Yesterday I did a pure Flow deck after also not being a fan of Hearth. I ended the wall fight with 197 stacks of flow... Let's just say Waterfall was doing decent damage.
@@megajago990 I don't know if it's been changed since, but Waterfall gained one flow on hit back when I made this comment. Essentially, it doubled your flow every single time you used it if every waterfall hit, which meant you could get some humorous numbers against bosses
Frost is honestly a monster at the moment, Some of the artifacts are alright, But I think "Choco mint icecream" Is massively underated. Slow down enemies for I think 2.5 Seconds each time frost is applied to them, So with something like Blizzard, or Fimbulveter, You get a lot of time to react to most attacks
Probably my most memorable run was getting Glitter storm+ double cast with fire storm, thunderstorm and acid rain on Saffron, Just spam them out and watch it melt foes and hostages alike.
If you're playing Reva, I think Corset is the best shield spell. If you reflect right before you cast, you deal 40 damage and get 100 Health for 0 Mana cost! Double cast it once and that's a 200 shield spell that also does 80 damage. The timing is almost impossible to mess up and I think if you play Reva it's literally a better Forte that also costs way less Mana and doesn't consume! I get that it might be super niche, but I just wanted to mention it!
My favorite convergence spell is Anagalam. I take it every run that it shows up. This video made me realize I have never taken boomerang. I guess I'll give it a try.
I believe the rarity cycle is Common (White) Rare (Blue) Epic (Purple) Legendary (Gold) Calamity (Rainbow) . Rock Cycle was nerfed which is why it's seems bad but it can be good since there are so many Relics that give flow or work with flow. I actually won my very first run with Hearth due to the Flow buff.
I think you might really enjoy tomorrows video ;) (spoiler its called "I was wrong about hearth") Overall I still feel without the exact right artifacts and upgrades that rock cycle is just a bad waterfall in most situations however Hearth finally felt OP
@@purplatypus7405 Maybe a combo to look for Mother (Gold Artifact) : All spells give flow Rock Cycle : 1 mana, if have flow recycle into deck and -1 mana upgrade. unlimited power!!!
Glad to see another upload! I just unlocked the shopkeeper with a really cheesy strat, and i did not realize how cheese it was, until it just happened in the middle of the shopkeeper fight. My idea was to use normal saffron, since she has the highest base hp and she has a revive, and then focus Miseri to grab soul link as early as you can. My idea was that since saffron has 1200 + 600 hp, soul link will do quite the large numbers, since i was getting hit quite a bit. Little did I remember that the shopkeeper had the attack that locks you in an ice cage, and then she bursts 7 of the ice blocks with 666 damage, so yeah it was hilarious when i took her to 2000 hp, she throws out the attack, and then she just gets completely oneshot via soul link. It took me a few seconds to process, but yeah, thats the cheese strat.

Overall I agree with your choices a lot. These spells that do not require a lot of aiming but still have good values work miracles when you're a beginner, and are still solid when gaining some experience in the game. Your attention is truly the most important currency in this game and not having to aim for a second lets you peek at your spell list or read the enemy's pattern better. If I had to elect some, spells that I almost always pick are Boomerang, Shine and Magic claw because I feel they have both instant value and potential in the run.
@@purplatypus7405 magic claw is just a super generically useful spell. the only time i dont take it is if i'm using an extremely highly specific deck. i.e. switchbait or kunai.
In Hearth, I really like Rock Tomb; 4 mana but can deal massive damage with or without the right setups. It's easy to have it in any deck with 4 mana, as long as you have one other card with flow, you can wait until you get it before casting Rock Tomb, at 4 mana it's very hard to cast it by mistake. And give it the upgrade that adds Fragile, or the upgrade that adds more shots, at it'll do massive damage even without flow. The added shields is a problem, but even with them, the enemies are either dead or it still did massive damage taking the shields into account. And there's no need to aim!
In tomorrows video you will see me use Rock Tomb and I found myself very impressed with that spell! You are right its very powerful easy to use and no aiming required! I will need ot use it again but with more upgrades
Omg I don’t know if I told you but shopkeeper is broken with sera cannon , I won three times, all endings with shopkeeper because of sera cannon shuffle rotation and at the end I did 1100 damage per shot and I had echo and another spell that did the same thing put doubles the damage, was really broken and I destroyed bosses in like 20 seconds or less! Idk why I did a whole mini essay of how sera cannon is op. By the way nice video

Anubis(+consume) and Pandemic(+doublecast) is so sanity-saving when you just can't with the skillshots. I thought Double Tap deserved a mention too, it's just great against minor rooms and it's pretty solid almost always.
If you can dish out damage using shuffle like tutu and shorten the time why isn’t there a shuffle deck just saying, it might be bad but could have cards like forte in it like 3 for shield and then also card thrower maybe that would be a good deck?
Earth Prayer + Waterfall + Barrier is pretty bonkers. I think Barrier didn't exist when you filmed this? It's also nice to front-load consume-Forte and maybe a Double Tap to make shorter rooms easier, and health gain is also an issue with the hyperscaling setups like this. Earth Prayer isn't strictly necessary here, but it helps Waterfall snowball and self-scale that much faster and it's mana-positive the second time around at worst. River is sort of a poor man's Earth Prayer, but you can't always count on it. I already saw you make a comment that you gave Flow a chance and changed your views, so no need to tell me if you see this. :)
yeah not barrier back when this was made. i honestly think barrier might be the most op spell in the game potentially I think it will get nerfed. Overall flow is pretty good but still mostly feels like a wall killer to me

@@purplatypus7405 If it consumed 50%, it wouldn't snowball as much, and maybe it could even be buffed. Also should cost 2 and give 2 flow maybe? Mana cost by itself is sometimes not meaningful for balance in late game. Similar in outcome to having this consume flow, there could just be a Rock Cycle type of card, but for shields. But I sometimes skip Rock Cycle because Waterfall exists.

I personally don't love soul link but it's just free damage on a second unit. And if you have some aoe it will take the damage of all the units so can easily do amazing damage but I tend not to use skills with tight timing
@@purplatypus7405 oh, I guess that makes sense. I typically only view my build as "what will make boss fights faster/ easier" as normal encounters usually aren't as hard.
That is a super powerful deck but for cheese strata nothing beats solo double cast eternity cannon haha. Or getting like 1k flow with glaive and just tanking up with barrier

I tried a flow deck myself, they changed waterfall so I couldn't do that, but you could say I had 2.3k Shield by the end of the last fi fight

Boomerang is a spell I am always impressed with when I take it (unless I miss with it every damn time)

I think energizer is one of the best spells because you can make a small deck and just start multiping damage

probley not top 3 worthy but in glimmer if I can get a soul fire on the first floor, it makes clearing the later floors so much easier.

you should try a soul fire switchbait deck, try to get piercing on soul fire as quick as possible to stack it up faster and then go ham

I hands-down believe that Railgun is the objectively best spell in the game.
Railgun is so dope. I think its basically the best spell although maybe onec you take into account upgrades and artifacts some other spells get better
