Boy am I glad I got the Full version of Kontakt! I just love this thing. My favorite UI/UX and the quality of the sounds is awesome! This video blew my mind, because it’s even better than I knew!!! Man only thing I would do to improve it now is to make it easy to add artwork, and sample sounds. Then that will encourage vendors to make their artwork for it.
I never knew how to layer the sounds but as soon as it was mentioned and explained in this video, I immediately pulled up Kontakt and tried it and the very first thing I came up with sounded amazing. I'm SO excited for this! Kontakt is absolutely my favorite plugin. It's not only what it can do and how powerful its libraires are but it's also the fact that it's so much fun to use, it makes me want to keep working and try new things every day. It gets me excited about music like no other plugin.
I watched number 1 of 10 and spent the last 3hrs playing around with different combinations. I'm saving the rest for tomorrow as I have a slow day planned. Sadly, I must devote more time to learning these devices, especially considering I own Komplete 14 Ultimate and several other NI devices. Thanks for the kick in the a_s

A detailed tutorial on using Logic with Kontakt would be great. Include a workflow for calling up new instruments within the same instance. It can take a 1/2 hour to create an instance with your most used instruments, and their output routing associated with Logic’s outputs, but when you begin a new project, or want to use different instruments, there’s a workflow problem trying to figure out how to change/add/subtract instruments fast and efficiently. Also, Kontakt 6 would automatically assign sequential midi channels to each instrument you add, but 7 does not. This is a huge time waster, having to set these manually.
The problem with Logic Pro is that it’s a super buggy and broken piece of software. Creating multi-outputs, track stacks and loading large projects can often trigger some bugs which should’ve been ironed out decades ago… but weren’t.
Some great tips here. However, I wish there was a way to do batch resave for all libraries rather than having to do each individual one. That gets really painful when you have a tonne of libraries.
Rather than selecting a specific library, you can select the main folder where your libraries are saved. For example, I have a folder labeled Output and inside are all of my Output libraries. Kontakt did batch resave on everything inside output
Yeah...right... batch resave makes your library incompatible with earlier version. Kontakt should know where the samples are already without the need for resaving. It is deliberate programming designed to make the older versions of Kontakt unusable. And it 's annoying.

It would have been nice to know/mention that the "Batch resave" is only available in the Stand Alone version of Kontakt 7 now. It is no longer available in the plugin in version of Kontakt 7 at least in the Ableton Live VST3 version. Other than that, lots of great information! Thanks!

Even the 1st theme "Creating a multi" was not possible to reproduce, because my software is missing the mentioned two arrows right of the "view"-button to get to the next slot. Yikes! So much hate in the comments. I guess this shows one of the downsides of being the de facto sample library front end. Lots of use equals lots of, dare I say, niggling complaints. Another problem with that success is that people forget Kontakt is an instrument in itself. I'm just getting into watching videos that get me deeper into its instrument workflow. Can you make a video about how to use maschine with a tractor Kontrol F1 and maschine MK3? Is it possible to connect two F1? I need more pads and control the step secuencer with the F1. I watched the Master class 3 but is not enough information about maschine and F1 integration. Please 🙏🙉

You can! If you look at the GUI @ 01:24, you'll see below brass ensemble it says Output Out 1. You would first create the 8 or 16 stereo out channels in Kontakt like I did at 04:09 and then in the output of each library, select with virtual output you want the instrument to be routed to. In your DAW create the audio channel and select the corresponding channel.
What happend when it doesn´t show any output when i follow the steps. it olnly shows #1 (st.1) and not any of the # numbers and out. Should i reinstall Kontakt or how else can i fix it? THX

The amazing sounds that N.I produces are just wonderful. I just wish they would allow us to export files as MONO vs always exporting to Stereo. I, like other folks I know that use this app and Maschine don’t finish tracks inside N.I apps; we finish in our DAWS. Please allow us to export in Mono. I’m sure this is just a tweak on your side/. 😅
Why is batch-resave even needed if I haven't changed the path of the library? I mean, Kontakt clearly does know where the libraries are since it finally loads the files. So, what does it actually do? With libraries that I have moved, I get an actual error prompting me to redirect the path. But batch re-save... Why?

Most of the libraries are 80 gig and they are never going to load. I don't see how a chat will help, to be honest- I'm just kind of stuck.

Have you tried using Instrument banks for this? I do have template where I have multiple articulations of a string instruments in one instance of Kontakt but have gotten some use doing this with Instrument banks
I would like a function where I can save my sorting of the library.. I have to install the library so often since the last years, and ever time I have to sort All instruments again and again... I like the Pianos at the top, then orchestra, guitars and so on... And it costs so many time to sort the again...
Kontakt 7 has been unuseable for months now....latest updates have lead to very slow loading times....over 3 or 4 minutes to load standalone. Instruments in Maschine are unuseable as well thanks to this. Lots of complaints on the forums because apparently the issue is scanning of files on every startup. I checked this because i have everything installed externally....hatd drive off kontakt loads quick....but with it on...oh boy.

@@NativeInstruments There's a long support thread already. All of us are using the latest version and apparently there is another fix coming but no ETA. Just a note than several fixes have been supposedly implemented but the problem remains the same. For whatever reason Kontakt is scanning every single instrument, every single time before it loads standalone. This can take up to 5 minutes for me. If I turn off my hard drive, it loads up and then I have to turn on my hard drive and refresh Kontakt. But this approach doesn't work for Maschine where the instruments themselves use Kontakt to load. No point in scrolling the presets as it takes a long time to land each one...really defeating the purpose of having those presets.
Kontakt & Drums are so so bad. Maybe only in FL... I like the libraries which NI offer, but the routing is so so bad. I'd rather open kontakt 5 times for the individual drums than re-route everything.
I've been using kontakt from the start and since 7 it's broken and with each update it's not totally unusable..I've asked for help and no joy. It's got worse since they added the built in store I have now gone back too k6 and using komplete control for other libraries.

The Latency in Kontakt is horrible!! I have all my library in the main HD with apple M2 Max and it works very bad , specially Guitars libraries, nylon, strum, etc... I had to stop using it
