I was quite curious about the HKT. I'm not really a fan of chisel grinds and I was wondering if the HKT had a good edge out of the box. What about the ease of sharpening?
Im waiting, paid dec 23 2021 for a double edge rapid strike. I buy many fighter blades. Trained alot, but minimal systema. Im going to look up the trechniqies this was designed for. I already have a good idea
Hey Bob! Well, while it's an intriguing specialty design, I find it's a bit overbuilt and too defined for point-down work. As fixed blades go, I like the flexibility of short double-edged daggers along the lines of the SOG Pentagon mini. If I were to choose a specialized Tops blade for Kali, I'd probably go with the Felony Stop, from what I've seen in one or more of your vids. 👍🗡️
Tops makes some knives I like & some I smh and say" who would buy that?". Now I have an answer. Just don't think I would like cutting cardboard with this ha ha ha. Hey, thanks for showing "out of the box" knives - this is just one I am not tempted to buy.
Yeah, picked it up in hopes of doing some training with it. Just so unusual that it demanded a look. Now, back in the case, unless you want an extra cardboard cutter. 😂👍🗡️
I’ve got a Tops HKT knife and absolutely love it! Absolutely awesome blade design and quality is amazing

Nice and unique. Tops does that very well.
Agree strongly about the thickness -- needlessly thick.
I currently carry the Tops street Scalpel 2 but I cant decide on this knife or the Tops rapid strike.
Personally, I'd chose the Rapid Strike for sure. More useful for EDC, as well. I've been looking at one for myself. Thanks for watching! 👍🗡️😁

Very unique design. I'm sure it would serve it's purpose well. Great review 👍
interesting design .... love the two edges.... maybe something I can apply with Libre as well...
Might work for you in your style. A bit thick in stock, but useable. Russian Systema, Libre, and Kali are all linked in movement I find.
I’m definitely going be to getting this blade
Cool looking blade
Beautiful blade almost bought it a couple times. Stuck with the TDI law enforcement.
Thanks! This one is definitely special purpose. There are other Tops offerings which make more sense for daily use. 👍🗡️👍
Good video. Thanks
How does it fit into your style of kali?

@@OGBladeReviews point down, edge in , is best with smaller blades. 4 inch is perfect
As a martial artist, im curious
They should have made this out of 3 mm stock its as thick as an axe.
Missed opportunity i. My mind.
Yup, must have envisioned prybar scenarios in the heat of battle! 😆🗡️👍
