    Excellent knife review. And one of the better product reviews I've seen youtube.

    Kevin! your vocabulary is as elegant and as smooth as the execution of each of your techniques! Very smooth indeed^^

    Excellent presentation.
    I'm thinking sharpen to a tanto point and put pointed pommel on the handle end and perhaps a very slight 'Fattening" where the blade and handle meat to decrease slippage???

    Great review. No fluff or blabber. I love how you compare its functions to other well known fighting designs. I do not understand why TOPS insists on making their blades so needlessly thick.

      Thanks. I have no idea either. This thing is like a chisel. Needlessly thick.

    Great video! I'm no expert but the knife does look great, confortable and easy to work with!

    been knife fighting training all my life, 3 combat tours in the military. The Spyderco P'kal and an HK Boker-made Wharrncliffe (I was trained extensively in FMA, Pentjak SIlat and American ARwology)....years ago I made a design very similar to this, it has a ring on the end but more or less...this is it! GEtting it for my B-day at the end of this week :)

    I agree with you completely about the sheath. I don't like how you can't swap sides on the clip. Awesome review. Will definitely put this through some paces. Boxes beware!!

    Their new HKT Knife is really similar, i don't know if they still make the Backbite.
    Good breakdown of the knife and it's uses and purpose.✌

      That’s a great blade as well . Thanks for watching .

    Pikal grip should be with a blade 3-4 inches. 5 inches is starting to be too long for efficiency. But that's just my thoughts.

    Would you recommend this knife for an EDC, carried in the scout position, right handed??

    • @Combatprofessor
      @Combatprofessor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It wouldn’t be my edc choice. I favour karambits. The handle on this doesn’t have the retention I would like. There is a little bit of slide and roll when I use it at full speed on mannequins.

    I'm left handed. Have you viewed libre fighting ?

    • @Combatprofessor
      @Combatprofessor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m also left handed. Yes I have. Its a very interesting approach. I agree with their range control approach.

      @@Combatprofessor I have a huge knife collection. I actually told myself 2022 I won't buy any more for 1 year. I've got one in the mail owed to me that is from December order. Tops rapid strike double edge coming...we can chat blades sometime. These days I do libre fighting , primarily pikal grip

    Why would you wear it attached to your pants? I wear knives in scout carry on my belt, I'm looking for a new knife to carry, this looks like the one.
    Wow could you imagine someone putting this in your belly and having the nerve to start sawing through your stomach
