Agreed. The oled screens are pretty dumb, I like the hall effect joysticks, durability some of them offer. But also disappointing when $200 controllers are just basic scufs with a different look
If are currently looking for a new controller like I am, a word of warning. I have purchased two Xbox elite 2 in the past 3 years, each one the top LB button fails and quits working. The warranty is for one year and each time I am only getting about a year and half out of them.
ikr? it's like one of the most talked about controller in 2024. it's almost like these youtubers don't do their research and just churned out lazy content based on some articles on the internet
Not really. I do like the dualsense standard though bc of the haptic feedback which gives some shooter games that extra level of immersion. I have found some trouble with compatibility out of the box and it is pretty $$ unless on sale (which it is right now). But the Edge version really is more bragging rights than anything else. While the controller itself is better it is not really going to be a huge noticeable difference other than in your bank account
I have an elite 2 for xbox, it was fine for a year then the right stick got a ton of drift overnight, and the side is falling off now. Cant fix it without paying half the cost of the controller. Ill avoid microsoft made controllers from now on, cant even use new tech for thumb sticks
Personal bias. With some caveats tho! PS Dualsense has some unique features that most other controllers can't replicate. Albeit, only a handful number of games can utilize this features.
I don't get why ppl care so much about battery life on these controllers. If you're gaming so much that it matters, maybe you need to touch some grass instead of more buttons. priorities, people!
I'm 47 years old I've been gaming since Atari 2600 and the dual sense edge is the best controller I've ever put my hands from Xbox to Sony to any PC controller The dual sense edge is worth $300

did any of you ever think about how much carbon footprint is being created by endlessly buying premium controllers? you can't save the planet when gaming!
Those who spend hours researching pc gaming controllers deserve all the eye strain they’re getting. real gamers don't need all that fancy customization, just more skill.
is everyone here gonna ignore the fact that none of these controllers solve the biggest gaming problem: gamers who can't accept their losses? maybe it's time to admit skill issues rather than blame tech.
Couch gaming, preference, staying away from the screen, tv gaming.. need I say more? As a pc gamer, I’d go as far as to say I prefer controllers over kbm
The fact that people still buy battery-powered controllers is crazy. you realize wired ones never die, right? y'all lazy gamers just wanna charge everything.

It depends tho, most of us are not savvy enough to beat DIRT Rally, eFootball, or Ace Combat with a mouse and keyboard. But honestly, if all of your gaming library is about aiming crosshair at another player. You need help.

Customization overload here. literally nobody needs that many features. it's just a way to pump up the price tag for no reason.

Flydigi Apex 4, Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, Gulikit KK3 Max, 8bitdo Ultimate??

Get a hall effect one, they last forever
Flydigi apex 4?
What about gulikit and flydigi???
Hmmmm
All these controllers, and not one has a built-in toaster? It's 2023, why are we still dealing with battery life issues?!
Why a toaster? Most of us don't eat bread anyway?
no flydigi vader 4 pro?

Question: Does the DualSense Edge actually let you play better, or is it just for bragging rights against your friends?

Is it true that bluetooth controllers make you a better gamer? I swear I heard that somewhere, but can't remember where.
No you won't, Bluetooth (arguably) is the worst connection method.
A friend told me console controllers are better for PC than actual PC controllers. where do ppl get these crazy ideas?

did any of you ever think about how much carbon footprint is being created by endlessly buying premium controllers? you can't save the planet when gaming!
Those who spend hours researching pc gaming controllers deserve all the eye strain they’re getting. real gamers don't need all that fancy customization, just more skill.
Tbh, I’m just tryna find the best value controllers under $50, as of rn it looks like it’s gonna be some gamesir controller
is everyone here gonna ignore the fact that none of these controllers solve the biggest gaming problem: gamers who can't accept their losses? maybe it's time to admit skill issues rather than blame tech.
Game controllers are so yesterday, everyone knows VR is where the real gamers are at.
Who even needs a controller when everyone knows PC gamers only use a mouse and keyboard? Controllers are like training wheels for adults.
Couch gaming, preference, staying away from the screen, tv gaming.. need I say more? As a pc gamer, I’d go as far as to say I prefer controllers over kbm
Why would anyone buy a fancy overpriced controller when the $5 ones do the SAME thing?!? Stop falling for marketing gimmicks, people.
grown adults playing with gaming controllers is kinda sad, shouldn't they be focusing on real life instead of button mashing? get a life folks.
Grown adults wasting times on TH-cam is kinda sad, shouldn't they focusing more on real life instead? Get a life mate!
honestly, who even needs a gaming controller for pc? real gamers use keyboards only. these controllers are just overpriced junk for lazy players.
Really?
Do you play Ace Combat or SIM Racing games with keyboard only?
The fact that people still buy battery-powered controllers is crazy. you realize wired ones never die, right? y'all lazy gamers just wanna charge everything.
i buy mine wireless because i stream games to my ipad & i couldn’t find a 5 mile long cable to my pc 🤷🏻♀️

honestly, if u buy a pc gaming controller instead of just using a keyboard and mouse, you're clearly doing it wrong lol.
