    @somegadgetguy Excellent Video Juan!!! Have you thought about perhaps comparing some of different ONE UI /color os / Material U to Hyper OS ? It would be interesting getting your take of things... if it already exists my bad lol😅

      I'm thinking of taking a look at that, especially with how refined the Open has proven to be for custom UI elements. I need to play around a bit more before i feel competent on all fronts though.

    10:27 that's why you're my fav tech youtuber, no One absolutely no one talked about how stable EMUI is, always complaining about stupid minor inconveniences , i have mate 20 bought in 2019 it's 2024 and it's still running like day 1 in battery life, smoothness ... everything, no company have this kind of longevity in stability and battery life.

      God that one pissed me off when Huawei started leaving the USA. People get panning EMUI on the stock design, ignored some of the ability to theme, and completely disregarded the optimizations. All the while praising Samsung, who couldn't keep their skin from tanking powerful phones in the day.

      @@SomeGadgetGuy Yeah exactly, Samsung one UI is good, but it's too heavy and not optimized for A M series at all if you ever tried their budget phones you'll see how garbage they're.

    I own the Xiaomi 12T, and I noticed an immediate boost in performance, gaming (especially in COD mobile), and battery life with HyperOS. The new lock screen customization is a welcome addition, but I wish they kept the water memory animation.

      My personal sim is on T-mo primarily because they tend to have slightly better support for international phones, but 5G has been a mess. We're only just now getting SLIGHTLY more consistent support for sub6 5g on mediatek modems.

    just downloaded and install the hyper os..... to be honest? xiaomi have desire to make it better coz other than some "makeover" there aren't any major changes, eg the settings have not changed much at all most to most 5% and again just a makeover. worse it's still UI unfriendly. surprisingly the download is 5.2gb and I seriously why it's so heavy and it's even more bytes than samsung one UI 6. so sadly final word - it's as good as not changing or upgrading at all. real disappointment!!!

    HyperOS lacks continuity in the animations and designs, plus it isn't close to Harmony OS when it comes to design, performance, and animations.
    Though, overall, it's a decent upgrade. Atleast it's not OneUI where it's horridly optomized.
    Like, OneUI on budget to midrange devices run like utter crap in comparison to smartphones running other skins or OS's (HOS...debatable). Your OneUI device could be scoring well over 700k in antutu, and get utterly demolished by a Chinese phone under $200 that scores around 400K.
    Which brings me to say that I wish Samsung delivered a better UX. Plus the recent changes with OneUI 6 to the control centre made no sense. And in some cases, it somehow caused the phone running it to slow down too.

    • @SomeGadgetGuy
      @SomeGadgetGuy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Oh same. It's a consistent frustration that Samsung doesn't draw more criticisms. Especially for how many mid range and entry level phones they sell. Like, who should be saddled with an Exynos running OneUI 😬

    • @negativeplayer4446
      @negativeplayer4446 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SomeGadgetGuy The amount of phones Samsung sells in the low to mid range is pretty astonishing. It sucks to see its users stuck with a software that's poorly optimized... I have both the A14 and the PocoM3 and the A14 ran worse.
      Aside from this, have you also noticed some downgrades in some of the mid to budget devices?
      I recently got a hold of a Redmi note 12 and somehow...its cameras were a lot worse than my previous Poco M3, with barely any detail within the shots. The moment I zoomed in, I was questioning whether that video I saw where the Galaxy A53 somehow had worse cameras than the older A52 was actually legit.

    Honestly it's another useless icon redo and animation revamp. It adds absolutely no value to anyone's user experience. And it's another gimmick designed to distract from a slow down in any real or meaningful innovation.

I would have liked a little more originality but at the same time i can't say i'm bothered by these types of OS designs.
