One of the BIGGEST songwriters and singers (that voice!) of the 80's and 90's. Period. And even if he has less chart success nowadays, he still has the voice and still writes great songs. A music legend.
My brother’s wedding song.. stunning.. one of the best male vocalists of all time.. his collab with Rod Stewart and Sting is also epic.. as are all his solo tracks.. a worthwhile rabbit hole
Hearing that someone hasn’t heard this song or his name, just reminds me that I must be getting pretty old 😂. I’m 45 and was a huge fan of his in the 90’s and 2000’s. You couldn’t turn on a radio and not hear one of his songs - especially this one - at least once a day. He has plenty of hit ballads and rock songs. Amazingly talented songwriter with an amazing voice. It’s instantly recognisable!
@@MikeStrickland-h4p I know of 80 something old viewers here so they might argue that 67 is not old at all yet! You’re still pretty young! 😀 It’s all about the perspective. When I became BA’s fan in my teenage years, he already had been an established musician for more than a decade, so of course he has much older fan base than my generation. 👍🏻
I can't hear this without thinking of the video with Kevin Costner firing the flame arrow and Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham. We saw it a lot in the UK when it was number 1 for 16 weeks (as @KeithRobshaw179 said)
Yes! That was the music video they showed with this song when I was kid and I still remember it. Granted at that point in my childhood I also remember being on a Robin Hood kick. As in I was watching Disney's Robin Hood to the point I could quote it and reading a bunch of Robin Hood books. Prince of Thieves just added to the Robin Hood fascination and gave me a rock ballad I could sing to. (Also if I'm remember correctly Robin Hood Men in Tights also came out not long after that.)
Their's a version with Rod Stewart, Sting, and Brian Adam's. Spectacular track. I loved the 90s. We were so cool. Correction, it was a different song. From the three musketeers movie, I think it all for one and for all. Something similar and the movie was great too.
One of my favourite artists. I’ve seen him live several times and he’s soooooo good! More Bryan Adams, please. One of my favourites (especially live) is Cuts Like A Knife
One of the big hits from his "Reckless" album was "It's Only Love", a duet he did with the legendary Tina Turner. I think there's a video somewhere from a concert she did in Birmingham, England where she invited Bryan on stage to do that song.
Love him so much. That voice, together with the music, make a powerful, beautiful combination. Listen to Summer of 69-there is a reason so many are recommending it
So many songs in the catalogue, "Cuts Like A Knife" (especially live). I've seen him in concert many times and he's as good as anyone live!!! He's currently doing a world tour for the next 6 months or so
Yes Heaven & Sum 69 live ! Surprised you have not heard him. I am happy to see your enthusiasm and appreciation upon finally seeing one of his videos. I think Bryan can do no wrong - an incredible talent 💫❤
Whether you are the giver or receiver of the song ,everyone hopes for this kind of love at least once in your life. Bryan is a phenomenal singer. A lot of great love songs. Great in concert.
I saw Brian in concert in Philly in '83. Was part of the bill along with The Tubes and the final group, Journey! What an amazing day/night!! There is a great video of Brian joining Tina Turner on stage singing a real sexy duet. Can't think of the song title right now...old age! 😊
Adams has had the same guitarist, Keith Scott, since his start. Keith is highly underrated, and has that ability to create that perfectly tasteful 30-60 second solo that works so well with Bryan's music.
My favorite song and video from him is "Do I Have To Say The Words".. It has a great guitar part, and the video was shot in Iceland and Turkey and is so beautiful. There's so many other good songs from him, too..hope you do a bunch more! ☮️
I hate to brag. 😂 I have been listening to Bryan since he started writing songs with James Vallance, the original drummer and main songwriter for the Canadian band Prism. James and Bryan have been lifelong songwriting partners ever since. Bryan cowrote 2 songs on Prism’s 1981 album, Small Change, with James Vallance. They cowrote, “Stay”, and, “Don't Let Him Know". “Don’t Let Him Know”, was Prism's biggest US hit, peaking at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart. 😉 They are BOTH excellent songs.
One of the world's biggest stars in those decades and still out there performing and sounding as great as ever. Not only a great singer and songwriter but a good human being. Thanks for sharing.
Please check out “Cuts Like A Knife”, “Summer of ‘69”, “Heaven”, “All For Love (with Sting & Rod Stewart)”, “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started”, “18 ‘Til I Die”, “The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You”, “Thought I’d Died And Gone To Heaven”, “Please Forgive Me”, “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman”, “Finally Found Someone (With Barbra Streisand)”, “Run To You”, “It’s Only Love (with Tina Turner)”, “Kids Wanna Rock”, “Hearts On Fire”, and “Diana” which was about Princess Diana. All hits, and not even close to all of them.
Bryan Adams is a massive rabbit hole to go down. The biggest international hit maker Canada has ever had. I’ve seen him live 5 or 6 times. Always a fantastic show.
Bryan Adams is amazing. Saw him live couple of times, and he still knows how to rock. Couple of years ago he did an acoustic tour (Bare Bones), which is absolutely phenomenal, you should definitely search for that album
Keith Scott is a great guitarist and quite underrated I think. They’ve been performing together for decades. His concerts are amazing. He still sounds great. There are so many songs to check out from Bryan Adams: Run To You, Please Forgive Me, Summer of ‘69, It’s Only Love with Tina Turner and All For Love with Sting and Rod Stewart. I mean, the list is endless 😀
Heaven is by far my favourite song of his. I saw him live last year on his birthday, think he turned 63, he’s still an amazing live act! All those little hoots and hollers you hear, he does that live as well, it’s pretty cool to listen to.
It was, and still is, one of the more popular wedding/anniversary songs out there. The lyrics just scream (as does the title) "Perfect love song for couples".
Now you really really need to watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner. This came from the soundtrack and was number one on the U.K. charts for sixteen consecutive weeks in 1991, still a record to this day for the longest uninterrupted run ever on that chart. It’s one of the best selling singles of all time.
I still love his music. I have his greatest hits. There are too many favorite songs. Cuts like a knife, straight from the heart, run to you, heaven, summer of 69. Then there's all for one, and all for love with Sting and Rod Stewart. Have you really ever loved a woman.
If you want your woman with "happy tears", play her "Have you ever really loved a woman". Lyrics speaks love ❤❤❤. Anyway, i love your reaction, and hello from Serbia 🇷🇸!
SalvoG, great one, yeah he is an amazing singer, saw him open for Journey on his Cuts Like Knife Tour when he hit it big here, Journey was on top of the charts, great band, technically perfect show- but Bryan Adams and his band blew them off the stage! kudos for Journey for having such a strong opening act, the guy can just sing and his guitar player and band rock..
The live video from the UK, it is the audience response that cannot be missed. This song is so loved That Bryan could just stand on stage and the crowd will serenade him. Check it out, please.
Queen Elizabeth’s 50th jubilee Party at the Palace. He performed it live WITH a broken right wrist (motorcycle accident). Watched the whole thing live. What a concert! Check out Brian May playing God Save the Queen as guitar solo on roof of Buckingham Palace.
Saw him in concert on his Reckless tour. He got huge while on that tour, and when he returned home to Vancouver had to add a 2nd show due to demand. It was awesome to be at his homecoming show...one of the best concerts I've seen.
@@MadMaxine1979 sooo right...great movie..Kevin Costner at his sexiest, Alan Rickman to die for and Morgan Freeman....well come on, he's Mogan Freeman...Great fun movie.

What Wikipedia didn’t say was it was number one in the UK for 16 bloody weeks 😅

“All for Love” from the 1993 movie version of “The Three Musketeers”. Great song! And good movie, with a lot of star power.
