This hits a special place with me. I had a gem of a 2006 182. Threw buckets of money at it. Looked absolutely factory fresh. Did not want to go the turbo route so had it done with ITBs, Helix clutch, lightened flywheel, race mounts, and it had the Cup package, so just went with solid mounts all around, sticky tires, Milltek exhaust system, m80 ECU and custom tune... I really really miss it so much. Thanks for this video. Mine was blue as well and this just reminded me of some really fun times. 200,000+ km on the engine, and it ran like new.
@ I disagree too, we have a Mk2 trophy 182 (standard), a Mk3 Clio 200 (k tec supercharged 360bhp), R26 Megane Rs (stage 2 305bhp) and finally the newest Megane trophy (420bhp). And I can happily say we’ve had more issues with the 2016 Audi RS3 (standard), 2019 bmw m2 competition pack (standard), and the 2 cars which are the worst of them all currently in the garage 2013 Nissan GTR with a never ending suspension issue and the 2020 Audi R8 which we’ve only had for 3 weeks and out of them 3 weeks I’ve had it for 4 days and done 170 miles only. Safe to say a 720s will be replacing it in the next month or so!
Had the pleasure of seeing this car on the track at Llandow circuit and it was unbelievable to see in person. Had to be the fastest car there even though there was an R33 skyline and Porsche Cayman GT4 on the circuit. True definition of built not bought.
Loved these cars when they came out but they were way expensive in Australia back then so I kind of forgot about it. But I've got interested in them again recently and they are a bargain on the second hand market now. Great video mate as usual.

Awesome car! But please do a 30-70mph test! 0-60 is all about traction and surface and doesnt tell us much about how a car performs on the road! We're usually moving on the road when we put our foot down. My old integra weighed under a tonne and had 200hp but managed a vbox 5.1 to 60 and this clio would leave it standing on the move. Great channel aswell! Keep it up
Bought a stock one of these in 2001. Blew the engine in 2003 with 30 000 km's on the clock due to a faulty rev limiter, and silly me pushing her up to 8500 rpm. Amazing little car, that gave many more expensive/more powerful cars a serious run for their money.

love the car!!! used to have renault 5gtt, the 0-60 time doesn’t give the justice to small track orientated car... i have 335d which probably would hit better 0-60 time being almost twice the weight, but on curvy road or a track Clio would eat a lot of faster cars hands down 🔥
This car looks so much fun. Excitement and drama. The fact that it’s so hard to hit max power with it will keep you interested. I find that once a car Max’s out too often with lots of road ahead that it’ll get boring fast.

These little Clio’s aren’t death traps, plenty of people have stuffed them and walked away. Tough little cars with a decent crash rating at the time. It’s a small, light car still, but light years away from 205’s, Saxo’s etc in crash tests.

Had a 172 back in the day with a few tweaks. Pushing 200bhp and with some interior parts removed and lighter wheels and seats that thing flew. Not meaning to be a boring bastard but over 300bhp in one of these is madness. But in a good way!

You have to turn around the co-driver seatbelt. I had to do that on one of my used cars, not hard when you know how. But don't know how people manage that, I just buckle up normally and drive away. It's quite common in company cars because all sorts of people drive them.
