The police obviously don't know/believe Jennifer was possessed/cursed so when jennifers mom finds needy on top of Jennifer's dead body needy gets arrested and sent to a mental hospital. She got some of Jennifer's powers when Jennifer scratched her though so she eventually manages to escape and kill the band guys who caused all this Its a tragic love story imo between needy and jennifer
Needy got a part of the demons powers when Jennifer bit her. She escaped the asylum and killed the rock band, that was responsible for Jennifers posession. If that makes sense. Sorry for my english.
