    Lars, I am a beginner to 360, I was searching you tube for tutorials on how to use it ( my work provides tutorials , but they were VERY boring) after looking at a few sites, I stumbled upon you, and boy I am glad I did! You keep it lite and interesting, I decided that I wasn't going to buy a 3D Printer until I was able to use the software, well after about a week of watching you after everyone went to bed I acquired enough conference to buy the printer! I just wanted to say thank you, and looking forward to more of your video!.

    have fusion 360 ( love using it) have Revit 014. Its good for general architecture but don't love using it for making detailed items. I want to draw a metal framework for a bldg. and then use revit to add layers to the bldg. and items like plumbing electrical etc etc . Have a vid showing how to export from Fusion to revit?

    Thanks again Lars. Any chance since you are closing in on 100 that there might be an excel or word file with links and remarks to every live stream you have done. I know you have done things I would find interesting but I don’t know where to find them. Thanks Bob

      Thank you Bob Sturdevant I need an intern :-) ....Can I be honest? I really don't want to manage such a list. Figure out where it should be stored, categorized and updated.
      Personally, I go to the playlist on TH-cam and do a Ctrl+F for search.
      With that said, a friend did create a pdf with links and descriptions through episode 67. I will be happy to share that if you want. email: lars.christensen@autodesk.com
      I'll love to hear any suggestions on how this could be done without manual labor :-)
      Have an awesome day!

      Lars Christensen thanks for the reply. Just returned from Jakarta and catching up on emails and comments. I understand about not having time. I will send an email to you requesting the pdf your friend made. Let me do some research and what would be the most painless way to do something like this. I think the hardest part is the storage of the file so you could start adding a link in the comments. Once we have that then adding in a single line like
      Episode #100, Subject, Link
      That info would be updated and then added to your comment section on episode #101. Which you then make mention of during you broadcast. You could do this easily between changing diapers, rocking the baby and getting cat naps of sleep since you won’t be getting proper sleep for awhile.
      Thank you again for sharing your knowledge. Cheers.
      Bob

    Lars, I want to 3D print a part by using Fusion 360 to design it from a drawing. Is it possible to import a .pdf of a drawing into Fusion 360 so that I can create a Model? Or, how can I import a drawing?

    • @MrFixel112
      @MrFixel112 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably figured it out by now, but for the other users: Under insert there is a field called canvas, i think. If a pdf doesn#t work, take a screenshot of it.

    Whenever I import a file into the side bar it will show up, but when I double click it, it just opens up an internet explorer link on the Autodesk page and the file doesn't go into my project. I've tried with all types of files but I can't figure out how to get it in. I am following the exact steps every time and have looked at a bunch of videos but it won't work. Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

      Someone else just had this issue. They ended up re-installing Fusion, I believe.

    Having trouble loading a DXF file generated by Solution Ware (geopath) 2010, it says Failed to insert this DXF file, thats it HELP

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      One idea could be to try to send something simple out of solution ware, like a square with a hole and see if that will be brought in. Now you know if it is the specific file or if is a software issue.
      dxf is pretty neutral though, I would think it is file specific

    When will Fusion enable Revit Family creation and editing?

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steven Raabe Thank you for watching!
      I am not sure. It is at its core a mechanical CAD software, but I am sure the developers are looking to do what makes the most sense.
      I am pretty low on the food chain so I don't really influence the software in any way.

    So, I'm a bit confused? A friend has asked me to continue a project that he has started. He sent me a link with a password. I can open that link and see the project. I do not understand how to get this data into my Fusion 360 work surface to continue drawing/building and adding more components? Not sure what format to download/upload so I can edit and continue to work on this project?

    • @cadcamstuff
      @cadcamstuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Pete Panaia Thank you for watching!
      There are a couple of ways you can get into the project. One would be that he invites you to the project so you both can work on it. The other way, what is the way from your explanation is that he send you a public link. You can click the arrow in the upper right corner and download as a Fusion archive. Then you can upload the file into your project.
      Hope this makes sense and is helpful.
      BEst,
      Lars
