Always liked your reviews Juan. Will you recommend X100 pro with Funtouch Os for long term use like for 3 years? And can you recommend the best compact phone with possible best camera setup in that premium category?
Hi Juan, i got my Vivo X80Pro two years ago... And your review played big role! Thank you! Vivo packed a lot of crazy and useful features on their flagship phone, especially for the cameras! Their zeiss-potrait mode is definitely the best. As for the x100 pro, i think I'm gonna miss the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor... It works amazing in my x80pro
I could care less about pointless camera AI features like being able to move a subject around after the fact which takes 30 seconds to do one photo while it goes online to fetch server power. What I actually care about are two things: 1. The Zeiss T* coating they use actually works. Most phone cameras have HORRIBLE flare directly into the sun. These don't. That's the Zeiss coating doing its job. 2. The optics on that telephoto camera. Most flagship level phones have pretty solid 24mm main sensors and lenses. What can you do for me at 100mm? Most phones at that range produce watercolor paintings. The X100 Pro isn't just "oh it's a little bit better than iPhone and Samsung at 5-10X zoom" - it's destroying them. Like night/day better.
These ultra phones from Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo are so impressive that I really want to buy one. My only concern is the slow notification due to strict background management and the low support for long term software update. Can you give me some info on these points? Thanks
You just need go to app battery setting just put allow background activity and those app will have fast notification. I’ve use Vivo X90 Pro plus last year now Oppo Find X7 Ultra i have instant notification just allow the app background activity.
I don't have any problems with notifications on any of my Xiaomi, Poco, or other foreign phones. Like someone else said you have to go into settings sometimes, which admittedly is somewhat of a pain. I think most of these companies are giving at least 2-3 years of Android updates now.
Bro i have purchased OnePlus 12 but suddenly i noticed there is rattling sound from camera side when mobile is shaken Bro can you check with your OnePlus 12 Is there is any thing or it's ois
Yup. You can test LIGHTLY by turning on the camera and see if the noise is minimized. You're floating a MUCH larger lens these days, and OIS is a powered feature, so most phones turn that off when the camera is not in use.
I really want one of those dimensity handsets just because it has the 4 Ultra cores, stops a lot of the faff with govenors in single thread oriented tasks on android.
I have been keen on getting the s24 as my next phone, im on smsung A32, but after seeing videos about this phone i might be having a change of heart. That camera is legit iphone killer!
Hey, I have a couple quick questions for you. What network were you using this phone on? Does it work with Android auto in the United States? How would you compare this camera against the pixel 8 Pro?
Juan why is it that the phone is beating out your Threadripper + 4070Ti workstation when it comes to rendering? It doesn't make sense to me. I mean even if you don't use the 4070Ti's hardware encoders and solely rely on the CPU - the Threadripper still has insane multithreaded performance to crush the render. Something is not adding up.
When you optimize software for a platform, you can deliver some incredible results. Techies really have NO clue how much compute power they leave on the table just doing basic phone stuff on premium phones. I'm not exaggerating when I say my gaming test is now "can this play alien isolation at max graphics over 100fps". Of course, platforms matter too, and Davinci Resolve is a MUCH more robust editing suite, but there's also a lot more overhead on a full PC. It's a really complicated conversation, to figure out exactly all the specific reasons why, but if you're cranking out short form video, chances are really good, you get better performance per dollar on a phone.
In 6:01 we see MEG X399 CREATION motherboard which means at best he has second generation Threadripper, looking at some old video he talked about Threadripper 2990WX getting released next week but the one that he wants will be released in october so that means at best he got Threadripper 2970WX so he has 6 year old 24 core processor in there. There is now 5th gen of Threadripper. If you compare that 2970WX which was second best at the time to current second best 7985WX it would get smoked. Even if you compare processor with same core count which would be 7965WX it would still get smoked (looking at multicore results 7965wx get 3 times result of 2970wx). So that smartphone is not that powerfull, he just got old computer. In that old video I mentioned he talked about future-proofing his computer and I understand why, at the time cpu market was stagnated for years by Intel just refreshing old processors with newer names, but as it turns out it would be better for him to get good AM4 motherboard and switch cpu every 2 years. 2970WX was at launch 1299$ for that he could get ryzen 9 3950X for $749 and later switch to ryzen 9 5950X for $799. That's 250$ more but a) he could sell 3950X b) save on motherboard as MEG X99 CREATION was 500$ and for AM4 you could get solid board for 160$-200$. I don't know this channel, just popped in for OP 12 review, but I'm guessing he is doing this for dramatic effect, notice that he never mentions the fact that this CPU is very old nor the specific Threadripper model, so he is not lying but it's not exacly true truth.
Watching this on my Vivo X100 Pro with visual enhancement enabled..and I favor this screen over Hwawei P60 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Xperia Pro-I
@@faisalratul8778If you mostly take portraits with your phone, then you better avoid Vivo x100 Pro. Its AI algorithms are too visible and harsh for human faces (that grim cocktail of beautification and sharpening). Samsung s24 Ultra is not that aggressive. The current portrait king is Oppo Find x7 Ultra though. If you are going to use it mostly for street photography and landscapes (like me) and use it as a travel companion to your mirrorless full frame camera (on which you take your valuable portraits) then go ahead and buy Vivo x100 Pro.
@@faisalratul8778 over the pixel 8 pro yes. I can live without the google calling features…since the vivo has a voice to answer and reject calls and has WiFi calling and VoLTE over T-Mobile network..(band 41) so I get 5G despite the version I got is (CN model)Origin OS, which I like btw. The recent update enabled 4K 30/60 on the front facing camera. Face unlock works well in the dark compared to the Pixel 8 Pro where you do need light. I can’t speak for the S24 Ultra though (the last Samsung phone I used was the S22 ultra), haven’t played with that one yet..I do prefer flat screen over curved but the screen on the vivo is really pleasing to my eyes that I go to it for viewing content and willing to take it over flat screen. Cons…hmmm…in the two weeks since having it..at the moment just the curved screen. If i notice anything down the road I’ll give an update.
Hi, I am using Vivo X100 Pro and facing an issue with the camera fogging up frequently. Initially, there were no problems for two to three months, but the issue started occurring after one to three weeks. The service center says it is a common problem and that all cameras with ZEISS brand lenses experience this. They mention that it can be temporarily fixed by unlocking it, but this may cause issues with its IP rating. Additionally, they mention there is no guarantee that the problem won't recur. You know how to fix this issue?
The cameras are solid. In terms of hardware, it's much closer to the sensor level performance of something like the OnePlus 12. Should make for a very good all-rounder point and shoot camera.
Right now I have s22 plus and am thinking to buy a new phone with a better camera. Which phone would you recommend s24 ultra or vivo x100 pro for taking photos and video and editing?
He gave you the response right here. You can also see it all around the internet. It is NOT CLOSE. Of course, if you like a bit better build quality, screen quality, OS reliability, and would fancy an S Pen, then there's only one choice. But for photo and especially video, no phone can beat Vivo, they have a dedicated chip just to treat the image coming from the sensor. All other brands rely solely on their processor baked in ISP. This thing is an insane machine, will be the best by far until they release the X100 Ultra, and if the leaks are truth, the iPhone 16 Pro might have a slight chance of dethroning the X100 Ultra, but still not likely
@mriatravel Oppo has been thrown off the European market because of legal issues and for some reason that made them stop competing against Vivo. They were reportedly even making their own processor to replace Qualcomm and gave up because of those issues. They even gave up on their own ISP, the Marisilicon X, which gave the phone better low light capabilities. It was never as good as Vivo for video but it was better for photos. Right now Oppo is like Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the best hardware on the sensors side but they lost that edge that made them compete with X100 Pro. Of course, if you are not bothered by Chinese software and you want a really great phone, the Find X7 Ultra is still that. You can get it for 880€ and it has all the european bands that the Chinese X100 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra are missing. The cheapest I've seen the X100 Pro global version is 1015€. You can find the S23 Ultra for 950€, but the camera hardware is not nearly as good. Sorry for talking about Europe, but that's what I am familiar with, S23 Ultra prices might be lower. And S24 Ultra is basically the same phone, only more expensive because its "new"
The X100 Pro was released recently in Europe in 2 countries only, Austria and Czech Republic, priced at €1,199 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage (1SKU only). One of the major downsides, IMHO, is that Oppo only provides 3 major OS updates.
The OP12 is a very good overall camera system, and it's aiming for a nice easy point-and-shoot HDR kinda vibe. The Vivo is a more aggressive "frame, compose, produce" kinda system, with more robust features in app, and every camera sensor/lens is better than the comparable OP.
@@SomeGadgetGuy thank you Juan. Watched your videos for some years now. It's hard because I can't see a global variant in the UK. The Chinese version is quite a lot cheaper than the OP12.
Yeah. That can be tricky. You can often flash an international ROM if you're concerned about a Chinese ROM, but it might not have the same band support for your carrier. Even though it's pricier, I tend to recommend folks buy international if they can.
I really wish phones from foreign companies like Vivo especially were much easier to find and buy in the US. Be nice if they started releasing global versions of them too. Other than Giztop I really can't think of another place to buy them comfortably. Even my favorite US foreign phone importer doesn't usually have Vivo phones.
Hi Juan. Have you tested it's desktop mode capability? I'm a very heavy user of Samsung Dex and thinking to switch over to Vivo due to its superb camera
Hot take: some android phones of today beat the latest iphone but with the marketing and the slosh of tech reviewers saying otherwise makes the hopes of android geeks just a pipe dream.
Hypothetically, if Vivo X100 Pro had a launch in North America, do you think that it will sell well? Or just disregarded by most of the market? Would love to hear your opinion on this, Juan!
Thanks for the review! Does the phone's video editing stock app include: changing the speed of the video (slower or faster), editing brightness, contrast, shadows, etc., and adding text on the video?
I saw some debate some saying x100 pro China rom is better than x100 pro Global and some says otherwise. So I am lost. Which one is better and why? Pros and Cons? Issue with China rom Origin vs Global rom Funtouch.
Yeah, I lived Lao 20 years and came back stateside a few years ago and I was like oh my gosh still there’s none of these phones here. Yeah I used to buy honor phones and I also like the Vivo brand back in the day I also had a Huawei
How does the video quality seem to you? I’m not sure of you talk about it on patreon but the video quality seems exceedingly good for an android phone.
Have it since release... its just an amazing beast. The camera wows me all the time and you can clearly see that apple and samsung are sleeping in that regard. Give me the pro plus with 3D fingerprint again. Flat display, better speakers and it would be pure perfection.
Was just watching your video about vivo x70 pro and bracketed night photos. Not many people are mentioning it on the x100 pro, is it still a thing on vivo phones?
@@SomeGadgetGuyreally glad to hear that! 99% of other reviewers never mentioned it so i got worried vivo ditched it. What i find really nice about vivos overexposured night photos is that you get much better photo to work with, when you tone down everything you will be getting a much better result than if you had a "realistic" straight shot out of the phone. And thank you for all your reviews 👏😀, you are one of the best out there.
Thanks for this video Juan! Was looking for a review like this especially about being able to edit videos on phone and using the phone mostly for photography and video shooting.
Already having my vivo x80 pro, brought on the facts you shared on this channel. Great phone amazing portraits but while using camera app, battery drain is huge and phone gets hot like hell and phone freezes . Does anyone have experience with the Vivo at concerts? I have a rock band and would like to film our upcoming concerts. How good are the built-in microphones? Is there a lot of clipping? In other words, is it fun to record concerts with it and listen to the audio recording afterwards? Thanks in advance!

Vivo really got crazy on the X100 Pro And a good thing, for those who got sad for no 4k on the front camera,it looks like there's gonna be a future update that will add 4k 30 and 60fps.
@@monsieuroculto7211 People who are beta testing the Origin OS which is Vivo's chinese OS on the X100 Pro got an update that allow 4k 30 and 60 fps. This means at some point the X100 Pro will get this on the chinese model and the global model.
Awesome video. Juan how does the x100 manage raw and large res/50 mp photos? One thing I'm incredibly impressed with my px 8 pro is it's ability to spit out a balanced 50mp raw file with no visible edge distortion or discoloration. My 11 ultra, as impressive as the sensor was, used to manage that very poorly, also the 200 mp samples from s23/24 I see online are cringe. I imagine this was a processing issue, do the modern 1-inchers fare better in the regard? I only wish my pixel could do more than 3-4 photos in a row before preventing me from taking any more lol, it's not exactly a burst shooter - I imagine x100pro doesn't have that issue.
I want to buy this but we just got the X90 Pro+ last year :'( my and my wife just share a single camera phone, to be practical. maybe I'll wait for + or ultra version of this
I own 90 pro+, and for sure will skip 100 series. I see no point to switch to 100 pro, and 100 pro+ may not exist at all. Plus, 90pro+ is a great deal right now
When you review phones that arent designed for the US (ie. Vivo, Xiaomi, etc), what carrier are you using? I've found most ATT, Verizon are whitelisting only "certified" phones (ie. phones they make money on). T-mobile is the only place that I seem to still be able to use my Huawei P30 Pro. Most phones don't include LTE band 71 which is fairly important for T-mobile. Yes, some bands are supported but reception is noticeably worse. Plus you can't benefit from carrier aggregation.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Have you had any cell reception issues using the non-US phones? I realize it depends on your area. Also, do the MVNO's follow the same whitelist as T-MO? I haven't checked all the phones with their IMEI checker. Sometimes it's hard to find an IMEI to check with (ie. vivo, xiaomi, oppo, etc)
I think the big question for me would be is this THE logical upgrade from the LG V60? Looking forward to the camera comparison (or at least what we can view for free here on youtube)! ❤
That front camera is crazy. I can't believe how great that phone's camera is. My only concern with Vivo is if they have the same option to limit the charging to 80% like the OnePlus 12. Do they have it?
Nope. No cap on charging. That would be nice too. With fast charging tho, I just tend to not wait for it to reach 100%. Not a solution if I have to manage it manually, but it is tha habit I'm in with real fast charging phones.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Gotcha, thanks for the clarification! I guess the OnePlus 12 is still my main choice. How big are the OnePlus 12 and Vivo X100 Pro camera differences by the way? Any plan for a comparison?
I think Vivo is doing exactly what LG was known for: aggressive innovation what other brands used to take 2 years to catch up; but the difference is their marketing strategy is better than that of LG which made them fall. After my LG G3, this is my second best phone. It's a complete beast for the bucks you pay. In every camera comparison video I love it crushing and eating big brands DXOMark false table toppers 😅
I wish i had the budget to justify buying multiple devices for different uses. Id love to have a phone like this, but practically, a Pixel is more useful to me for my typical usage. But it sure would be nice to be able to grab one of these on the way out for an outing with the family.
I'm always worried about the Dimensity 9300 thermal management since there's no efficiency cores. But when I looked at how the chipset performs in GSMArena review, I don't need to worry about it. Definitely in my list.
You my friend are one of the realest, if not THE realest mf on youtube for phone reviews. I was starting to lose hope due to reviewers just doing it for the sake of getting a review out/getting some money from companies and having pre-determined biases but your biases are towards a phone that actually does the job. If a phone does the job you like it and is that really bias or is the phone just amazing? Anyways, what I mean to say is, you're doing a great job my friend and your reviews make more sense than most. Keep it up!
As a first time viewer on this channel and having watched a ton of X100 pro videos on youtube, I must say I didn't expect this kind of analysis of the phone's hardware, I was actually searching for it. The comparision of the video rendering between the Snapdragon and the Mediatek is surely an eyeopener. Other youtubers usually read out specs and stat the obvious geekbench, antutu scores etc etc which I can find in an article if I google too, which makes the video boring and doesn't actually show true capabilities except from the camera. About the 4K video rendering, are those shot in 4k 30 and did you apply any filters and effects and other stuff? Can you make a video showing if we can edit 4K60 videos in capcut? Thanks a lot for the indepth analysis. Keep it coming. 👍
My sample videos are shot from a Panasonic lumix g85. 4K/30 at 100Mbps, and then rendered at 50Mbps. So the phone is also taxed with some compression work. I don't work in capcut, but I thought it supported 4K60? I didn't like it because it would do a processing scan before adding files to the timeline.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Thank you for the prompt response. I mean 4k30 at 100mbps isn't much tbh, my old GoproHero 8 black could shoot at 100mbps, high bitrate mode but being able to process it on the phone sounds nice. Just wanted to know if the phone could handle 4k60 editing because that's where even the PC starts to stress out, if a phone could do some quick cuts and compress and add effects on a 4K60 timeline, then that's absolutely nuts. :) I use capcut so I wanted to know about it, actually I wanted to know only about the 4k60 irrespective of application.
I subscribed for this one man. You go into the important details most phone nerds want to know. Unlike most youtubers that are all reading from the same fucking script, its INSANE 😂
The main complain that i have with android camera its exposure shifting in videos and a not on the par with video stabilization like iphone...i´m not even talking about raw(log videos). I thought that with hardware upgrade in camera, android phones would be able to catch Apple in my major complaint (exposure shifting). But no, i was wrong. Its all done beautifuly by Apple software. Said that, i prefer X100 pro camera package than iphone 15 pro max.
Mr. Juan, mind teaching me again, what phone brand has its dedicated desktop mode, other than Motorola, Samsung and RedMagic? Does Vivo has it as well? Lately i did get my hands on an old Samsung Note 9, and to my blown mind surprise, the DeX works like a charm, i can definitely say i can kick my old PC away, and just do my photo and video editing on that Note guy. So, i would like to know what other phone brand has the desktop mode, since i was a diehard Sony user before. 😂
I really want a decent camera for photogrammetry and have a phone to add value, otherwise I would have to get a dedicated camera and also a phone. The phone's hardware is exactly what I need as long as it doesn't heat up like a xiaomi I have that gets reeaaaaally hot, painfully hot

When the "slow cores" are most other phone's "medium" cores.
Please compare the Video shooting and rendering of this phone with Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
I have been keen on getting the s24 as my next phone, im on smsung A32, but after seeing videos about this phone i might be having a change of heart. That camera is legit iphone killer!
I have s22plus right now, and was thinking to buy s24 ultra, now I’m not sure rich phone I should buy
That's 250$ more but
a) he could sell 3950X
b) save on motherboard as MEG X99 CREATION was 500$ and for AM4 you could get solid board for 160$-200$.
I don't know this channel, just popped in for OP 12 review, but I'm guessing he is doing this for dramatic effect, notice that he never mentions the fact that this CPU is very old nor the specific Threadripper model, so he is not lying but it's not exacly true truth.
Watching this on my Vivo X100 Pro with visual enhancement enabled..and I favor this screen over Hwawei P60 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and Xperia Pro-I
It's real pretty.
Will you recommend this phone over S24 Ultra or Pixel 8 pro? Are you using the funtouch os? Any cons you like to mention that you faced so far?
@@faisalratul8778If you mostly take portraits with your phone, then you better avoid Vivo x100 Pro. Its AI algorithms are too visible and harsh for human faces (that grim cocktail of beautification and sharpening). Samsung s24 Ultra is not that aggressive. The current portrait king is Oppo Find x7 Ultra though. If you are going to use it mostly for street photography and landscapes (like me) and use it as a travel companion to your mirrorless full frame camera (on which you take your valuable portraits) then go ahead and buy Vivo x100 Pro.
@@faisalratul8778x100 pro is better than s24 ultra anyday
I saw sample images from it and they look ai sharpened.. from GSMArena.. is there an option to take a raw photo with actual resolution of the sensor?
Just question: Does X100 Pro have MHL for export to external monitor?
I honestly don't know if it's MHL, but there is HDMI out through the USBC.
Comparing between x100 pro and mi13 Ultra, which is your prefered workhorse?
Hi,
I am using Vivo X100 Pro and facing an issue with the camera fogging up frequently. You know how to fix this issue?
how do u feel about curved vs flat screen
I greatly prefer flat screens, but if the cameras are better, I can suffer through curved sides.
@@SomeGadgetGuy i wonder if x100s has good cams,it also has flat screen
The cameras are solid. In terms of hardware, it's much closer to the sensor level performance of something like the OnePlus 12. Should make for a very good all-rounder point and shoot camera.
Sorry, but it's this alien isolation game in a sandbox? Or what a game? Where I can find it? Thank you)
Native port for Android. In the play store.
Juan, do you think it is worth upgrading from X70 pro plus to this phone? Would love to know your thoughts.
Oh that would be a FUN upgrade. The X70 Pro+ is STILL hugely competitive against Pixels and Galaxies and iPhones, but the X100 takes that up a notch.
Where I can buy Vivo x100 Pro?
@AlexandreG how about another Chinese flag phone Oppo Find x7?
And S24 Ultra is basically the same phone, only more expensive because its "new"
Will it work good in the USA in terms of frequency range?
The X100 Pro was released recently in Europe in 2 countries only, Austria and Czech Republic, priced at €1,199 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage (1SKU only). One of the major downsides, IMHO, is that Oppo only provides 3 major OS updates.
I really don't understand why companies like Vivo release phones like this and then don't make them readily available for like 80 to 90% of the world.
In Slovakia it is released too for 1099€ + Vivo TWS2 for free
Did you buy the x100 pro ?
Please get the Find X7 Ultra. Your review on it will be amazing!
send him one
How does this compare camera wise to the One Plus 12?
@@SomeGadgetGuy ah so I'll still get updates even with Chinese rom on it?
I have on my imports yeah.
Can this be used in the US? Att specifically
I bought from Aliexpress. No issues.
I'll probably lose this marketing fight, but I'll go down swinging.
This is the phone I've been most disappointed not having here in America! Dang it 😫.
Me too. Well I know where to get it, but I'd be so much easier.
Best decision I made in terms of smartphones was getting the X100 Pro. This sets the standard for what a photography centric phone should be for me!
Vivo came out SWINGING this year.
Which video editing app's rendering interface was shown in this video??
It's LumaFusion I suppose.
Hypothetically, if Vivo X100 Pro had a launch in North America, do you think that it will sell well? Or just disregarded by most of the market? Would love to hear your opinion on this, Juan!
Does the vivo have something similar to Samsung Dex so I can actually use this phone with a mobile docking station?
Thanks for the review! Does the phone's video editing stock app include: changing the speed of the video (slower or faster), editing brightness, contrast, shadows, etc., and adding text on the video?
Nice case! May i know where you buy it?
It came with the phone 👍
I saw some debate some saying x100 pro China rom is better than x100 pro Global and some says otherwise. So I am lost. Which one is better and why? Pros and Cons? Issue with China rom Origin vs Global rom Funtouch.
... I really wish we would have access to many more phones in the states - vivo, realme, poco, iqoo, honor, etc ...
Same...
Yeah, I lived Lao 20 years and came back stateside a few years ago and I was like oh my gosh still there’s none of these phones here. Yeah I used to buy honor phones and I also like the Vivo brand back in the day I also had a Huawei
As do I. As it is you'll have to import them or find a reputable US seller. Vivo are very hard to find outside of the company Giztop.
How does the video quality seem to you? I’m not sure of you talk about it on patreon but the video quality seems exceedingly good for an android phone.
I like it a lot. I'll definitely be sharing clips in the camera deep dive.
Have it since release... its just an amazing beast.
The camera wows me all the time and you can clearly see that apple and samsung are sleeping in that regard.
Give me the pro plus with 3D fingerprint again.
Flat display, better speakers and it would be pure perfection.
I don't get it. IQOO is doing flat screen. I want that on VIVO SO BAD.
really good and original thought review..something refreshing rather than commercial review that all around us
Was just watching your video about vivo x70 pro and bracketed night photos. Not many people are mentioning it on the x100 pro, is it still a thing on vivo phones?
That's essentially what most "super" RAW modes are. It does the first edits on a stack of DNG files. It's still there.
Sadly, not many of us left really trying to push these things.
Wow! Great video. You nailed it.
oneplus12 with vivo x100 camera would have been great
It's not just the hardware... Zeiss made a huge difference
Already having my vivo x80 pro, brought on the facts you shared on this channel. Great phone amazing portraits but while using camera app, battery drain is huge and phone gets hot like hell and phone freezes . I missed a lot of frames while in the most beautiful places like kashmir 😢... Is the same issue is there for x100 pro... Pls replay 🙏🏻
Great job, i am fan of Chinese phone. Does Vivo origin OS have second or dual space?
We want Comparison between Vivo X100Pro and Oppo find X7 Ultra
There are comparisons already on TH-cam and the x100 pro destroys the find x7 ultra in all of them.
Very interesting video, in comparison with other smartphones, with the same hardware Vivo comes out on top for the excellent quality of its Zeiss lenses.
It's crazy though that there are not other phones using this chip.
It would be insane if you can do a camera comparison lf the camera app shots vs social media shots/recorded, so we can see how good or bad the actual content will end up looking. Thank you!
Does anyone have experience with the Vivo at concerts? I have a rock band and would like to film our upcoming concerts. How good are the built-in microphones? Is there a lot of clipping? In other words, is it fun to record concerts with it and listen to the audio recording afterwards? Thanks in advance!
My x100 pro global version just arrive today at home in France 🎉. Can't wait to unbox it...
where did you buy the global version?
Did you get it ?
i am trying to decide between the vivo x100 pro vs the oneplus 12 does anybody have any reccomendations.
Depends on what you want. Better cameras and a faster CPU, or better gaming and longer software support. It's a fun battle between the two.

Please tell them to improve the audio capture over video. Both them and the oppo x7 u sound really poor.
I want to buy this but we just got the X90 Pro+ last year :'( my and my wife just share a single camera phone, to be practical.
maybe I'll wait for + or ultra version of this
It's a MUCH tougher fight looking back at the Pro+. It was a higher tier of phone than the Pro.
This year u may not get pro + like how we didn't get 60 or 80 pro+.
I've switched almost exclusively to T-MO MVNOs for my personal sim cards.
Only downside is no headphone jack lol but still, my V60 would well be capable of that as a side device.
What I wouldn't give for a phone like this to have a proper MONSTER DAC and a 3.5mm port... Sigh...
Any plan for a comparison?
even vivo x100 camera is much better than the oneplus 12. x100 pro you take the idea@@ankuro22
Not gonna lie I'm tempted. I really wanna get this phone. But I already set my eyes on the next Xperia. Good thing my country is has tons of options 😂
That's ALWAYS a fun fight.
Great video as always!
And oh, so far (march) this is the battery king and its not even close.
I'm always worried about the Dimensity 9300 thermal management since there's no efficiency cores. But when I looked at how the chipset performs in GSMArena review, I don't need to worry about it. Definitely in my list.
It's a different animal, and you cant run it exactly the same as an 8Gen3, but I was VERY pleased how well it handled the daily phone stuff.
Can you do a street or nature photography using that phone sir? And video montage on city night lights

Keep it up!
A few of us nerds out there, and I'm always glad to chat with more 👍
Great unbias review as always!
Nah, I'm waiting for Vivo X100 Pro Plus.

I wish Vivo sold their phones in the US.
Flagship Honor have desktop mode similar like Huawei
I really want a decent camera for photogrammetry and have a phone to add value, otherwise I would have to get a dedicated camera and also a phone.
The phone's hardware is exactly what I need as long as it doesn't heat up like a xiaomi I have that gets reeaaaaally hot, painfully hot
