I’ve really enjoyed this build! I know that if you upgrade to a 08-16 super duty bumper for the excursion that you have to use the old brackets off the excursion!
Your build is awesome. You should do a hitch upgrade. So you can take advantage of all that power you installed. Kudos on the MacGyver fix. I’d ask the company that sold you the bumpers or for some cash 💵 for your time.

Unfortunately you can’t switch sides. They are designed as right and left with how the offset sits to align with the mounting plate on the bumper and the frame of the truck. Trust me, I tried every way to make sure I wasn’t doing something stupid! Hahahahahahaha
@@GSXR1000Rob lol dang that's crazy, i figured as much but they should've thought of that for sure, especially with how it would have worked with the holes lined up, but looks nice...i'm thinking of the Hammerhead bumper for my 2000 Excursion, front and rear...
Sexy. You probably did a better job than the brackets they would send you. I’m getting ready to order my engine from Kill Devil. Trying to find a local mechanic that knows what he’s doing. It’s worth a lot when you know what you’re doing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!! The brackets I made were definitely heavier duty. Get that engine ordered, then you will have about 8 months to get a mechanic lined up! You won’t be disappointed.

I actually did this swap and I preferred to use the brackets from the 08-16 bumper.
WOW, i would have returned if possible especially if they don't give the right selections for correct fit??
