I believe this to be a very decent price for what you get in return: a quality keyboard that is revolutionary on its own and Studio + equator2 included. I've paid the same or even more in the 80's and 90's for synths that offered less (doesn't mean i stopped liking them). Bought a Yamaha Montage couple of years ago for €2800 and that also made me scream infinitely expressive, but i haven't regret it for a second and i also believe it was worth it. For the Seaboard Rise 2, I want to thank Roli for their ingenious approach to turn a synth keyboard into a new way of playing which, with the equator2 sounds, lead me into richer sound-scaping possibilities. The only downside for me, is also the monthly DRM check.
To be honest man, all I need to know about the rise seaboard is what vst/kontakt instruments does @marcoparisi use to generate the sound for his guitar tones before he hits any distortion or other sound altering plugins? If he uses equator 2 then what patches?
Why would you create such horrible DRM for your product? Spectrasonics with Omnisphere doesn't have that kind of terrible DRM. There are so many ways to battle piracy, drm is not one of them. Eventually anything and all will be cracked. Only paying customers will suffer.
I just downloaded my equator2 software but when I opened it up it tells me "oh no... no valid license was found" what the hell?? I click on the open roli connect. But nothing happens and nothing changes? Same with the roli studio player. How do I get this crap to work right?
what happens if I don't log in(or connect) at least once per 4 weeks? I can't use them anymore????? Also what if I don't have 'audio midi setup' on my Windows?????? also what happened in 3:51, did u open any programs to start playing sound?? this guide looks good but not very helping. I know seaboard has 5D or whateverD sound but what I need is a guide, not a show off.

I am trying to use Roli2 with Kontakt 7. One video says to set the Roli dashboard to multi channel with the start MIDI channel at 1 and the end MIDI channel at 1. The latest version of Roli Dashboard does not allow me to do that, it stops the end channel at 2. When I try to play a guitar sound on Kontakt from the factory library, I get every other note playing, even though the dashboard shows every key being activated. Very frustrated with this. If anyone knows of a fix for this, please let me know.

I'm curious about the possibility to map LIVE's devices parameters so that every key's different pressure or slide etc responds differently i.e., playing samples, could different pressures per key correspond to different loop positions , or applied filters levels, or reverb size, or delay time etc??? It would be so perfect!!! And what about the big glide around the keyboard? Is it mappable too to that kind of stuff? THX !!! 🎛❤
What was the purpose of making the keys not be distanced like how they are on a piano. I can understand the want to use less space but it makes my hand hurt when I try to play anything with 3 or more fingers on each hand. Maybe I'm playing it wrong but the ergonomics just don't feel that great even if I love everything else.

Is it possible to disable any glide (note bending) and have a chord or note Midi CC mod and expression based on position vertically Bottom to top? or pressure? Trying to map kontakt strings and instruments.

Can you create cc mapping presets for external synths and use it as a standalone midi controller for synth modules? I’m using mainly analog synths would be great to use this as a controller for those without computer.

It's not that I was stuck for long it just seems like a WHY edit. If following along with you on dashboard and not looking at your come hither ( spelled wrong) eyes the whole time how it's edited can be confusing. Just sayin.....Oh sht they need me in the booth. And after actually getting the product and you need help with it it sends you to another copy paste website that leads you to a copy paste answer to your dilemma that doesn't work and then after that you they send you to to AI that makes an appointment for you to get it email and I'm sure the copy paste email again repeating the cycle. The best advice Marco gave was to start with one of two fingers. Don't try to play it like a piano. Keen to see how you grow!
Like you say in 32:26 “you can really get lost in the sounds” summarises what I see and hear as the biggest disadvantage: That smear of sounds.
I had already made the decision to buy one of these until you mentioned the monthly DRM check.

Right!! Weird how most of this videos feature some neato but pretty normal sound effects instead of the screaming rock guitar we are all looking for!
He uses the jazz guitar preset in the Kontakt factory library! Put that through an amp like Guitar Rig and there you have it

Anyone else not have the "We had the same dream" instrument?

100% you can edit each 'gesture curve' individually or just straight turn one of them off.

I'm guessing it'll lock the software and you'd get a prompt to log in or the sounds would not be available for use. Kinda strict if that's the case.

You may lose access to the software. It can easily be rectified by opening the relevant software while online. That will refresh the access token.

Hi. Yes, the sound engine is not onboard, so you need a laptop to run our software or a mobile device with compatible software.
