The 7.7 sounds like a day's worth of progression, but since the hardcore among us have multiple Outlanders of various factions and persuasions, we could easily get a week's-worth of action out of it! It should prove a ripe source of conquest points - never mind the regular conquest-battering we'll still be doing with our regular characters! Oh, Darth Malgus would be proud of us!
lore wise, nothing happened in 2022 2023 or 2024, and I'm a stark defender of most of the lore that people don't like, but legacy of sith and the writers are the biggest problem(for me).
You may be right about the story releasing much later than we'd hoped, but it could just be us being pessimistic (and rightly so). I am hoping that we get our story in January, alongside some news about 7.7. Worst case in my optimistic point of view? The 7.6 story was delayed until 7.7 but mixed in with the 7.7 story, giving us a longer and crunchy update for us to dive into.
I really do not care when SWTOR updates its story. There are so many other games out there that I am enjoying. Diablo. Dragon Age. Total War: Warhammer 3. To name just a few. If SWTOR puts out new (and significant) story, then I will come back. But I am done running around doing the same content for cosmetics. And I will not be spending money in the Cartel Market. All that remains is if I will keep being a sub. With the Canadian dollar falling below the 70 cent mark, budgetary reasons may force my hand. Sad, but that is life in this crazy world. Surprise story patch is about as likely as a surprise post on the character modernization thread. lol First quarter gives them a pretty big window to play with. I'm sure by this time next year maybe we'll hit 7.9 or 7.9.1 or 7.9a, 7.9b, 7.9c, etc...
hmm so 7.6 will be Season of Gree with last 5 months (due to unforeseen circumstances) feel same way about story and 7.7 so its summer now will get new Galactic Season 8 (some rehashed - reskinned stuff + More Cartel Items) and now after all this time we get more story (not going to say they finish it... based on the past... that take like 2 more patches and another 6 months) i mean think about it we have 8 characters so must be waiting on what 20 people to repeat some voice lines --- kinda crazy what takes them 2+ yrs to finish so yup come fall 2025 i will log in play the maybe 1.5 - 2 hours of story then

Aside from my sub, they aren't getting my money for their season event or the Cartel Market. They don't deserve it for not listening to the players after receiving constructive criticism from the PTS. They're holding character names hostage to keep your sub going. That's wrong. To me it sounds like a shift in focus The art modernization is pretty much to attract new younger players There’s a lot of content for new players and by the time they go through all the content, it’s to be expected that they spend some money through the cartel store and maybe even sub for a few month It’s EA after all : minimum effort, maximum money
@ art update, dx12 implementation and how they revamped the skill tree, simplified things, this feels a lot like getting the game ready for consoles, reaching wider audience for cartel $$$
Seeing the real state of the game and how they are developing the content, the most likely thing is that they will release the story in March. I just hope it is not a 2 or 3 hour story like they have been doing with the last chapters. If they delayed this update, I hope it comes with a quantity. decent gameplay time
@BoomyNation yea they should just add 2 huge story patches a year and some kotor style or just less focused cutsecne focus side story for instance get rid of this sith or thiss moff get rid of this republic general of jedi war general ot republic comander or some cult or gang side stories it would keep people entertained and less bored and it cost devs almost no effort since the cutsecnes aren't that heavy focused on hell or without cutsecnes where you characters just do some small voice lines like you do in some areas with your companion on some missions where you just randomly talk with them this would atleast fix 2 big core problems more side story and things to do and maby for end game some fun 8 man mini bosses with simple mechanic.s it doesn't need to have hard mechanics just some simple stuff for instance 2 explosions on the ground stand under shield move from right side of the room to the left thats it no need for 20 phases just a simple tank and spank boss in a instance in one of the old worlds can be fun bosses like a giant kyrat dragon or some hutt in a robot many lecacy bosses where you fight baras and thanaton or jadus as a 8 man boss

I stopped caring about the story tbh. While I loved this game due to their character "modernization' completely ruining my characters, my immersion of role-playing I unsubbed. Because the game became absolutely unplayable for me. also seeing the forums with Eric saying they won't convert, and complete radio silence. I just want a toggle to remove the changes because I hate them and it ruined the game for me. if I don't hear any news of a toggle for the game guess will have to uninstall. Just this update with their "character modernization/aging pc's, npcs and comps" ruined the whole game for me. unless if there is news of a toggle to revert the changes. I'm out it's been a fun 8 years, but I'm out (for now). Also want a toggle so players can have choice, because some people like the new look, and I don’t want them to loose it. Jsut a toggle or at least news of one being worked on is all I ask for.
I mostly replay the class stories now. If I go past class stories I complete Echoes of Oblivion and then stop. That's been a good ending for most of my alts. I just find the Mando stuff so boring. One playthrough of it has been enough. I haven't even done the last 2 mando story updates. I watched some videos on YT and just didn't find it interesting enough to entice me to come back to that story after sweeping floors on Voss. I may finish it one day when they end it.

With that said, I point back to your video Game Update 7.5 Gets a Release Date!! In that video through research, I provided a timeline for May 2024 all the way until December 2025. And just as a refresher here's what I wrote then, and every time there's been an update I've reposted this to your videos May/June of 2024: 7.5 (and the start of PVP season which will run for 4 months, ending roughly September 17th), was already released but used as a starting point Late June/Early July: Q2 Executive Newsletter, and will preview through September (Q3) and mention a little tease for the end of the year July: Galactic Season 6 Ends Prediction: Livestream for 7.5.1 either August 7th or August 14th.
Man IDK for some reason this seemed like maybe something you could cover, but it seemed inevitable that we get reskins. One of the outfits that surprised me was the remnant inquisitors lords robe set. The textures on that set are brilliant and worlds ahead of what the game has in general and it shows really bad. Buit not so bad now that they redid skin because my chiss actually looks like it fits in better. If you notice, people aren't even buying outfits with lower resolutions. So naturally it is showing the playerbase wants better textures, and it is time we have that. That is one of the things that always kept me from playing, the game always looked like a joke. Granted I didn't play WOW though either and I guess that smoothed out peoples desires or something but yeah that game has always pretty much looked like shit too. If you look at fortnite which is pretty much the standard for lower res cartoony looking graphics, it is miles better than this. Some of the loot I get from older planets leveling alts is like WTF why is this even in the game it is so horrible, and to think this stuff was ever desirable in 2008 maybe, but 2011 ish? People voting with their wallets, and they don't want low res shit and so it will all continue to improve. If you look at a lot of the hot items lately they been adding chrome, pearlescent, metallic, and matte and that I bet is the only thing alot of people will wear and it just looks so out of place. Which brings me back to where I started, this Remnant inquisitors outfit is mainly matte textures. I know it was tough on some of the people and change is hard but the rewards that everyone wants have good textures. I am not sure how they got away with some of these pets and mounts in the past but I just don't see that happening. Even with the life day assets. Some might collect them. Or a rare item might still look like that, but people don't ahve it out. lol Thoughts?

This game is becoming an ordinary world, nothing more because it's crap, there's nothing in it than since Swtor came out for the first time, they even repeat the same mistakes, they didn't draw any conclusions, including modernizing the game to a 64-bit and 128-bit engine and a new graphics engine, Unreal engine 5 or another, the content is just funny gibberish and a terrible advertisement for cheap dog food. There is potential in this game, but definitely not with this Broadsword team or with the corporation and supervision of Ea and in the further part of the hypocrites Disney+.

The problem is, and I agree with you, is that if that happened. EA would just shut it down. They just need to trickle in new blood. Or at least attempt to rise from the ashes.
I'm getting tired of all these story updates I want an expansion not another story update, but at least they killed the 8 man premades in pvp.

With that said, I point back to your video Game Update 7.5 Gets a Release Date!! In that video through research, I provided a timeline for May 2024 all the way until December 2025. And just as a refresher here's what I wrote then, and every time there's been an update I've reposted this to your videos
May/June of 2024: 7.5 (and the start of PVP season which will run for 4 months, ending roughly September 17th), was already released but used as a starting point
Late June/Early July: Q2 Executive Newsletter, and will preview through September (Q3) and mention a little tease for the end of the year
July: Galactic Season 6 Ends Prediction: Livestream for 7.5.1 either August 7th or August 14th.
Not rocket science you want people to come back put out new content anything else is just fluff & stuff.
Man IDK for some reason this seemed like maybe something you could cover, but it seemed inevitable that we get reskins. One of the outfits that surprised me was the remnant inquisitors lords robe set. The textures on that set are brilliant and worlds ahead of what the game has in general and it shows really bad. Buit not so bad now that they redid skin because my chiss actually looks like it fits in better. If you notice, people aren't even buying outfits with lower resolutions. So naturally it is showing the playerbase wants better textures, and it is time we have that. That is one of the things that always kept me from playing, the game always looked like a joke.
Granted I didn't play WOW though either and I guess that smoothed out peoples desires or something but yeah that game has always pretty much looked like shit too. If you look at fortnite which is pretty much the standard for lower res cartoony looking graphics, it is miles better than this.
Some of the loot I get from older planets leveling alts is like WTF why is this even in the game it is so horrible, and to think this stuff was ever desirable in 2008 maybe, but 2011 ish?
People voting with their wallets, and they don't want low res shit and so it will all continue to improve. If you look at a lot of the hot items lately they been adding chrome, pearlescent, metallic, and matte and that I bet is the only thing alot of people will wear and it just looks so out of place.
Which brings me back to where I started, this Remnant inquisitors outfit is mainly matte textures. I know it was tough on some of the people and change is hard but the rewards that everyone wants have good textures. I am not sure how they got away with some of these pets and mounts in the past but I just don't see that happening. Even with the life day assets. Some might collect them. Or a rare item might still look like that, but people don't ahve it out. lol

Lets be honest Star wars live service game in the vain for the division or destiny or a new MMO would kill SWTOR overnight.
I really like the class stories. I pretty much just replay them.
This game is becoming an ordinary world, nothing more because it's crap, there's nothing in it than since Swtor came out for the first time, they even repeat the same mistakes, they didn't draw any conclusions, including modernizing the game to a 64-bit and 128-bit engine and a new graphics engine, Unreal engine 5 or another, the content is just funny gibberish and a terrible advertisement for cheap dog food. There is potential in this game, but definitely not with this Broadsword team or with the corporation and supervision of Ea and in the further part of the hypocrites Disney+.
