To find a solution , we need to keep religion out of it , and we need to get back to first principles , we need to understand the fundamentals of the problem , the origins of the problem . So why does Hamas exist , where did Hamas come from , where did the majority of the people who live in Gaza come from originally . Once you establish the historical facts and everyone agrees on the history then a solution can be found . That's not as simple as it sounds , many people deny the history and use the Bible which was written in the Bronze age and edited many times over the centuries and millennia as a road map , no one knows what's true or false in the bible or if God exits at all , their is plenty of circumstantial evidence he doesn't exist , and zero actual evidence of his existence . A peace and reconciliation process where wrongs are admitted to and the history is agreed on , then a road map to a solution , I think the reason this has not happened is the problem of history is a big one , the right of return of millions of displaced people and the question of compensation for homes and farms taken is overwhelming . I still think a solution is possible , the whole world wants to find a solution so anything is possible with the right attitude , of forgiveness, kindness and a desire to do the right thing for all peoples . .Most people don't care if its a one state or a two state solution and actually I think Palestinians would agree to a One state where they are given equal rights , but I personally think a two state is better for Israel because in the long run with demographic changes etc and the effect of that in a democracy . .
