I love our National Anthem and I wouldn't change a note of it but it is one of the most difficult songs to sing EVER because it has extremely high notes and extremely low notes and not many people have the range required to sing both. Most people sing what they can and then they fade out or start singing harmony when it gets so low or so high they can't reach the notes. Someone in this choir not only hit the high note in "land of the FREE" but they took FREE up even more. Beautiful job. Thank you for your reaction to this. I am an OLD woman but I think I tear up pretty much every time I hear this wonderful song.

So by the video saying colonies and not states, that implies that they think it was written during the Revolutionary War. Perhaps it was just a mistake or it could be because the War of 1812 is often called the 2nd Revolutionary War
@@icyhnbryce3914 It could ALSO be because we were still CONSIDERED the British Colonies (even by ourselves) at the time. The difference being that we had gained our independence, but our (not too long before) roots, was..... YOU GUESSED IT..
You claim it's "LOADED" win inaccuracies, and if your need to play wordy word is the best you can do, then you MIGHT want to try to stop DECEIVING people.
This is a HUGE PROBLEM TODAY!! People trying to DESTROY OUR HISTORY, and MISQUOTING, or trying to justify "accuracy" based on not understanding the MEANINGS of history, is why our country is GOING TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET....
Are we REALLY going to jump in a hand basket and go to hell? NO STUPID, it's a representation, LIKE how COLONIES were used in this story!!
When you believe statements can't go beyond the dry wording, YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND *_MEANING_* !!
not an american but that was emotional i almost choked up
I know this comment is just about the anthem, but thank you. As an american rn, this means a lot with everything going on. I hope your having a lovely day
As an American... This made me cry like a baby. How incredibly BEAUTIFUL!!!
Me too!
This hotel by accident or not has the best accustics, this has been going on years before this performance
Thank you so much to reacting to this! I performed this live in this same building for all 4 years of high school and they did it for 3-4 nights every night during the Allstate season. It’s so much more beautiful in person! ❤️❤️
My pleasure. It was brilliant
Thank you for all the kind words and for this video.
My ancestors came from Scotland ... I also love "SCOTLAND THE BRAVE!" ... I also get chills whenever I hear that one! 👍
The inspiration for the song was nothing less than divine Providence--that's why it gets into your soul and I'm not sure there's another nation in the history of the world that could make that claim
This is how the Star Spangled Banner was meant to be performed.
You are an honorable man. Thank you so much for posting. Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you very much
This sends chills all through my body!! Nothing more beautiful to my patriotic heart than to hear this!! ❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’m incredibly honored that you reacted to this video. I was able to be apart of it that year and it is neat to see others watching us sing our anthem. It’s my favorite part of Allstate, and I’m glad that others enjoy it just as much as I do.
The most beautiful version ive ever heard, brought this man to tears
You guys did it beautifully!
Thank you so much for this. Y’all did a great job!!🐝🤗❤️
Sobbing. If that doesn't move you I don't know what will. Amazing. God Bless my home, God Bless America 🇺🇸
I was born in Kentucky and this just makes me weep at the beauty of it.😊🐝❤
I'm 64 years old and I have always gotten tears in my eyes when I hear the National Anthem.
I’ve watched this very rendition on numerous TH-cam channels and it brings me to tears every darn time. I’m a Kentuckian and have lived in the Louisville area all my 58 years of life. The location is the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Louisville Kentucky. It is a yearly tradition (or was) during the Choral High School Competitions that this hotel host the competitions simply because of the acoustics. This is how the USofA National Anthem should always be sung, passionately, harmoniously and with proudness of being an American. God Bless the USofA and her people. 🇺🇸✝️🙏🏻💙🇺🇸
I've watched this rendition many times and it still give me full chills when I hear it. This is the way the National Anthem should always be treated; with beauty and respect! So glad you liked it so much!
It was Stunning. Thank you
4:03 there is one girl I can hear in there that sounds like an absolute angel.. wow.
Thank you for your respect for our National Anthem
CHEERS
As an American, I start bawling about three seconds into our Anthem. Oh, and I am a left-wing wacko Democrat - and proud of it.
Amazing isn't? The video never fails to give me chills and tears. This is how the America national should be song. My ancestors are Celtic and I truly appreciate your support for our anthem. Cheers to you my friend.
They sang at the 18 story Hyatt Regency every night at 11pm during choir competition.
It’s an amazing experience to hear in person. It is a yearly tradition and I was part of it in 2002. These are high school kids. The Kentucky Allstate Choir is made up of high school kids all over the state chosen to be a part of the choir and perform together. And this happens every year.
Sounding great , sung like it should be ! Go Kentucky !
I'm a proud American! I placed my hand over my heart when I listened ti that moving performance. I love my Anthem and I think of all who have selflessly fought for freedom and ther example of bravery it takes when evil is always out to destroy the freedoms of men! 🇺🇸❤🇺🇸 God Bless America and every one who fights tyranny for freedom!
It was absolutely 👏INCREDIBLE👏 being there. I was there during the performance. I get chills every time i listen to any song about the USA, probably do to the fact that i have family that served and i myself have also done indirect work for the US military.
Thank you for showing this..I'd never seen it and it made me cry! I'm a purely Gaelic American whose family has been here over 300 years. Ancestors fought England in the revolutionary war..and again in 1812. How blessed we have been..and may God continue to bless us!
My pleasure
Wow I really appreciate ur comments. While I was not in that particular video, I have been there at that hotel and sang the anthem just like that in 1995,1996,1997 & 1998 as a part of the Kentucky high school All-State Choir. That was very nostalgic and brought back great memories.
I'm from Kentucky and this was amazing to watch. I wish I could have been there when they were singing. it most of sounded awe-inspiring in person! loved the video keep up the good work and God Bless.
Kentucky All State Choir is a high school choir. The students compete to get in to the all state choir. There is an All State choir for every state in the US. There is also All Region and National choir. I competed every year for the junior and senior high school years. I made Arkansas All State once. it was fun.
Hey Highlander, the thing I really enjoy about your channel is once the video is put on , you don't speak so as watchers and listeners we get to experience it as well, brilliant, keep up the good work.
Simply BEAUTIFUL
Thank you from Harlan Kentucky.
Brings tears to my eyes - stunning!
EPIC! Was from the Kentucky Derby week. Awesomeness.
i live right next to the appalachian mts in kentucky.. i grew up in glasgow, kentucky.. scottish settled this area.. my family migrated from scotland to here early 1800s, sometime before 1831... i am a war veteran and i love them singing our anthem so beautiful and in my home state
I've watched this so many times. I love it. I actually got to perform with the All Dtate choir for KY one year and it was so rewarding
Beautiful. Thank you, sir.
That was the BEST rendition of our national anthem I've ever heard!!
God bless you and wherever you go in life. Just found your channel but I love it. Your a great man, thank you for your service. Love from Colorado 🇺🇸🏴
Thank you very much for watching and your kind words. It means a lot
Hyatt Regency in Louisville,Ky! Going to repost in honor of the derby!
These kids did a beautiful job it was the best I ever heard in all my life and I’m 73 years old it was stunning it was actually gorgeous well done great job I’m very proud of you thank you thank you because you you made me cry for the first time in a long time
If there is a heaven, I hope it sounds like this.. Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing! Hello from Indiana, USA ❤️
OUTSTANDING. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Made me cry, I still love being an American. There could be hope yet for the Americans, the United States of America, home of the brave and free.
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏
It's a multi-state gathering of choirs to compete. This hotel gives them a price deal because they book the rooms years in advance. They do this every year. As the students graduate and move on it's a whole new crop of singers of course.
Thank you for your respect and appreciation of our country's founding and goals. Still not perfect, but we're still working at it.
I look for it every year on TH-cam. BEST rendition of our fantastic anthem 🎇🇺🇸❤
I performed 2 years in the Kentucky All State Choir. It was a great time and I was so surprised when I was selected because I had switched from orchestra to choir.
Yes, lot's of Irish and Scottish roots in the music from the Appalachia region. Love your reaction videos. South Carolina here.
Cheers from the US, buddy! Love your content!
Believe it or not, these are actually high school students. All State is an honor choir that each state puts together every year by picking teens from every school in the state who audition. I got to experience it growing up. It was amazing. The highlight of my high school career. 💕
