so I admire you for returning your Lexus to premium condition before modifying it. That's sticking true to what Lexus is all about.
@@p-riff my 2008 Lexus IS 250 has 125k miles on it and it for me it was making a very small little knocking noise. So it turned out I needed to change the suspension so I did that. Ride is much better. Much smoother than before.
Another great vid man! I have the RR Racing lower control arm bushings on my IS 350, and combined with the f sport sway bars, the car handles like a beast!!! I know that the Figs are made of the same material, so you’re going to have a blast driving in those Bay Area streets, brother!
I'm looking forward to hearing more about these from you Cristian. I've heard nothing but good things on forums but I'm definitely intrigued to get a visual on how they perform and your reaction.
Good shit bro I’ve been thinking about doing this since i got rims for my car but i just haven’t gotten around to it. After seeing this tho i really need to.
I have my lexus on coilovers and I'm starting to have inner tire wear. I'm getting a camber kit on the fronts and rear. Will you guys also recommend a set of new bushings on the front and rears?
Can bad front bushings cause inner tire wear on my Lexus IS? I’m curious as I’m certain this is happening to my car. If I get some of these maybe it’ll help.
. They are probably not actually bad... just too soft. Stock bushings are soft allowing car to handle well but... causes too much flex under heaving breaking and acceleration to cause the inner tire wear. These bushings will help this and extend the wear over a longer period of time
For your next video do a front bumper upgrade.🙂 unless you like the stock front bumper then that cool too but I just want to see you put a new front bumper on cuz it probably would make your car look more nicer.
I've had the same FIGS LCA Bushings (I bought 90 durometer) for about 2 years and 26k miles on my 2007 IS250 6MT and its been great. Completely stopped my inner tire wear and I got an alignment after I installed the bushings as well just to be sure. Running Bridgestone RE980AS Tires that I bought new alongside the Figs bushings and the tire wear has been extreamly even at 26k miles on them.
Hey, great video thanks. Quick question. Is it possible to do this job with the car wheels on a ramp instead of removing the wheels itself and having it on the jack stands? Just not sure where to safely place jack stands
I have the same inner tire wear issue. Soooo many IS owners report this issue on the front tires. I think these bushings help. I asked this question is A Lexus IS group in Facebook and many people say this will prevent that dreaded inner tire wear that can show up as early as 10-15k miles on new tires.
I got mine for like $230 now they are $200 but I only bought the bushings to pop into the original bracket found a mechanic to pop them in for $200 it adds up 🥲 but if it saves on tires and better handling why not
@@RonDaG0at it goes in the front wheels for front inner tire wear and in the rear I got Megan racing adjustable toe arms I got upper and lower ones for the rear inner tire wear that's where I'd see most of the wear on mind in the rear. Lexus IS models are notorious for eating up the inside of the tire. A big part of this is because the OEM bushings are soft and fluid filled. Under load, especially braking, your wheels will tend to toe out a lot, because of the play in the stock bushings. These new ones will keep the car tracking true when under cornering and load. It also prevents some understeer and "inpredictable" steering feel that the old bushings have.
It’s all about steering stiffness. It’s not going to make the handling stiffer that’s a completely different thing and it’s not the goal of this product
@@BullseyeHTX No man not this guy. Look up RR racing USRS video, they advertise it to improve handling and braking. Because supposedly the OEM rubber is more flexible and the Poly bushings are rigid and better.
@@Magicstockton theyre not lying about that though, the wheels staying put instead of creating outward toe when hard braking or cornering helps the handling as well. But the most common use is to improve the steering feel
If anyone is buying from figs just know there customer service is trash. They don’t send u a tracking number and it’s impossible to contact anyone. Btw they have an option for fedex but why pay extra when it’s going to take months to get your parts. Shame on figs for pretending to be a premium product. Save yourself the time and headache by just going with Rr racing.

What busing would you use? Christian uses FIGS in the video, but not sure what would be best for an IS. I'm reading online RR is good. but nore sure?

Torqued when car was jacked up. Wouldn't be able to fit underneath with how low the car is to torque the bolts
