@MStrange88 I like VR a lot as well! But I get motion sickness from VR. Olus I love the wider field of view that my triples offer and being able to interact with my gear freely around me 😊 So there's pros and cons with both options 😉
@@ProjectSimRacing definitely. I used to get the vr sickness within about 3 minutes lol. Start sweating and feeling nauseous. That’s when you stop and try again later. Now I can play for hours without getting sick. Your setup is sick! Congrats on it!

So I figured it out! Finslly getting the crazy ffb you are yay! Some people say acc ffb is bad but for me on the dd+ its insane good. Nice and heavy tons of detail. Absolutely! Whenever people ask if the DD+ is a necessary step up from the CSL DD, I always say that if you're into ACC, then the DD+ makes a significant difference! While the CSL DD is fantastic, in games like ACC and truck sims like ETS2 and ATS, you can really sense the need for that extra force feedback the DD+ offers.😉
@ProjectSimRacing I'm just shocked how it almost never feels loose in the center. It always feels like there is weight/grip unless you actually lose grip or slide that's when it let's up and even then it's fighting back. I'm starting to see why some people like heavy ffb because it helps you know the limits of grip. When it loses thw weight is when grip is leaving. So much easier to notice. People who turn all of that off and all of the dampening and reducing weight are almost defeating the purpose of a dd wheel. It's not just about the detail its about the weight also. I hear all of the time you sont need it for the power you need it for the details but I'm starting to realixe the power is why it's needed for that weight and grip limit instead of getting loose when it shouldn't due to the torque not being able to be held. So it's both weight/force and details imo.

Very cool setup as always, though, i'm planning on building my own sim setup in the next months and my budget is pretty good so i wanted to ask, is there a difference between CS DD+ and DD2 besides the extra Nm that DD2 has? Is there a wheel base that's even better than these 2? Which one would be better/more similar compared to a real life race car(GT3)? I'm looking for something as realistic as possible
Thank you! Actually, from everything I've gathered, the CS DD+ might just edge out the DD2. It's Fanatec's latest offering and comes packed with the newest technology, including the anticipated 'full force' feature, which, though not yet released, promises to be a significant addition based on early tests. The main advantage the DD2 holds is its higher torque, but interestingly, the CS DD+ manages to maintain its peak torque more effectively than any other wheel base, including the DD2. And believe me, at 15NM, the torque is more than enough for most users! In fact I ended up using it at about 50% to 700%. This is based on reviews by others, as my hands-on experience with different wheel bases, while broad, isn't as deep. But from what I've tested, including products from Fanatec and other brands, the CS DD+ is among the top. That said, it's just my opinion, and I recommend watching as many reviews as you can to form your own view. If there's a contender, it might be Simucube, though it's been a bit since I tested their gear. I have a question about ATS, how do you get your truck to start right away. Mine doesn't do that, I turn on the engine it moves like a foot and shuts off, can you help?

That's a tough question! I believe VR offers a more immersive experience in many aspects, but personally, I deal with motion sickness from VR. Plus, the triple screens provide a wider field of view and easier interaction with my gear, which I prefer. Comfort-wise, triples win for me too. It really boils down to personal preference and what aspects you value most in your sim racing experience😊

@tztok-rubkok6789, you've got a sharp eye! 😁 Indeed, I use fishing line to secure the bezel kit closer to the screens. It's tied off at the back of the TVs to keep everything neat and as invisible as possible. Works like a charm! 👍
@@ProjectSimRacing I think I am going to do the same on combination with 1mm wide lcd repair tape along the edges to keep it firmly secured, but the fishing string center definitely seems like the way to go. What did you use to create a hole for the string?
@tztok-rubkok6789, that sounds like a solid plan! I used a 0.5mm drill bit to carefully make two small holes in each bezel kit for the fishing line. It's a delicate process, so take it easy and let me know how it goes 😊

I drilled two small holes in each bezel kit and then tied them together with fishing line. It requires a gentle touch as the kits can easily break if you're not careful. Just take your time with it, and you should be able to get a good result😊

Honestly, the Fanatec CS DD+ offers the best Force Feedback (FFB) quality I've ever experienced! That said, my opportunities to test new wheel bases are limited, so take my opinion for what it's worth. For a more comprehensive review, I recommend checking out channels like @boostedmedia and others that specialize in hardware reviews. They can provide a broader context that might help in your decision-making process. But I personally LOVE this wheel base! Even more then the DD2!

I try to avoid overhyping things, especially since I'm not a professional reviewer-I'll leave that to the experts. However, I must say, the difference between the CS DD+ and the CSL DD was more significant than I anticipated! The level of detail you can feel is noticeably enhanced, and the wheel itself is much stronger,😊

I have a question about ATS, how do you get your truck to start right away. Mine doesn't do that, I turn on the engine it moves like a foot and shuts off, can you help?

Do you find that the VR or the Tripple setup gives you a better sense of actually being in the car? I’m leaning towards upgrading to the Beyond VR as im really no getting the vibe I want currently
That's a tough question! I believe VR offers a more immersive experience in many aspects, but personally, I deal with motion sickness from VR. Plus, the triple screens provide a wider field of view and easier interaction with my gear, which I prefer. Comfort-wise, triples win for me too. It really boils down to personal preference and what aspects you value most in your sim racing experience😊

@tztok-rubkok6789, you've got a sharp eye! 😁 Indeed, I use fishing line to secure the bezel kit closer to the screens. It's tied off at the back of the TVs to keep everything neat and as invisible as possible. Works like a charm! 👍
@@ProjectSimRacing I think I am going to do the same on combination with 1mm wide lcd repair tape along the edges to keep it firmly secured, but the fishing string center definitely seems like the way to go. What did you use to create a hole for the string?
@tztok-rubkok6789, that sounds like a solid plan! I used a 0.5mm drill bit to carefully make two small holes in each bezel kit for the fishing line. It's a delicate process, so take it easy and let me know how it goes 😊

Yes, that's exactly right, I run them at 7680x1440 so I'm able to run them at 120fps 😁 Not even my 4090 can handle 3x4k TVs at 120fps unfortunately.. Maybe the 5090 will 🤞

@kelvinthomas3340, no worries at all, I'm happy to help! I don’t make videos on this subject, but the process I used is straightforward. I drilled two small holes in each bezel kit and then tied them together with fishing line. It requires a gentle touch as the kits can easily break if you're not careful. Just take your time with it, and you should be able to get a good result😊

Inoltre, i tre schermi offrono un campo visivo più ampio e un'interazione più facile con la mia attrezzatura, che preferisco. Per quanto riguarda il comfort, i tre schermi sono anche la mia scelta vincente. Alla fine, dipende dalle preferenze personali e da quali aspetti valuti di più nella tua esperienza di sim racing. Sì, gioco su PC e, considerando la tua 7900 XTX, potresti avere un'ottima esperienza sia con il VR che con i monitor. Sta a te decidere in base a cosa valorizzi di più. Honestly, the Fanatec CS DD+ offers the best Force Feedback (FFB) quality I've ever experienced! That said, my opportunities to test new wheel bases are limited, so take my opinion for what it's worth. For a more comprehensive review, I recommend checking out channels like @boostedmedia and others that specialize in hardware reviews. They can provide a broader context that might help in your decision-making process. But I personally LOVE this wheel base! Even more then the DD2!

How is the CS DD+ compared to the CSL DD one?
I try to avoid overhyping things, especially since I'm not a professional reviewer-I'll leave that to the experts. However, I must say, the difference between the CS DD+ and the CSL DD was more significant than I anticipated! The level of detail you can feel is noticeably enhanced, and the wheel itself is much stronger,😊
