Glad to see the extra long voice recording demo from the mic. Too many TH-camrs only do one for 10-20 seconds, not long enough to get a great impression.
First thing I ever bought on Massdrop, back when it was still called Massdrop.
Other than wishing that the earcups were just a TAD wider, I have no other complaints about this beast!
Any issues wrong with shipping? I’ve heard they take a long time sometimes.

I don't remember what my case was to be honest, but I think it mainly depends on if they are in stock or not when the drop ends.

This was the headset that opened my eyes up to the world of audio. I went from a crappy Corsair gaming headset to these and was like... Wow... Music from my computer can sound this good... Wait!?! It can get better?? Now I've got HD 6XX and a HE 4XX a mod mic and Mayflower Arc. The pc37x collect dust on my shelves.

My pc37x broke/malfunctioned in about 7 months of use. I have never dropped them, and when they were not in use, I keep them in a drawer that is layered with foam. One day, the audio started playing out of the left ear cup only (I determined that the problem was with the headphones themself and not the wire or my pc). The good thing though, is that I explained my situation to drop (mass drop), and I returned my headphones for free, and am waiting on a replacement soon. I love these headphones, and I love that I could just replace them without buying a warranty or without paying the full price of new ones.
that's worrying, I live in asia so I don't think I can get free returns that easily.... You sure it wasn't a driver/ windows problem?

These are by far my favorite headset. Been a giant fan of them since Hardware Canuck reviewed them.
Have owned these for over 2 years, super comfortable, amazing sound from the cans and the mic. Have thrown them, dropped them, slapped em in my bag with heaps of other garbage and they’re still solid to this day.
Had the game one for 3 years and I abused it and it still works

Absolutely loved my unit! I had to stop using it since it squeezed my head horribly, my dad uses it and he loves it though! Definitely recommended if you like the clamping force!

I used these for a couple weeks before I had to return them. Clamp was just too tight but the audio quality was the best I've experienced on a "headset". Much better than the Arctis 7 they replaced. Moved to the SHP9500 and vmoda boom pro and couldn't be happier.

Couldn't agree more with all your opinions on the Game One's or this pair. I've had the Game One's since they came out and loved them, never let me down. I only recently upgraded to the 58x Jubilee's a few months ago. Great review brother ✌
I've had the 58x for about 2 months now and will never go back to a garbage gaming headset ever again. I have the MASSDROP O2 + SDAC DAC/AMP on the way and cant wait to give these bad boys some power. Great video again Brian!!!!

Solid headset. The clamping force is the only reason I’m no longer using them. Great video as always man!

I still love my GSP301s. Fantastic for the price, even better used. Made me realize that the hearing loss i have doesnt make high end audio sound the same as lower end like I thought it did.

You give the audio details in a layman's terms sort of way that I can understand (most headset/headphone reviewers are audiophiles and don't break it down as well), AND you do a mic test that's longer than 10-15 seconds. Great video as always, Brian!

@BadSeedTech I noticed you mentioned that you previously moved from the Sound Blaster G5 to the Mayflower ARC and was blown away. I currently have the Sound Blaster G6; wondering if I should sell it and get a Mayflower Arc instead. Would there be a real noticeable difference in performance between the two? I'm kinda new to the AMP/DAC scene. I don't really use any gaming features on the G6 btw.

THANK YOU BRIAN. I am not an audiophile AT ALL. I caved in and bought these. They arrived today, and holy shit. They blow my Astro A40 and HyperX cloud II out of the water. I tested them in gaming and I can better tell where enemies are. And in music, wow. I literally had the biggest smile when I listened to music. It was something I had never experienced before. I think it was largely because of the open back design. And this isn’t even an audiophile grade headset. I can only imagine what music can sound like on crazy audiophile setups. Absolutely love every aspect of this headset. Can’t believe I fell for the marketing bs and bought “7.1 gaming” headsets.

Ever thought about checking out the Burson play? It’s on sale right now for less than the Arc and personally I feel it’s a better overall package. Although you do loose the bass boost.
Any interest in looking at HeSuVI (for sound virtualization) and comparing it to the GSX? The main advantage seems to be that you can use any DAC amp to drive high quality headphones but use/try various virtualization effects (including the GSX's, Atmos, Sound Blaster, etc)?

using sound blasterx ae5 paring with game one, sound so powerful and rich with great volume, I cannot find a wireless, USB and 7.1 headset to compete with it.

@@brandongarza2585 Yeah you can plug it straight into a controller with just the headphone side of the cable. I bought a small cable that does the same all in one but it's not necessary. Works great I love the headset.
I bought the Sennheiser PC37X because of this review. Absolutely love them. However, like you stated in the video on pairing it with a dedicated DAC amp, which do you recommend: Sennheiser GSX1000, Creative SoundblasterX G6, and even the EVGA NU Audio? With budget out of the question between these three, what would be your choice ranked from 1-3? Thanks bro, great work!

Those of you who stand by closed back for tournaments: pro cs players all use in ear buds under noise cancelling headsets. Just go for open back unless your room is constantly noisy. If its good enough for them its good enough for you, especially if all you do is go to a few lans a year.

Hey Brian, I know this is an old video but I'm dipping my "LEG" into this world as in I want these headsets (already ordered) and I'm getting a schiit stack modi3+/magni combo. I have some other audiophile headphones I'll be trying on the stack but can I plug these pc37x into the schiit stack without any adapters for the mic to work?

For gaming, music, and possibly phone calls (in that order of priority), which would you recommend between the Game One/PC37x and the SHP9500 (plus mod mic)? You can bass boost your sound if your not a big fan of the mild bass
