    Great Shooting, you got some awesome groups there!! I’m definitely getting some of this soon. They have 6 bricks of it at my local place for $70 each. The Tac 22 is $49.95 a brick. Got a few of those so far and I’ve had real good results at 50yards. Need to get a 100-300 yard scope on my suppressed 457 Jaguar. I’m staying with its original barrel and trigger group. SK Rifle Match has been awesome for me as well. I have been separating the rounds, tight crimped from loosely crimped projectile ones. It’s been fool proof. Separation of them for weight & rim diameter & thickness has been a waist of time. Loose from tight ones has been working. With all types of ammo, including the bulk. Thanks!

    yeah it is not to me either I have never been able to get Norma Match to shoot though. Now Norma TAC22 on the other hand was good but seems to have fallen off as well but not bad for plinking. I want some of the new norma long range exteme. My understanding they have had it for a long time but waited for their patented bullet to be approved.

    My experience with this ammo is that it wants to shoot, but is just never consistent enough for “great” groups. My Chrono always shows this as well. It’s great for the price and occasionally I get a good lot, but it’s like 1 out of 4 lots that I receive that is useable in NRL matches. At 300-400 yards it’s just not consistent enough.

      I agree. I actually like Norma ammunition. When it’s good it shoots as good as it gets. And just like all other .22 ammunition it depends on the lot. I’ve had my share of bad lots from SK, Eley you name it. Hell I paid $24 per box for some Lapua Super Long Range that didn’t shoot for shit. I’d rather pay $8. Lol

    From the comments and your video, it appears that Norma Match is very similar to SK Match. SK can be very accurate, but it varies from lot to lot. I have had bricks that we excellent and some not so much. The brick I have now will seem like there's several fliers in each box.

    • @RimfireSS
      @RimfireSS  ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems to be worse lately, I think there running there machines at full capacity and not checking tolerances like they’re supposed too. It’s always been somewhat inconsistent but its been horrible lately. And it goes for Norma and Sk and Lapua.

    I shot their Norma Match ammo also and got under 1/2" with all 10 shots on one bullseye at 50 yards. My 10/22 custom Shaw .920 barrel loves this ammo! Remember that some barrels prefer this ammo, and there are some that will not like it!

    • @RimfireSS
      @RimfireSS  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you have shot it in 8 different rifles and it shot the same out of every one there’s a problem with the ammo. I don’t say negative things about products unless I’ve tested it thoroughly. If you read the comments there’s a few other people with the same results.

      @@RimfireSS I would be happy to email you a photo front and back of the 10 shot group I fired with this ammo at 50 yards. I only use 10 round magazines in my custom 10/22's as that is what the rifle was designed for! Just like the AR-15 was designed by Eugene Stoner for 20 round mags not 30 round mags. Most problems are caused by magazine issues not ammo issues. Maybe you got a poor batch of ammo, or it could be using 15 or 25 round mags?

      @@bobbygray496 Bobby, I have shot .15 groups at 50 yards with this ammunition, I know it shoots. And I also know the ruger 15-25 round magazines put a tremendous amount of pressure on the rounds and damage the rounds before they even get to the chamber. But I have a bunch of theses rifles and most of them are not Rugers, there Bergaras, CZs and they don’t have the problems associated with the Ruger 10/22 magazines

      @@whiskeykilmer1866 a lot of the 15 and 25 round Ruger 10/22 magazines do damage the rounds while feeding. What are you thoughts about accuracy with a 22lr and the use of a suppressor?

    • @RimfireSS
      @RimfireSS  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really depends on how precise you wanna be. Some guys say there rifle shoots better with a suppressor and I’m sure that’s a harmonics thing, But Most .22 suppressors will have a impact shift if some sort vs shooting without one. Also .22 has alot of byproduct carbon, much more than a centerfire. It will collect in the suppressor, If you don’t keep that suppressor clean your gonna have accuracy problems. Also, that extra back pressure in the barrel and the action will leave alot more carbon and crap in the barrel which can affect accuracy also. And it will cause a semi automatic action to foul alot faster. Most subsonic .22lr is hearing safe as it is and that’s why you don’t see guys using suppressors in .22 competition. IDK, subs really are not that loud to begin with so why take the risk and problems that come along with it when competing. Now if your trying to be stealthy a .22 with a suppressor is about the quietest setup you can get, just make sure to keep the soot from building up in it and definitely zero the rifle with the suppressor installed.
