WoW, thank you so much for this sweet introduction of the Seaboard’s possibilities. I got mine when it came out in Canada and did a few cool things with it. Now working with a band and we are introducing my Roli to our music. I am really excited! There was some functions that I misinterpreted, your video helped me understand the missing parts! Can’t wait for our next practice so I can experiment better with it!
Such a feeling of youth in the late 70's of early synth music in the beginning. Saw your musical piano some years back. And wish I could play. But music was always random and never a rhythm made. Maybe one day I'll find enough coins to buy one lol Gobsmacked with that a sound that can be produced

I'm glad Roli decided to give you more airtime, as you have truly mastered this instrument. While other controllers are getting a lot of press lately, I still believe the Seaboard is unmatched--as far as expressive potential (i.e. slide & glide). Hey Roli....Im still waiting on that email for Rise2 discounts for original Seaboard owners ;)

We have some videos about creating tracks in each of the top DAWs with LUMI. They would be relevant for you. We will try to get some RISE specific ones out too.
@@WeAreROLI I absolutely love it. One thing I didn’t expect was performing solos is easier on a Roli than a traditional keyboard. I also love the eco system of synth. A winner in my book.
As a guitarist this thing works exactly how my brain hears and writes, taking guitar licks and transposing to keyboard and midi has always been a pain in the ass because of its 1D functionality. This thing looks pretty epic.
I'd love to see updated Block line or smaller rise. I'm in love with Rise 2 but it's not available where i live and i can't just buy it abroad and bring it back home due to massive size.
Hi, as a MIDI Controller I should be able to control other Midi Instruments as you say, “Within The DAW” such as a Roland TD10 V Drum Kit Module as it also has keyboard sounds and sequencer! Can you please confirm and advise me on how I would use Rise2 as a conventional Midi Keyboard Controller...? I guess I would connect the other Midi Device to the computer and DAW? Simple? LOL... Thank you 🎉
Does any of the Rollie boards have memory to store some sounds for performance and not have to plug into the computer? It would be nice to play at a show with one without dragging a computer or a phone or anything else around. The expressiveness amazes me but I always would like to have something a USB SSD something to plug into it for sounds if it don't store itself.
The keyboard has always been dope in terms of the way it allows a keyboardist to bend, strike, and slide notes etc. For me what’s important for this keyboard, is having access to fresh new sounds consistently that have the attributes of all 5 dimensions. I am not sure the capabilities of programming sounds and how to make sure that all the 5 dimensions are accessible for that sound. Uniqueness is key, if not everyone’s solos and expressions will sound the same.
Very nice keyboard controller. I think of buying it. Will there be an price action, e.g. black Fryday? Does the effect 0nly work on the software you get, or can I use them ALL in e.g. Arturia?
I am super novice to music in general and have an interest in getting a Seaboard Rise 2 as a hobby to play around with learning piano and making music at home. Is this keyboard at all able to be enjoyed by beginners and could be used to learn piano on at the same time?
Good question! That said, I have played the ____ out of my original Seaboard--with no wear issues. There were some quality control issues early on (way back), but Roli was very responsive sending me a replacement until. Absolutely no issues with the "new" unit. Its takes some practice, but now I can switch from a Roli to a standard controller with no issues. Its amazing how your brain adapts.
I'd love a seaboard but I wouldn't even know where to start with composing something with it. How do people do it? Experience with other instruments, high keyboard skills, in-depth knowledge of music theory or all of the above?
Was very excited for mine to arrive. When it got here discovered incompatible with pro tools. That’s on me of course for not being thorough but, incompatible with the industry standard? Be aware
it would be great if you could tell us which sounds you actually use in these examples to follow along. im a little overwhelmed by the masses of sound that are available for a new seaboarder!
@@WeAreROLI Thank you so much! Although there must be a small mistakte in the description - there is no Soundpack "Hybrid Acoustic" as far as I can see - but the "Steel String Guitar" is in the Factory Soundpack? Nor is there a preset called "Hybrid Acoustic", at least I cant find one.
Just more videos with tips, tricks and best setup with sounds like Swam and others.
