I'm a mouth breather and apparently did some unnecessary steps in this video I apologize **It might not be necessary to unbolt the strut and ball joint to perform this upgrade**
Man you should have looked on club Lexus first would have saved a sh#t load of work, you don't have to remove the ball joint or the shock bolt, anyway you got it done cheers from OZ.
Lol man you did take the long route, you basically took apart the whole suspension to replace that #2 bushing. I did this as my first mod years ago and it is a good one!
@@donmakavelio undo all the bolts around the bushing and just pry the LCA down and out away towards the wheel to where you can just pull the bushing off the LCA
Yes sirrr thank god i watched one before i did it i was doing it for a CLIENT but i plugged him so it wasnt payed in cash just ig clout haha but def glad i didnt use this single reference and found the easy video on doing this
good shit bro, just the video i was looking for. Im working on a 2011 is 250 but the lower control arm severely bent from accident. was making sure my disassemble process was correct and it was... yay
Holy shit you did so many extra steps lol. As an actual mechanic, you can just undo the two bolts holding the mount (and a few little things in the way) and the 22mm nut holding it in on the back. Then slightly loosen the front bushing, pry down on the arm, pull out the bushing. Then to press it out, just press it out. With real tools. Seriously, did two pairs of these in a few minutes each unlike your back method. The whole process for me from getting on the rack to having it aligned and back in the customers possession was faster than your whole video.
Question - I have a 2014 GS Fsport RWD and the stud that goes from the control arm into the rear bush broke due to being hit. I was wondering if you can help with a replacement part
Which lower ball joint did you get? I recently had mine replaced and order from RockAuto. I ordered the Proforged ones instead. I'm out of the country right now and can't really tell you how they performed.
Hi I have a IS250 2007 SE in the UK. I want to clear some bumps faster but always have to slow down more unlike a BMW M Sport. Which suspension can I have without making it too hard or overly sporty
This isn't a poor persons way. This is person with access to shop presses and equipment. The average person will have to pay a shop to press them it and that will be almost as much as buying them already pressed in. You also did way too much work in the removal process.

It cracks me up that people think urethane bushings are so great. Yes they offer more precise handling, but at the cost of added vibration and harshness! This is a fact. I have an IS250. Beautiful car that rides like a Lexus should. That said it’s not a race car. Either is a IS350 or even an ISF. If you want one buy a Corvette. As for me I’d rather not ruin the ride that Lexus IS known for. To each their own I suppose....
You buy the lca bushing to correct the inner tire wear (along with a proper alignment). Lol you sound like someone thats never driven an ISF, assuming its not a performance-oriented car. Stay in your lane (the far right one please) thanks.

Where’s your shop?
Thanks for the info. The day I stop learning is the day I die.
Peace.
Wow! Like the new shop!
This is the old shop! 😄
@PoorManMods
💥 Oops. It's been a while. Went through a divorce and going to be doing mi is300 suspension like what you did. So thank you for that
@@blownaway4371 youre welcome! sorry to hear about the divorce :(
will rcf bushing work just as good?
That ball joint is why you should always shop around .
These also fit on a GS and LS as well!
I have been looking for LS600HL bushings. You know for sure they have bushings for them as well?

Just beck arnley
Just buy the RCF LCA bushings. What a bunch of extra steps for no reason; 20min job made into like a couple hours when it's just a bolt-on process

Should buy a Toyota Landcruiser bro 😂
I did this in about 8min lol don’t have to mess with the spindle or knuckle at all
Haha yeah i realize that now LMAO
Poor Man Mods yeah but you inadvertently helped me see how to do the lower ball joints so you are appreciated! Lol
What brand is your press? I was thinking about getting the 20 ton harbor freight press.
Im not sure of the brand
Can you put the part link here please?
Very well video.Bravo bro.Thank you very much👍🤝👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
Will this work on a awd gs 350
i think so
Is this worth the money??
Yes
Driving impression?
I dont drive the car hard enough to notice a difference, i mainly did this for the tire wear improvement
Wait what does this do for the car?
Did you not watch the video. He explained it in the first minute of the video.
Any one got a part number for this?
Enjoy the videos mate ... but the way you say cone makes me laugh.
Lol the way i say cone?
Yea 3:57 not sure why 😂
do videos on that Z in the back 👀
Not my car!
Nolathane bushing is just as good and reasonably price
Next time put the bushing in the freezer so you can press it in easier
You may as well have removed the front and rear windshield also, just to add additional unnecessary steps 😂
yeah i figured that 😂 might remove the trunk next time
You did not need to remove the spindle etc
i know that now

It is the poor way. I saved hundreds by buying just the bushing and doing the work myself, instead of buying it already pressed into a bracket.
