Yes, the seatbelts are annoying when putting the rear seats back up. But you’ll be amazed by how much you can carry with those seats down. The interior is high and this little car has amazed my wife and me with how much you can transport in it.
Coasting is the best strategy to maximize range. Regenerative braking is transforming only part of the kinetic energy of the vehicle to chemical energy. If you can coast down the road and stop with the minimum amount of "engine" braking then you will get the most out of a charge. Still note that regenerative braking is always better than friction braking and when driving downhill can definitely help you control the speed of the vehicle.
My one experience with Fiat taught me to never, ever even think of buying anything they make ever again. It's hard to believe that company is still in business.
They should just remove the backseat by default when it's so usable and offer it as an option. Not everyone will use that small backseat. Simply folding the seats to create more boot space is just inefficient in both space and mileage considering that the backseat is unnecessary weight.
It's a hard choice as to which car I prefer. I like both the Fiat 500 and the Honda E but I'm concerned about the Honda's range and I like the (nearly a) convertible option on the Fiat. If the cars had identical range and the Honda had a convertible option, I think I'd choose the Honda but as things are, I'd choose the Fiat - the convertible, please!
My girlfriend drives a 500 and I love it. It's just a wonderfully simple car with bucket-loads of character. This "E" version is just another addition to the original Wow factor. Plastic, yes... Want it, definately yes (for the girlfriend you understand) 😂

Amazing Video I love the effort and planning behind it.
When he went to the back and said "There is no exhaust Pipe because...it's electric" and I immediately go Boogie Woogie Woogie... LOL
This video makes me sad with all these new electric cars coming the carwow stick of truth will soon be consigned to history 😢
I'm watching this video from Torino and I'm Very proud of my city right now
@Kev Pog insult Italian cars again and you'll regret it capit?
Also FCA is not owned by French, they're cooperating
11:08, huh is that 0.22 € per kWh for DC? that's not a bad rate compared to Germany, almost twice as little.
They should just remove the backseat by default when it's so usable and offer it as an option. Not everyone will use that small backseat. Simply folding the seats to create more boot space is just inefficient in both space and mileage considering that the backseat is unnecessary weight.
One of the first things i did was remove my rear seats in my Abarth, shed about 50 pounds and more boot space
Brakes are made of mice hahahahaha
Waiting for the *Yianni vs Mat drag race* upload quick ❤️

It's a hard choice as to which car I prefer. I like both the Fiat 500 and the Honda E but I'm concerned about the Honda's range and I like the (nearly a) convertible option on the Fiat. If the cars had identical range and the Honda had a convertible option, I think I'd choose the Honda but as things are, I'd choose the Fiat - the convertible, please!

They deserve an award for making the aircon and gear shifter controls so simple. I'm looking at you VW, with your reprehensible capacitive buttons...
My girlfriend drives a 500 and I love it. It's just a wonderfully simple car with bucket-loads of character. This "E" version is just another addition to the original Wow factor. Plastic, yes... Want it, definately yes (for the girlfriend you understand) 😂
9:40 INFINTE ENERGY! THE CAR IS CHARGING ITSELF!
1. FIAT 500
2. HONDA E
1.model 3
Love your reviews Matt
Mat: "It's a relatively inexpensive car, what do you expect"
Didn't know that a 30k Fiat was cheap.
Yeh, I will never pay that amount for an entry level economy EV hatch. How they are gonna shift this when they cost as much as a Model 3 is beyond me. It should be 15K cheaper minimum imo.
@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks no way you can make a 45kWh vehicle 15k.
@@yosyp5905 well it's not cheap that's for sure.
A Volskwagen ID3 with the lower spec battery is a better buy.
@@dragospahontu if you want to make the majority of your trips back to the dealership sure, volkswagen electronics in a fully electric car sweet Jesus
@@saabaton169 Volkswagen have an average reliability record same as Renault, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, there shouldn't be any problems.
Volkswagen has invested a lot of money in the new electric car platform it is a good building block to start from.
Lol intro with the lockdown thing was very funny 🤣😝
I remember the insane amount of different electrical problems on my old Fiat Bravo.
Now you can get a pure electric Fiat.
I'm impressed it didn't malfunction under the review.
I do 580’000 km whit my bravo 🎉
that camera really likes to focus on the background
I've always liked Honda & their cars but if choosing between these two cars the Fiat would win the looks category by a mile.
10 minutes to take a dump? What else was going on in that loo? I love this Matt guy.
The 500 looks way better, the Honda looks very odd
Agreed
I like the Honda more but that's my opinion
I love the honda E. Only the range needs to be improved.
It's a city car really so for city people it's ok
why dont they bring this to the US ?

Honda e for me! Already purchased it. But I welcome the e500 and liked the Mini E. more EV choice is key to adoption. Just the Honda is better all round 😊
How is it better? Have you actually test-driven both cars? I test drove both and the range on Honda-E is abysmal, roughly half of Fiat in real driving conditions. But what made me go for the 500 LaPrima version is much higher build quality overall. the car looks and feel more premium both inside and outside.
@@johns4651 pays your money. Make your choice. Range is not an issue for me. I felt the Honda looked better, higher engineering and design. Interior is far more lounge like. And better handling and performance (it was replacing a Mini JCW). Camera mirrors work well. And 5 years service package for £250. But I understand why people would buy a 500e
