  • A tutorial walkthrough on how to make any preset from the Kontakt Factory Library expressive and responsive to the Glide, Slide, and Press gestures applied to a Seaboard RISE or Seaboard BLOCK.
Please note that since this video was made, ROLI Dashboard has been updated. At 0:54, instead of using "Multi Channel" simply select "Single Channel" with a MIDI Channel of 1. Then at 5:10 you may select "Multi Channel" with a MIDI Start Channel of 1 and a MIDI End Channel of 4.

be cool if we could get this updated for the new roli dashboard with the rise 2

Please make an updated video with Kontakt 14, I'm asking as a Rise 2 owner. So much has changed, I've also seen other people use 4 MIDI outputs using the rise 2 in Logic Pro. Also please show me how to connect the Kontakt library with the one Logic Pro has.

This would be why I'm returning my rise 49. I want plug and play. I spend more time trying to get my stuff to work than making music. It's frustrating. Maybe in a few years when these technologies really talk to each other, will I revisit it.

Super, but how to easily apply this jazz guitar preset to a cello or other instrument?

Great video. This would be impossible without your help. Thank you

Using Kontakt 6 I couldn't (really) hear the mono aftertouch altering the volume/amplifier or the distortion having any real effect. For some reason I was editing the 'Noises' only instead of the 'Jazz Guitar'. Found that out while clicking on the Group Editor tab. Works fine now. Thanks

So much details, That’s why I rarely use the seaboard. Even equator is laking so much of acoustic instruments

Is there a revised version of this setup for seaboard 2 / Kontakt 6/7 ? I'm not getting the same results (using LIVE). Thanks

The MIDI End Channel doesn't go below 2. What can I do?

Is there a way to easily apply this to a bunch of instruments in one go? Maybe some sort of macro?

Same as other people -- the updated Kontakt doesn't have the same way to get to Edit Mode

I'm from the future and I cannot set MIDI End Channel to 1. Only 2 available. The guitar sounds are arbitrarily available or unavailable. What should I do?

Not even recognising the Seaboard Block - despite it playing Equator and Strobe 2 quite happily.. Grrrr!
