The right stick is also in just the perfect position for flickstick whenever I need it. 16:06 the GameSir G7 Steam edition is the controller I am most looking forward to. I've been waiting for any announcement since the leaks since November. The Hori Steam controller was disappointing if you have used controllers like the Cyclone 2 and Vader 3. 8:29 that's basically a Steam controller from 10 years ago... and l want one now! If it was just for GameSir, I think the controller would exist but considering their are legal hurdles, best to assume we will not see such a controller, unfortunately. But dang would it be amazing!!!
Get the G7 Pro in the spring. It’s going to be the best Xbox and PC controller on the market hands down when it comes out. I watched the reveal live and it’s amazing.
If you're thinking of grabbing only one and not want a second or third option from them? Yes, you will be confused ahahahah!! They're setting themselves up for another amazing year for 2025 and I see absolutely zero reason for them to slow down or experience less sales.
100% no, while there are new options coming out, they will not overtake the current bests either. It's more designed for a "cost-efficient" market. If you want premium and the most features, G8 Plus will remain king for as long as I can think of, I have not seen anything to "endanger" the status it currently has, put it this way.
"Gaming phones" should have MCON-like controllers packed with it. Nobody that actually game in phones actually use touchscreen, they always buy external controllers, so that would be perfect. Just make it slimmer and attach it to the phone without bluetooth somehow, like the Legion Go and Switch
Oh man too bad brazil is too far for me to attend the event seems awesome So many booths from all companies out there, I would go crazy testing them all Maybe next year I will be able to go too
Gamesir had a wolverine and deadpool faceplate for the g7 series as well as marvel themed backbones for mobile. They made a new tarantula that works on xbox but is only wired for now. But i am excited for the g7 pro especially since it now has 4 extra buttons and more responsive buttons.
Thanks for this! The fascinating thing for me with this is that since I now primarily play games on the Steam Deck, i've come to realize the biggest thing for me is just whether or not it works with steam input. Like, I have a Blitz 2 TMR and it's fantastic with my PC, but just doesn't work right with the steam deck. I'm really hoping that the gamesir controler has buttons that are remappable within steam input. Legit, outside of the Hori Steampad, there's not much choice outside of official controllers from Sony/Microsoft
I'm really curious to get to test it first-hand because to me, it can be either a genius product, or an absolutely fire dumpster one. I love that they are taking such a gamble, I'm so excited to try it!
hey just one question haha thinking about getting the tarantula pro but if u say there is even a newer version of it, do u have MAYBEEE some insider infos from the ceo when it gets released ? hahahahaha
Mcon would be better as a flip cover style controller, flip part can be opened and the hinge holds the phone up. Basically a smartphone flip case hiding a gamepad, when you play it's like a 3ds
Bro, could you say something about controllers, that connecting to xbox through USB adapters? I would buy elite 2, but these physical sticks... If they were Hall Effect or TMR, but it's not 😢
I do not have adapters like the Brook Wingman unfortunately to test. Maybe eventually but for now, I wouldn't know exactly which adapter works with which controller, or not. S Sorry
Only GameSir pads on my radar were the G7 Pro and Supernova…but I would have expected exactly what you said - new versions of every model. That’s kinda their MO, lol.
I was shown 4 products, spoke about one more that wasn't on the floor that I did not address in this video because these are "hush hush". GameSir are on steroids, they can't be stopped. If I was a manufacturer in the space, I don't even know if I'd want to compete so in many ways, best to just do what they do and let GameSir do the same.
@ I went back and watched the CEO livestream. I’m not at all surprised about the Tarantula Pro he showed off having mechanical face buttons…but pretty shocked it’s licensed for Xbox, and he specifically said it will be 1000hz polling on Xbox, out of the box. If that’s the case, I think it’ll give the Hyperkin symmetrical controller a run for its money for sure.
@@OldManRob13 Yup, many of the "behind closed doors" conversations I had made me understand that Xbox is moving differently too. Seems like they are abolishing internal protocols in favor of gamers have the ability to game the way they want to game, which is huge. They don't get talked about but I know firsthand that a lot will happen in 2025. ;)
@@GameTechTalk makes a lot of sense, based on what I’ve heard about the new direction of Xbox moving forward. Seems like they’re planning to focus more on Xbox as a platform/software across multiple devices, first and third party, and less on the physical Xbox itself.
I have 2 questions if you can answer. Does the Gamesir G7 pro (xbox version) have Gyro or is that only reserved for the Steam version? What is the name of the DOBE fomis electronics prototype K&M controller? Edit: Nevermind, found out the name, TouchFusion M1.
Good you found it, I wouldn't have known. The G7 Pro Xbox version has extra features but I'm not a 100% on gyro and even if, I wouldn't be certain as to if I can say or not but I don't. The other thing is, would gyro be on the software or redirected to the sticks? It's not guaranteed so I guess we'll find out hopefully sooner rather than later. Cheers!
@@GameTechTalk I seen a video (I think for computer 2024) which showed someone using a G7 Pro with a Steam symbol instead of Xbox and when he placed his thumb on the right analog it would activate gyro control. ✌️
@@arielis78 Right, that's technically a different G7 Pro, which I am led to believe will be available one day, but it's not the Xbox licensed version that we're getting in spring so features may not be the same. Cheers!
Wasn't there Gamesir X5 lite? It's already available in Chinese marketplaces, costs 13 dollars (100 yuan)! Will you review it bcs that's the first Gamesir's gamepad with form factor for phones that's sooooo cheap
Great video! Thank u for all the information ❤️ Is there any upcoming TMR Controller that support 2000hz or higher polling rate with actually 4 back paddles/buttons and not those stupid shoulder buttons?
How about new Gamesir Telescopic in that live which look like backbone (which the back small and slim) + G8 look like and color green. That Tik Tok live on Gamesir have that
Yup, it's there, I saw it. It'll be a nice option from GameSir to what I consider will be a small form-factor, probably more cost-efficient, solution for telescopic mobile gaming.
Hi, thanks for the informative video. I have a quick question 🙋🏻♂️ I am looking to buy cyclone 2 controller based on your review should I wait for new release or buy cyclone2. Thanks
The Cyclone 2 in its current shape and form is an amazing controller and arguably, it's extremely close to what the upcoming ones will have. If you are aching and needing of a new controller now, worry not, the Cyclone 2 will remain excellent even when the new releases come out, which will be around spring.
That keyboard controller is interesting. I'm actually looking forward to it since mostly use controllers with my pc. What is it called, is it available already?
@@GameTechTalk Yup that was the discount I saw for the Cyclone 2! I was wondering if it was worth getting the Cyclone 2 on sale now? Or waiting to see if the G7 Pro is better option, based on what you saw?
@@soju_politics The Cyclone 2 Pro is very much a G7 Pro that doesn't work on Xbox. So unless Xbox support is important, I'd say buy with confidence, you're not missing out except maybe for a potentially better D-pad but I didn't get to test that firsthand!
Gamesirs policy on not showing footage or letting others of CES is one of the most backwards things ever. Your literally there to advertise your product. Let others do so for you.
It's possible that they have internal policies and I appreciate you speaking your mind on it because I think they need to hear it and see it from other people to understand how valuable letting "media" capture footage on these events is. That said, I also understand that making said decisions can sometimes require revisiting internal policies and protocols so hopefully that's a new approach they'll adopt in the future.
A new Tarantula controller? Hell yes, let me guess, more buttons, there is room for 4 back buttons and 2 extra shoulders wolverine style. Still loving my T3, I only wish it had longer handles, my hands would thank them.
The focus was primarily new redesigns but if there is one thing I learned with GameSir, it is to not underestimate them, with the amount of unexpected releases they had in 2024, 2025 is looking to be as crazy if not crazier!
Acer also has a new telescopic controller coming, nitro something similar branding to their upcoming pc handheld line, reminds me of the asus rog tessen telescopic controller u reviewed before, at least it in the way it folds, but has USB C connection rather than bluetooth and allows fast charging
So I've heard! From the article I've seen, it's announced for the Australian market so I don't know how/who to even reach out to to hopefully get a review unit. If it's sold in Canada, I'll buy it for sure!
PXN is a new-to-me brand. I'm interested in seeing your review of their wheel; partially to find out how good their products are and mostly to see how good of a driver you are. I imagine that you'll turn a few laps at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in whatever F1 game is your favorite. It's a fun track, if tricky. That could be why it's fun...
@drchtct That's interesting, mind if I ask you to elaborate a bit? I know so little of that subset of gamers so any insight would be extremely appreciated!
I'm interested to try it as well, I haven't used a wheel in so long, plus I am happy they agreed cause I think my son will love playing with that but I must admit, I don't have a whole lot of points of comparisons! @mattdavis9601
@@GameTechTalk Overall just low quality, lots of failed products, and so on. It's important to note that the sim racing industry is in a different price category with most of its gear compared to controllers, so the expectations regarding quality and reliability are a lot higher. For example, their PXN V12 bundle is €560, so you risk & invest a lot more than with a €30 controller. It's very possible their controllers are fine.
I know you can't talk about it, but can't help to notice that you hadn't even mentioned anything about a Flydigi Telescopic controller. If that's the news which can't be mentioned, I can't wait. Well actually I've waited long enough they need to make one which support the sizes of modern phones.
So... We talked about that, it's not that and also not information for me to share. Let me nip that in the bud as they say. Flydigi is working on bigger, better things though, and there's definitely big news for 2025! ;)
To game on Xbox or on PC? Because if we're talking PC, I'd say the challenge won't be having options but rather knowing which to pick because there are so many!
Gamesir is the best I know flydigi and all that is great. But gamesir just works so with me . On Xbox I use the Razer wolverine but I hate the battery on it!
As of late, I associate GameSir more with Xbox than many popular companies such as Razer. Crazy to say... That said, the year is just getting started and we'll see what 2025 brings for Xbox gamers! ;)
We're starting to see some PS5 controller solutions but based off of an accessory that helps bring unofficial controllers onto the PS5, there is a chip apparently needed that Sony tracks for guaranteed licensing, if that chip is not up-to-date, the non-licensed controllers may require a firmware patch to be able to work again. My point, we're starting to see options but they may be a bigger risk than meets the eye, only to not then work because Sony patched them out.
@@GameTechTalk understood, but even just a normal dualsense + hall effect and good calibration is hard to find for less than 200 USD. has me thinking of getting a g7 se just to take its joysticks and install them into a dualsense...
Yup, I didn't talk about that but I know exactly what you're talking about, don't know if viewers will scour the comments but you just unlocked a "hush hush" product and let me tell you, I had a straight-up jawdrop when the CEO showed me it, I WANT IT SO BAD!!!! 🤣
@GameTechTalk lol it's crazy! I just found out 8bitdo released a clip for their tiny controllers (micro and zero 2) that can emulate the same feel of this upcoming Gamesir controller
the PXN 8k is already available online on ali , the apex 5 i heard it's also coming this year , and there should be an x30 from easysmx also . the Machenie / Thunderobot what are they ?! are they one company or two ?! because they do market seperately and have a lot in common at the same time. and big big won also a comapny with lots of potential , i hoped to see more than that downgraded controller , but i guess they are not as popular as they deserve so they are not taking risks. and thx for the overview about the coming stuff this year and the trip seemed like an eye opening experience to see the people who make those amazing products in person and i am sure you were appreciating them like celeperties even though it was your first time to see them lol
So Machenike, Thunderobot are both sister companies to a much larger one and with all of them together, they are basically a "gaming tech" empire is what I have come to understand. That's definitely a company I'd love to learn a whole lot more about in 2025! I guess the issue is we don't always know if the sales are as strong as the products are, we'd assume they are but it's all a big mystery. If I had to guess, BIGBIG WON is considerably better at making products than they are at marketing them. I hate to say, and I hope they won't take offense to my comment if they see this but I think it's factual. Their products are really awesome but I feel like I'm dealing with a lot of: "Uhh who are these guys?" when I talk about them. They also don't pop up in comments of unrelated videos like GameSir and Flydigi do for example.
@GameTechTalk i am kinda collecting different controllers , but I still didn't own a mechenike or Thunderobot controller, i like their modular sticks and i did consider the Thunderobot g80 . As for big big won i do feel exactly the same now that i tried the blitz 2 tmr , i think they differently should bring something on the level of the blitz 2, maybe something with 6 extra buttons and analog triggers and trigger stops, and another minimalistic version, i am suggesting this because i know that they have the best software for multiple buttons in the market. But my expectations is that the best controller in 2025 could be the apex 5 from Flydigi.
There is one I didn't talk about hehehe because that one was full-on "secret mode", and I'm not referring to a recolor of the Tarantula. 😉 2025 will be exciting.
Only one that I’ve seen, mind you I didn’t see everything. But the one I’ve seen, which was from Aolion was definitely a “cost-efficient” one that I wouldn’t trust as my primary controller
@@puneet7768 They are yeah, I think it's already available on AliExpress but he did tell me that sometimes firmware updates can break workability and that usually a new firmware update is required on the controller to fix that.
I understand, I think it's due to requiring more deeply rooted code to address the controllers, I don't see how/why they'd risk their brand by installing malicious software but I respect and get your decision.
Sorry, the b-roll didn't match the controller you saw at that very moment but indeed, purple is Evangelion, pink is Genshin Impact, light blue is Honkai Star Rail.
@@uncalledfour he don't think he was talking about that controller when he showed the B Roll... He was just going over all the controllers... I believe the pink one is the Genshin controller
@UONeal is correct, I just didn't align the B-roll, in production, these happen after the fact. Sometimes I'll align things accordingly but seeing as this would've created "disjointed" footage of me panning the camera, I decided not to. Sorry for the confusion, the purple is Evangelion, which was the first re-release too, the pink is Genshin Impact and the light blue is Honkai Star Rail. There are a few more to spot in the footage as well! :)
Pleease chinese companies, sell this controller format for cheaper in Aliexpress for those who live in poor countries (Sorry to the actual guy who made it and the company lol)
@@Psychotoxic86 The Steam version has gyro and capacitive touch sticks as well as extra inputs (back paddles) that can be individually mapped through Steam. This is not possible with any Xinput controller. Only the Elite 2 has back paddles that can be individually mapped in Steam Input.
My guy, I want it SOOOOOO MUCH!! But it's real, at least we know that so I'm ok being patient but that could be a MASSIVE GAMECHANGER, the Steam controller from Hori is nice, but we need a premium version of that and that G7 Pro might just be exactly what we need and want. 2025 will be CRAZY!
@Moskeeto Yo wait a minute, you're the Moskeeto that I referred to a while back in a video, you made truckloads of tutorials for the Steam Deck and had that video about Okami using the trackpads! Nice to see you around :)
@NateBuildingBricks Like, I get if the intention is to keep them attached at all times that it may be hard to "pocket" the combo. But frankly, I don't think I'd want such a controller, there is a need for a bit of depth for buttons, d-pads and sticks to be the best they can be. But here's the thing though, if you don't mind disconnecting the magnets and putting each your phone and the controller in each a pocket, there is NO WAY that the MCON does not fit. Simply impossible. And if you rock a jacket, both attached will fit in most jacket pockets.
@@GameTechTalk Oh I don't mean having the phone attached while it's in the pocket. I mean just the controller by itself is thicker than actual handhelds. The current model looks too thick. A handheld like the 3DS, Vita, Anbernic 35xxh, Trimui Smart Pro, and many others look more pocketable than just the mcon controller without a phone attached.

Get the G7 Pro in the spring. It’s going to be the best Xbox and PC controller on the market hands down when it comes out. I watched the reveal live and it’s amazing.
@@YaBoiAiridk, doesnt have 4 back buttons. The biggest tragedy...ever
@@ilbro7874 i do much prefer the 2 back button + 2 shoulder button layout. Personal preference i guess. Cant wait for the G7 Pro
Well, i havent tried it honestly. I only learned about back buttons 6 months ago😅@@raffyluvmiharu
If you're thinking of grabbing only one and not want a second or third option from them? Yes, you will be confused ahahahah!! They're setting themselves up for another amazing year for 2025 and I see absolutely zero reason for them to slow down or experience less sales.
I literally just ordered a Gamesir G8 plus today, January 10th 2025. Should I return that and wait for whatever is coming out that is comparable???
100% no, while there are new options coming out, they will not overtake the current bests either. It's more designed for a "cost-efficient" market. If you want premium and the most features, G8 Plus will remain king for as long as I can think of, I have not seen anything to "endanger" the status it currently has, put it this way.
@@GameTechTalk thanks so much for the advice, I just got the G8 plus today, can't wait to use it, and I'm happy it won't be obsolete any time soon!
if flydigi created a controller thats 2000hz polling rate cheaper than the black myth wukong edition this 2025, ill definitely gonna buy it.
Another thing I didn't mention in the video, I was told of a 4000Hz and 8000Hz controller and no, it is not the PXN P5! All I can say for now though 😏
@GameTechTalk so flydigi created a 4000hz and 8000hz controller? 😳
@@dontblinkoryouwillmissme Lol, can't say, lots of companies mentioned in that video 🤐
8:31 I am so excited about that one!
I am too ahahah! Hopefully I'll be able to review it soon enough
"Gaming phones" should have MCON-like controllers packed with it. Nobody that actually game in phones actually use touchscreen, they always buy external controllers, so that would be perfect. Just make it slimmer and attach it to the phone without bluetooth somehow, like the Legion Go and Switch
I wouldn’t mind getting a controller packed with a phone, especially one designed to match the footprint of the device
Oh man too bad brazil is too far for me to attend the event seems awesome
So many booths from all companies out there, I would go crazy testing them all
Maybe next year I will be able to go too

I think you will come with screwdriver and will dissemble all controllers on the booths ))))
Gamesir had a wolverine and deadpool faceplate for the g7 series as well as marvel themed backbones for mobile. They made a new tarantula that works on xbox but is only wired for now. But i am excited for the g7 pro especially since it now has 4 extra buttons and more responsive buttons.
I'm so excited for it too, can't wait!
Tarantula with mechanical face buttons would be an insta buy for me
I wouldn't be surprised if that happens at some point, 2025 even? Time will tell! 😎
I need to make more space for that in my reviews, thanks for reminding me actually!
The Dobe controller is the most interesting to me
I'm really curious to get to test it first-hand because to me, it can be either a genius product, or an absolutely fire dumpster one. I love that they are taking such a gamble, I'm so excited to try it!
hey just one question haha thinking about getting the tarantula pro but if u say there is even a newer version of it, do u have MAYBEEE some insider infos from the ceo when it gets released ? hahahahaha
Sadly I do not, all I know is it won't have the swapping feature and it'll have mechanical buttons instead.
Mcon would be better as a flip cover style controller, flip part can be opened and the hinge holds the phone up.
Basically a smartphone flip case hiding a gamepad, when you play it's like a 3ds
That could be an interesting concept for sure
Had me worried there, i was about to feel like those kids who bought a Nintendo switch this Christmas 🏴☠️
Lol, I hope whatever the worry was that it subsided with this video! Cheers :)
I'm sure I will at some point but I don't know anything about a timeline as to when that'll be available on the international market!
Great video! Thank u for all the information ❤️
Is there any upcoming TMR Controller that support 2000hz or higher polling rate with actually 4 back paddles/buttons and not those stupid shoulder buttons?
I would be logical to say yes as this was the trending tech in controllers in late 2024 but I haven't had any specifics at the time being.
@ thanks for helping out. Keep making the amazing content like you.😇
That keyboard controller is interesting. I'm actually looking forward to it since mostly use controllers with my pc. What is it called, is it available already?
It is not available yet and I do not currently have any ETA provided as to when either.
Any thoughts on getting a Cyclone 2 Pro on a slight discount now or waiting for G7 Pro reviews/release (as a PC player)? Thanks!
They just announced a discount, you can use this link geni.us/pQSFN (affiliate) to get the controller and dock for just shy over 50USD!
Thunderobot G50S controller is pretty good.
I knew of the brand but I must say, their controls looked exquisite!
Why does nobody makes a symmetrical sticks layout controller?
They are seemingly less popular but hopefully there will be more and more options in 2025 and beyond
Whats the name of that PC controller with the touchpad? I cant get any other photo or video to come up when I search the brand
The brand is DOBE Fomis Electronics. I'm not sure exactly what the name of the controller itself is, sorry
As a sim racer, PXN has a very bad rep in our community, stay clear for some years until they improved
Apex 2 (bxy wheel , additional m5/m6 bumpers , c&z buttons) with vader 4 features (sticks dampending rings , analog/digital triggers hybrid , good gyro , 1000hz) + being hybrid joycon style + telescopic? Maybe on different timeline
So... We talked about that, it's not that and also not information for me to share. Let me nip that in the bud as they say. Flydigi is working on bigger, better things though, and there's definitely big news for 2025! ;)
I'd love to go to that timeline ahaahahaah!! Sounds like the endgame controller, I don't think I could've kept such a grand product a secret!
Any manufacturer making a controller with 4 paddles that can rival the elite series 2?
To game on Xbox or on PC? Because if we're talking PC, I'd say the challenge won't be having options but rather knowing which to pick because there are so many!
Gamesir is the best I know flydigi and all that is great. But gamesir just works so with me . On Xbox I use the Razer wolverine but I hate the battery on it!
As of late, I associate GameSir more with Xbox than many popular companies such as Razer. Crazy to say... That said, the year is just getting started and we'll see what 2025 brings for Xbox gamers! ;)
any ps5 capable controllers??
I saw leaked photos of a Gamesir controller that could turn phone into a Gameboy-esque handheld. Really curious about that
Yup, I didn't talk about that but I know exactly what you're talking about, don't know if viewers will scour the comments but you just unlocked a "hush hush" product and let me tell you, I had a straight-up jawdrop when the CEO showed me it, I WANT IT SO BAD!!!! 🤣
@GameTechTalk lol it's crazy! I just found out 8bitdo released a clip for their tiny controllers (micro and zero 2) that can emulate the same feel of this upcoming Gamesir controller
@ Yup! I’m hoping I can cover that solution as well.
the PXN 8k is already available online on ali , the apex 5 i heard it's also coming this year , and there should be an x30 from easysmx also .
the Machenie / Thunderobot what are they ?! are they one company or two ?! because they do market seperately and have a lot in common at the same time.
and big big won also a comapny with lots of potential , i hoped to see more than that downgraded controller , but i guess they are not as popular as they deserve so they are not taking risks.
and thx for the overview about the coming stuff this year and the trip seemed like an eye opening experience to see the people who make those amazing products in person and i am sure you were appreciating them like celeperties even though it was your first time to see them lol
On your next chat with the people at flydigi please ask them to add a headphone jack.
Ohh that's a great point, will do thanks!
Apex 4 controller broke and stop Turing on properly and I haven't had anyone help me with support
Oh, that's no fun! I think they have a Discord, you might find better help there?
such a shame that no one is making a ps4 kind of controller! only know the tarantula pro
There is one I didn't talk about hehehe because that one was full-on "secret mode", and I'm not referring to a recolor of the Tarantula. 😉 2025 will be exciting.

So Aolion is coming up with a PS5 controller?
@@puneet7768 They are yeah, I think it's already available on AliExpress but he did tell me that sometimes firmware updates can break workability and that usually a new firmware update is required on the controller to fix that.

That would be awesome, let's hope 2025 brings good fortune to Xbox gamers! 😊
The only issue is have with flydigi is the fact that I get warnings from by anti virus. Not worth it to me.
I understand, I think it's due to requiring more deeply rooted code to address the controllers, I don't see how/why they'd risk their brand by installing malicious software but I respect and get your decision.

I really want that Steam version of the G7 Pro. It looks fantastic.
Steam version? Every xinput controller is the "steam" version. G7 Pro will be wireless for PC and wired for Xbox.

Mcon is about being pocketable but it's thicker than a lot of android handhelds and a 3ds. It's needs to be thinner.
@@NateBuildingBricks it can slide under the phone
