I used your video to help guide me in installing the FASS today on my 7.3 excursion, thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Im sure by now you already may know, but you messed up man, the 5/8ths its all return line stuff. You installed the wrong fitting on the bulkhead fitting (the black circle part you mount on the tank) Im pretty sure you had all of the correct parts but you put them in the wrong place. The “fat piece” (5/8) goes on the return side along with the 5/8 hose. Thank you for letting us learn from you!!!!!
great tutorial for installing a system like this has been very helpful in my install of a kit like this on a 03 excursion 7.3 there's only slight differences in the install only thing I encountered was fass didn't send me enough fuel line but fortunately the local hardware store had what I needed
Great video man. I have a 03 and I just did a RR fuel system, Fass 220gph, 190/30 injectors, KC stage 3,GDP intake, 4in turbo back, Stage 3 Transmission by ATS.
I'm a diesel mechanic and I've seen the worst mechanics. This guy has good work habits keeping things taped off, marked and clean. Even cleaning up the rust. Would have been better to sand blast the rust off and paint but still better than not putting in the effort. Good step by step and details. I have the airdog 5g so I don't have to drop the tank and drill into it. Good job!
Great video man! Only thing I can add is instead of the tape on the fuel fittings use the thread sealant. A small flake of that tape can come off in fuel system and cause headaches. The sealant will just get washed away. I have worked on tons of fuel systems mainly diesels and it has happened before. Just cheap insurance. 👍🏼
@Rob McClanahan that's great working on mine now. Makes it a lot more simple the way you did it and you now have less wires going every where. Watched this series multiple times ( this video especially ). Great job on the detail, thank you.
Great bonding time with the kids! Do it! The build is still on going so I don't have a total cost yet. At the end of the build series I will total up everything. The big ticket item is the engine. You can spend from 3.5K to 20k on the motor alone!
Finally, someone who makes it easy to understand how to set one of these up!
Have mine on order! Thank you for taking the time to help out others! 👍
You are very welcome!
Thank you for this, I'm not sure how long Inhave been searching for this.

Nice!!! How do you like the stage 3 turbo? I bet that thing is an animal!
Great video man! I just got an AirDog lift pump and a KC stage 2 turbo for my 6.0 Excursion! 👍
Keep up the great content! 😎
How did the kc stage 2 turbo pair up with the lift pump looking to do the same set up
@@tylerwilliams7618 I literally just dropped my truck off at the shop this morning! I’ll let you know by the weekend…..
So what was the reason for not installing the pickup to the sending unit like the instructions say to?
Any issues yet wiring into the factory lift pump harness?

Thanks and I greatly appreciate the feedback!!
Have you had any problems using the factory 12v fuel pump circuit?
Nice shirt! 🤘🏼
Hook’em!
Nice how to video
Have you had any issues with your fass system from wiring it in to the factory harness like you did?
Zero issues. 15k miles on it now!

when you hooked into the factory wiring can it hold the power from the new pump?
I was concerned about that as well. So far I have 500 trouble free miles and it holds the regulated return pressure constant from what I can tell.
Did where you connected power did it work and still work?
Yes sir. 5k miles without issue.
EASY SPRAY ⛽ AND LIGHT IT UP
Did the draw straw come with the pump?
Yes, the draw straw comes with the pump.
More parts links PLz..... including the welding sandals
HaHa! I hear you, I'm working on adding product links to video descriptions.
@@GSXR1000Rob Thanks man i love this project series it really helping me with my Rig.
Is this the same as it would be on an F250?
The fuel tank location and shape is different in the F250. All the fuel and electrical connections will be the same though.
How much did the entire build cost? I'm thinking about doing one of my own with my kids
