- So today we learned that sometimes it's worth it to just go out there and buy the right tool for the job. Good news is, I'm sure this bearing/bushing sleeve kit will see plenty more usage in the coming months. Let me know what you thought of this tool!

it's best to use antiseize on the threads to help prevent the threads from damaging from the torque
Usually you want to grease those threads prior to use.
I’ve got the same kit, the thread on the nut was striped. On the first use and the bush did not budge

If I were installing OEM bushings, I would need to use the same remove tool to install the bushings?

Ummm so can this be done with the subframe still mounted ? Not really trying to drop this out

I believe the instructions of many kits like this say to grease the threads.

Yeah for sure grease em up, these still had machining lube on them out the box

For the E39 you're either going to need the special tool, or use the sledge-hammer method with heat. This bushing tool wouldn't work on that bushing due to its design.

What's your opinion on this tool being enough to replace the rear sub-frame bushings? Would it be an adequate substitute for the Koch tool you rented in the prior video?
'02 525iT and wanting to do full power flex bushings under the car as I've already transitioned to poly motor mounts.
Hey I went and made some measurements and this kit won't house a large enough bushing to work for the subframe bushings. The special tool for the subframe bushings is made to fit within the grooves of the bushings made for that tool, so its the only way, besides just heat and hammering. Good luck!
also i wouldnt recommend poly bushings, unless with very high hardness, they usually dont hold up...

Sure, I don't see why not! I've used this on many applications, always seems to be there when I need it.
This tool does not allow to use impact wrench. Very poor quality of the thread.
